00:05Can you contrast the first and second half you were really competitive, is that a disappointment really in the second
00:11half?
00:12Massively disappointing, especially from my first half performance, but it's happened too many times where Mansea started the second half
00:19better than us.
00:20That can happen against a good team, but what you can't do is concede two goals in the manner that
00:25we did so quickly one after the other.
00:27And again, it comes down to resilience and difficult moments and seeing those moments through and making sure you're still
00:33in the game.
00:34Dom?
00:35Maybe you just talked about the difference between the two halves, but even in the first half there seemed to
00:39be moments where from your technical area you were maybe showing a little bit of frustration that your team weren't
00:44moving it out wide to those sorts of areas as quickly as you might have hoped or they weren't really
00:49taking risks.
00:50Did you feel that Chelsea had moments made a little bit within themselves?
00:53I think at the end you do. In the second half, a second half performance was nowhere near what we
00:58wanted or what we expected at half time.
01:00The way I coach, I try to help the players in the moment. There was no frustration in the first
01:05half performance.
01:06I felt in the first half, our defensive structure, we were organised, we were very difficult to break down.
01:13Transition moments, we looked to threat. And actually, Cuckoo's goal is, I think it's an inch or I don't even
01:19know how close that is.
01:22I still don't know, to be honest, but they've made their decision. No, but what we have to do, I
01:28don't want to talk about the positives because the reality now, there's too many times in a short space of
01:34time where we go a goal down and then quickly followed by another.
01:37And that's something that just can't happen moving forward.
01:40Jack?
01:41There'll be plenty saying that Enzo could have made a difference if he was playing. I just wonder what your
01:46response would be to that and whether it's something you would think reflects on.
01:50Possibly. Possibly hindsight is, you see 20-20 in hindsight. Enzo's a top player and honestly, he's a top character.
02:00And I'm looking forward to having him back next week. Sometimes you make decisions not based on the short term,
02:07you make decisions based on what you want to see long term.
02:10And it was a long term decision that myself and the directors and the club aligned and the leadership group
02:17of players that we made to make sure that our values and our culture in the long term is in
02:22the right place.
02:23But Enzo is now clear. He's had the conversations he's needed to have. He's been fantastic in the last few
02:29days in supporting myself and the team, and I can't wait to have him back in the squad.
02:33Can you just mention about the response to setbacks? In terms of addressing that, is that something you can change
02:39within individual players?
02:40I have to. I have to. I have to. Right now, we are still in the race for the Champions
02:46League. We still have the possibility to win the FA Cup. I have to change it now.
02:50I'm not a manager that hides behind maybe we need to do something with other players in the transfer market.
02:58I need to change it now. That's why I'm here.
03:00So it's something that we have to address because it's happened too many times where we've been in games against
03:05top teams.
03:07First half, I felt we actually were very, very good today. Same against PSG for 75 minutes, but then we
03:13concede and then the cards start to fold.
03:17Liam, you were talking about the long-term, and you made that decision for the long-term, but we also
03:22heard Pep talking about the hierarchy and how well he's built with Man City.
03:26I was wondering, does this run say anything about the long-term party that you're currently on, especially with these
03:31results in your life?
03:34Yeah, obviously I'm here. I need to win in this moment. This is a huge football club.
03:41When I first came, I never asked for a lot of time because I understand this club. I understand the
03:46traditions and the history of this club.
03:49I would like to have that time, but I'm confident that in that time that you can create something very,
03:54very special within the time that it takes,
03:57which even someone as experienced as Pep or Jurgen Klopp when he won the titles he did at Liverpool, they
04:03had a year to sort things out.
04:06I've come in January, and it's not an excuse, it's a reality. I need to win in the now, and
04:11that's what I'll be focused on.
04:13I was wondering, is the negative momentum that's around now?
04:16Yeah.
04:16It is, but we have to keep working. We have to keep trying to improve. I have to get the
04:24team selection right on the balance of our attack in play,
04:27but also defending better in certain moments, and that's what we'll focus on.
04:31Liam?
04:31Hi Liam. You mentioned before you've been talking to the club about the future planning squad recruitment.
04:38Is physicality a consideration there because City and Biggers in most positions today seem to play a role in certainly
04:46the first and the third goal?
04:47Yeah. We've had, even over the last week, lots of detailed conversations about what we need to look like moving
04:55forward from the summer window.
04:57You talk about all different aspects of the game, physicality, technicality, positional things.
05:05They're all things that we're in talks in, and we know what we want to improve, and we know where
05:09we want to improve in the summer.
05:10Okay. Thanks, guys.
