00:40The Philippine government suspends the excise taxes on liquefied petroleum gas or LPG and kerosene.
00:47President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. says this will shed around 37 pesos off the price of one LPG tank and 5
00:53pesos and 65 centavos off the per liter price of kerosene.
00:57This comes on the heels of Marcos' announcement of a significant rollback in fuel prices Sunday, April 12.
01:03He said diesel will roll back by at least 20 pesos per liter, gasoline by 4 pesos and 43 centavos
01:09per liter, and kerosene by 8 pesos and 50 centavos per liter.
01:13It will take effect Tuesday, April 14.

01:25Marcos acknowledges the latest rollback remains insufficient to fully address the burden of rising expenses.
01:30He adds, the government will continue to implement interventions aimed at easing costs across transport, food, and basic goods.
01:37Meantime, former LPG Marketers Association representative Arnel T. says,
01:41LPG consumption in the Philippines has dropped by 30 percent in the last 40 days as Filipinos shift to charcoal.
01:47Companies estimate that LPG prices may increase by 17 to 36 pesos per kilogram this April.

02:16impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas.
02:22It includes all Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
02:26It adds, vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz to and from non-Iranian ports will not be impeded.
02:32Trump says U.S. forces will also intercept every vessel in international waters that had paid a toll to Iran.
02:38He adds, the U.S. Navy will begin destroying mines that the Iranians had dropped in the Strait of Hormuz,
02:43a choke point for about 20% of global energy supplies.
02:48U.S. President Donald Trump issues a scathing attack on Pope Leo,
02:52calling him weak on crime and terrible for foreign policy.
02:55This after the religious leader criticized Trump's foreign and immigration policies.
