The new GLB features a comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems, including the DISTRONIC adaptive cruise control, which is standard in Europe. MB.DRIVE ASSIST is available as an option in Europe. It complements DISTRONIC adaptive cruise control with steering assist, making it a state-of-the-art driver assistance system of SAE Level 2. The lane change assist, also included in MB.DRIVE ASSIST, simplifies lane changes with a single click of the turn signal lever. The hardware in Europe comprises eight cameras, five radar sensors, twelve ultrasonic sensors, and a water-cooled high-performance computer with ample power reserves for future functions and regular over-the-air updates. These safety assistance systems can help prevent a wide range of accidents. Many digital extras are available at market launch or can be ordered via the Mercedes-Benz Store. Additional digital extras can also be added later.
