00:00Brian Hooker, whose wife Lynette vanished more than a week ago in the Bahamas, described the
00:04events surrounding her disappearance during a phone call to a friend. A call that is pretty
00:08darn suspicious. Lynette Hooker disappeared after allegedly falling out of a dinghy on April 4th.
00:14Three days later, in a call verified by CBS News, Hooker told a friend, quote,
00:19it was a cascade of failures and it's something I'm never going to forgive myself for. Now,
00:25Brian was in the dinghy with Lynette at the time, so like I said, this conversation is pretty
00:29sus. Brian goes on to say the pair stayed out too long after dark and that he, quote, threw the
00:35anchor out last instead of first. He also told his friend that he couldn't fully explain what
00:40happened, but that he now hates his boat, promising to never set foot on it again if his wife is
00:46not
00:46found. But perhaps the strangest part of the call is when he breaks into laughter at certain points
00:52while he's recounting losing his wife to the deep sea. Now, Brian was brought in for questioning and
00:57arrested by Bahamian authorities last week, but as of Sunday night, had yet to be charged with any
01:02crime. His detention by authorities was extended to about 7 p.m. tonight, at which time he'll either
01:07be recharged or released.
