00:05from the Sungai Bulo prison compound last week to determine whether there were any breaches of
00:11standard operating procedures, SOPs. Selangor Police Chief Datuk Shazali Kahar said on Monday
00:18that the case is being investigated under sections 223 and 224 of the Penal Code,
00:26focusing on possible negligence or procedural weaknesses, he said statements have been
00:31recorded from personnel, including officers from the prisons department, as well as detainees who
00:37witnessed the incident. No arrests have been made so far, although some individuals have been relieved
00:43of their duties. Police believe the suspect, 24-year-old Muhammad Hassan, is still in the
00:49Sungai Bulo area. Efforts to track him down have now entered the fifth day, with support from
00:55multiple agencies. Shazali said authorities also believe the detainee has not yet established
01:01communication with any associates. In a separate development, police confirmed that security
01:07checks at all entry points into the country have been tightened to prevent the suspect from
01:13fleeing abroad.
