President Donald Trump received a McDonald’s delivery in the Oval Office from DoorDash driver Sharon Simmons during a White House event promoting his proposal to eliminate taxes on tips. The measure, part of what he calls the “One Big, Beautiful Bill,” would allow workers in tip-based jobs to deduct qualifying tip income. Simmons said she saved more than $11,000 under the provision, and Trump highlighted it as a key part of his tax agenda before tipping her at the end of the delivery.
