00:00If you're a big fan of Luke Ross's real VR mod for Cyberpunk 2077, then bad news.
00:06He's accused CD Projekt of Ironclad Corporal Logic after it DMCA'd the project.
00:12The studio decided that it would follow in Take-Two interactive software steps
00:16and issued a DMCA notice against me for removal of the Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod, he said.
00:23Not everyone is sympathetic, mind you.
00:25In 2022, Ross was estimated to make $20,000 a month from the mod,
00:31which he distributed to subscribers on Patreon.
00:35Some have pointed out he could escape CD Projekt's wrath by giving away the mod for free
00:39and including an optional donate button.
00:42Others took his side though and have written to CD Projekt to plead for leniency.
00:46For his part, Ross says he's bitter about the takedown.
00:50But hey, some good news, he's announced a real VR support for Baldur's Gate 3.
