00:00And if you're on the price cap, while that went down a week or two ago, it's almost certainly going
00:04to rise heavily in July by about 16%.
00:06Now, the problem for the last month or so has been that the cheapest alternative, the cheapest deals you can
00:12switch to where you can fix and lock in a rate, they'd be more expensive than the April price cap.
00:18But on the back of last week's ceasefire, because wholesale rates came down, there are right now, and I mean
00:24right now, I can't vouch, they'll still be there in two days' time, right now, there are a couple of
00:30fixes that are cheaper than the current price cap.
00:32So you could lock in at this rate when the price cap's here, and then that price cap's going up
00:38in July.
00:38So if you want to avoid those price hikes in July, there is an opportunity right now.
00:43Now, of course, the ceasefire is teetering. If that disappears, then I suspect the fixes will disappear too, because things
00:50could also get better and those fixes will get cheaper.
00:52But if you are worried about price rises, which are likely to go up 16% in July and probably
00:58stay for the rest of the year, although we don't know that, then you right now should get yourself on
01:03a whole of market comparison site.
