China has thrown its support behind Iran, warning the US not to "Meddle in Our Affairs" after Washington announced a Naval Blockade of Ir-@-nian ports.
The blockade, enforced by US Central Command starting April 13 at 10 a.m. ET, targets all maritime traffic entering or leaving Ir-@-nian ports. China's defense minister, Dong Jun, made it clear: "Our Ships are moving in and out of the Strait of Hormuz. We have trade and energy agreements with Ir-@-n. We will respect them and expect others not to meddle in our affairs."
China is the largest buyer of Ir-@-nian oil. Any disruption to shipments through the strait could hit both Ir-@-n's revenue and China's energy supplies.
The US says the blockade will be applied "Impartially" and will not impede vessels heading to non-Ir-@-nian ports. But early shipping data already shows limited movement through the strait compared to pre-war levels.
With Beijing backing Teh-ran, the geopolitical stakes just got higher. 🌏🇨🇳🇮🇷🇺🇸
