00:04so what was the last time you spent time with Molly the last time me and Molly spent time
00:10together we went to a concert down in Dallas saw the band Tesla and had a ball sang along and
00:18we
00:20were making videos making vines recording laughing we stayed at one of the nicest hotels went to the
00:29the pool on the 17th floor and
00:39yeah
00:58we're in southern Oklahoma this area specifically where we're going back and forth between Carter
01:06County and Love County is a very different area than previous small towns that we visited because
01:13this is the heart of Indian country around here is Chickasaw and as you go east it's Choctaw and if
01:23you go north there's Cherokee so that there's three tribal nations within very short distance
01:31it's worth noting that today most of the residents of this area are white but it is still official
01:39Chickasaw nation land
01:43now Oklahoma has this dark distinction of being the state that has the highest number of missing
01:51people per capita and that disproportionately affects the Native American population here so many kids
02:00come up missing every day I don't understand what's being done about it this is Wilson Oklahoma it's a
02:11little small town inside of Carter County population less than 2,000 people but of the people who live here
02:19they've been here for generations and two of these very long-standing families were deeply affected in July of 2013
02:28when
02:30Molly Miller 17 year old athlete at the high school and member of the Chickasaw nation went missing with her
02:37friend Colt Haynes
02:38pleased to do this 11 plus years later no one has any answers and recent changes in the way this
02:45case is being investigated are affecting the way that
02:49their families are able to get answers my name is Melissa Henderson and Molly
02:57Miller is my daughter Molly is Chickasaw being on my side of the family I was
03:03born and raised in Wilson does it feel like a safe place to live it used to I
03:11don't know that anywhere would really feel safe anymore the last text I got from
03:21Molly was on that Saturday she was going to the lake to hang out with her friends
03:25around the 4th of July I tried to call her number and someone answered the phone and
03:32they hung up and that that was really aggravating because I had not physically
03:36seen her had not heard from her it was time for her to come home I got a phone
03:43call an old family friend and he told me you need to get down here something ain't
03:49right my name is Garrett Lambert I'm Molly's brother part of me felt that
03:55Molly was fine this is just teenagers being teenagers because there's times when
04:02I was a teenager I wouldn't come home I know I've taken many hours of sleep from
04:09my parents and grandparents by Monday I knew that something was wrong I went to
04:16the Wilson Police Department they just said not to panic it's not unusual that
04:21teenagers run away from home or they're mad at their parents in that situation
04:26they always encourage you to wait to let's give it time
04:36my name is Richard Parsley I was the captain of the Wilson Police Department in 2013
04:43it was Sunday we were right in the middle of shift change when a black Honda turned into the
04:51parking lot and just did doughnuts slinging rocks all over my patrol car it was like they were
05:00taunting me so at that point I activated my lights and siren and I went after them they got a
05:07pursuit yeah
05:08it's a black 2012 Honda Accord the vehicle then turned left onto the South Highway I was able to call
05:17out the tag number to my dispatch and trying to call out every road that we're passing and direction
05:26we noticed he was heading towards love County I clocked the car at about 120 miles an hour in a
05:3365
05:34mile per hour zone at this point this is a felony pursuit
05:41she advised they just turned on water moccasin now water moccasin road is the county line of
05:47Carter County and Love County the vehicle continued east and at that point it was all gravel roadway
05:57all the dust was kicking up in front of me and I lost sight of everything and I was losing
06:04control of
06:04my patrol car they're on a gravel road and they can't see them right at that point the Honda turned
06:11off all headlights and taillights I stopped pursuit because it was far too dangerous to continue whenever
06:22I slowed down to where I could see again the vehicles gone my dispatch was communicating everything to
06:32Love County the Love County Sheriff's Office is an active pursuit of this vehicle at this point my
06:41unit's advice they do believe it's connet probably going to a Long Hollow Tony up is a convicted fellow
06:49and Tom was living down on Long Hollow Road at this time now he's Joe Russell I was a sheriff
06:56of
06:56Love County in 2013 I called Officer Blagg and told him to to block Long Hollow Road and all he
07:04seen was dust when
07:06he got the Long Hollow Road and he followed the dust but nobody seen the car on Long Hollow so
07:12I didn't
07:13know which way it turned I had officers all over Long Hollow we searched for tire tracks or anywhere the
07:23vehicle could have gone it was a lot of wooded area and we couldn't see anywhere well they was out
07:31there
07:31to two two or three o'clock in the morning it was like the car just disappeared on July 8th
07:39the following
07:39day after the pursuit I was notified by Chief Fernandez that Molly Miller had been reported as a runaway I
07:47followed up with the first lead I had which was Jessica Williams the friend of Molly Miller the last
07:54time she talked to Molly she was with two other people at Colt Haynes and Conn Nip while I was
08:02interviewing Jessica she said that Molly Colt and Conn were hiding out from the police because they were
08:10involved in the pursuit the other night I realized that was the same vehicle that I was involved in the
08:18pursuit in so after I was able to run the tags the vehicle returned to Sabrina Graham she was a
08:27friend of
08:27the Nip family Sabrina had reported the vehicle stolen it was speculated that Conn Nip was driving the
08:35vehicle and had in the car with them Molly Miller and Colt Haynes early on in the investigation we knew
08:42Conn Nip's whereabouts he refused to speak to any law enforcement at that time and we could not locate Colt
08:50Haynes
08:54I'm pretty sure it was July 10th when Molly's cousin got a hold of me and asked if I had
09:01seen Colt or Molly and I
09:03told her I hadn't but I would try to get a hold of Colt and get back to her my
09:09name is Monique Stewart
09:10and Colt Haynes is my baby brother I started messaging Colt and I don't know I probably sent
09:17him 30 or 40 messages over the next two days just let me know you're okay let me know you're
09:22okay and
09:23then when he wasn't answering then I was getting worried when I went to file the missing persons report
09:32my older brother Jesse stood up and started saying no he's like you can't file a missing persons report
09:38they're in Wichita Falls I know they're in Wichita Falls so what's the big deal if I file a missing
09:43persons report if they're in Wichita Falls they find them in Wichita Falls then they can disregard
09:47the report kind of made me uncomfortable that he would argue with me about it I went home and tried
09:53to
09:53get a hold of Colt several more times and then on the 18th of July I went to Wilson and
10:01filed a missing
10:02persons report we began to put the cases together my hopes were they were just running and hiding
10:09there's nothing that we know of other than they are still missing I have a teenager and it is
10:25unimaginable that any mother would have to live any amount of time but especially not 11 plus years
10:33not knowing what happened to their kid there have been news stories podcasts you know TV shows coverage
10:41of this case and those stories are largely pushed by members of Molly's extended family but the person
10:51closest to her her mother Melissa Henderson has remained pretty silent so she's been gracious enough
10:57to invite us over today where we're also going to speak with Colt's sister Monique it's so nice to
11:04meet you I'm Hillary Monique nice to meet you how long have you two known each other we met when
11:12Colton
11:12Molly went missing had you ever heard of Molly no I mean I talked to my brother often he's never
11:21told me
11:21about a girl my mom Molly if we can get a sense from you guys who was Molly who was
11:28Colt and so I'll
11:29start with you Melissa well she was just a fun girl friends with everyone she was a ballplayer she was
11:37a
11:37dancer she was a lot more athletic than I was that's for sure she had grit and then what about
11:46Colt we were
11:47really really close I was nine when Colt was born so I put my baby dolls down and carried my
11:55little
11:55brother everywhere so you're practically a little mom yes and then when he got to being a teenager he
12:04just got into partying drugs and then he went to juvie for a while but got himself cleaned up after
12:12that
12:12he was doing really good you know had a girlfriend had a baby and then they broke up and he
12:19fell apart
12:19again I would love to go back to July of 2013 did you know who she was with that night
12:30I was told that
12:31she was with con con con nip mm-hmm and is that someone that you had known mm-hmm before
12:40I knew con's
12:41mother and then cons mother's parents knew my parents okay and I never had a concern about her being with
12:50him because I knew him yeah when I found out con was accounted for but Molly and Colt were MIA
12:59I didn't
13:00immediately think that con done something to them I thought you know maybe they had gotten lost out
13:07there what was the last communication that anyone had with them later I got in touch with one of Colt's
13:14friends who was like listen Colt called me asking to come pick him up on the seventh and was kind
13:22of
13:22frantic that he was lost out in the woods and they're trying to find the road and they can't get
13:27out and
13:28they've been walking they're hot so they're dehydrating fast my family owns property off of Pike Road and I can
13:38tell you that I would not want to be out there on a night in July in that area my
13:44name is Connor Choate
13:45and I'm the publisher of the Marietta Monitor here in Love County the area between Long Hollow and Pike
13:52Road off of Oswalt Road is a rural part of our community and the area they went into would have
14:00had
14:00animals from wild hogs to rattlesnakes and you have to remember July in Oklahoma is not very friendly it
14:09can reach to temperatures of well past 100 degrees you're talking about being in a wooded area it's
14:17thick you're scared you're nervous you're trying to get out of there you're lost you don't know where
14:21you are he told his friend he's like I climbed a tree trying to find a road and then he
14:30fell out of
14:30the tree and broke his ankle the bone was sticking out so he wasn't getting anywhere yeah on his own
14:37and poor little Molly there was no way she could drag him Colt was huge compared to her so she
14:42wasn't
14:43going to be able to help him yeah there was no way she was going to help him out of
14:46there the friend
14:48was on the phone was Colt so that friend had went down there looking driving up and down the road
14:54honking
14:54the horn to see if Colt could hear it yeah and Colt was like I can't hear it so at
15:01what point does this
15:02not become you know 911 showing up and paramedics and people going out looking for two kids who are in
15:11peril that question was asked and they were like well we're not calling the cops we're down here with
15:18drugs we're not calling the cops on ourselves what about the calls that your daughter was making a lot of
15:25the people she called said the calls were dropping that she was breaking up because of the service down
15:31there after the chase around 12 57 a.m. on the morning of July 8th Molly Miller does make a
15:42call to
15:439-1-1-1 however that call disconnects the dispatcher tries to call back and cannot reach them
15:49allegedly the calls eventually stopped that morning around 9 30 so at that point all communication that
15:58Molly Miller and Colt Haynes had with the outside world ceased and they are never heard from again
16:06there's acres and acres and acres of land that if you were down there and got you know injured
16:12people probably wouldn't find you for years there is absolutely nothing out there I mean you could fall
16:19off in a hole and nobody would ever know it there's a lot of theories on what happened when we
16:26look at it
16:26from a journalism perspective we really just try to stick to the facts what we do know about the case
16:31is
16:32that you have three people in a car con net Molly Miller and Colt Haynes one of them shows back
16:39up
16:39and then two of them have still yet to be found and I think that's what's led to a lot
16:43of people
16:43pointing at con net I did talk to con in the beginning and he said that he hadn't seen her
16:55and
16:56I was kind of disappointed that he didn't have any more information than what he had but he quit
17:00talking to me just early on it seemed like he knew something and he didn't want to tell us James
17:07con
17:07net quickly wanted to distance himself from this case there was a lot of rumors going around that
17:14con done something to Colt because con had reasons to be jealous of Colt Colt had a child with cons
17:22past
17:22his girlfriend so he had all the reasons not to want Colt alive I guess he was our person of
17:29interest
17:30because he was the last person to be with Molly Miller and Colt Haynes well con told me when I
17:39interviewed
17:39him he said uh we got out of the car I said I asked Molly she want to go with
17:44me she said no I'm gonna go
17:45with Colt Con left the car and he said I went home and they went the other direction
17:53Colt was still alive when Con got home in the morning Colt's friend went to Con's house while he's on
17:59the phone with Colt
18:00Con answered the door Con I guess takes the phone so Con and Colt talked on the phone so we
18:07know Colt was still alive when Con got home
18:10the property where we lost sight of the vehicle turned out to be a family member of con nips who
18:18owned a lot of property in that area
18:23we were given permission by the family to search
18:30it was a Wilson PD case and we'd system any way we could
18:37I had one officer who stayed out there all week from sunup to sundown walking not driving around walking
18:43around and looking for him no it's two weeks later before we found the car on July 21st 2013 we
18:55received
18:55notification that the vehicle was found in between Pike and Long Hollow it was impounded
19:04untouched then they investigated the whole vehicle as if there was a crime scene there was nothing found in
19:13the vehicle you hear stories about people go missing all the time and everybody links hands searching
19:20through woods or fields does that ever happen in the area where this car chase ended we got access to
19:28the land where they found the car to do a search which was the end of August early September but
19:37as
19:37we're searching we've got the landowners on horseback with shotguns not letting us go in certain areas that
19:47sounds super fishy right oh they're not welcoming anybody especially not the cops there's some outlaw
19:55stuff going on down there they might have a stolen piece of property they might have a dope cook whatever
20:03as this investigation is going the Oklahoma State Highway Patrol is able to link James Conn nip through phone
20:10records to the Honda Accord that Molly Miller and Colt Haynes were both inside of when they ran away
20:16from police the car that was left abandoned was actually owned by James Conn nips friend at the time she
20:24actually filed a theft report on the car being missing it turned out that there were text messages that
20:30showed that she knew where the vehicle was and that James Conn nip had the vehicle she was later charged
20:37for
20:38filing a false police report and insurance fraud and Conn nip was charged with endangering others
20:45while looting police officers and reckless driving and holding Conn accountable it wasn't bringing Molly
20:52back it wasn't telling us where they were but it was it was something we have reports in the Marietta
21:00monitor that he verbatim told them I don't know what happened to them he could have easily been
21:07cooperative with law enforcement cleared himself but he didn't the only person he would speak with
21:14would be the sheriff Joe Russell there were several accusations on Sheriff Russell that he was helping
21:24con hide evidence helped him wipe the car all kinds of rumors about Joe being involved Joe Russell
21:34has also been in the area for many many years and it was widely known that he was related to
21:41James Conn nip Joe Russell what is his affiliation with Conn nip so Joe is Conn's distant cousin okay but
21:52Joe was also a family friend of ours you know I was around Joe growing up my whole life what
21:59is your family's position on Sheriff Joe Russell's potential for help well I thought being a family friend and it
22:06being in Love County at this point that he would at least try to help us
22:10but when I talked to him but when I talked to him but when I talked to him it was
22:13I don't know anything you're gonna have to go to somebody else and that was it
22:17he never struck me as a bad guy but then you know now we're getting into this case and he's
22:24basically I can't help you so I did find it strange that he was refusing to help
22:31yeah
22:32you see the first week or the second week I called Joe Russell he told me I needed to call
22:37Wilson and talk to the chief there and I demanded and persisted and he hung up on me
22:46the relationship between Sheriff Joe Russell and James Conn nip fueled a ton of speculation
22:53him being related to Conn yes Joe Russell hindered the investigation
23:01so Joe why did you agree to talk to us today
23:08well I've been wanting to tell my story uh let people know you know what I've done what I'd done
23:15and
23:15ain't done and they got uh to uh accusing me of trying to cover stuff up and were you no
23:24I was not covering up
23:26for for the nip family or no other family
23:38you can't stop people from telling rumors
23:42they said that I knew who'd kill Colton Molly
23:46good and do you know what happened
23:49I have no idea what happened Colton Molly
23:53I think if Joe Russell wasn't sheriff that car would have been found that night
24:03and so would have Molly and Colt Joe messed this up
24:08in a small community like Love County it's not uncommon for someone to make a career out of being a
24:14sheriff
24:16when they get elected they're most likely going to serve in that position until they decide to move on
24:22or they do something really bad that gets them in trouble
24:25well Molly Miller went missing along with Colt Haynes in Love County three years ago
24:29the Miller family believes that Russell did not do enough to investigate because his nephew was a person of interest
24:35well today Russell was in court on an entirely different matter
24:39accused of harboring a fugitive and maintaining a meth house while serving as sheriff
24:45not long after Colt and Molly went missing
24:48Willie the sheriff's son got busted for dealing drugs
24:53the rumor was Sheriff Russell was allowing his son to deal out of his house
25:01and I think that there was even reports about he was harboring a girlfriend of his son's that he knew
25:07had an arrest warrant
25:08and the investigation was launched into him by the FBI
25:11you know as far as I know Willie never sold no drugs out of my house
25:16and Willie's girlfriend uh supposedly girlfriend
25:20she come over one night but she was not living in my house
25:24and I did not know she had warrants
25:28Sheriff Joe Russell was ultimately charged with two felony charges
25:33from a news point of view when your sheriff is indicted and arrested by the FBI
25:38it's massive and so we had an influx of news media coming from all over to cover
25:45what was going on with Sheriff Joe Russell
25:48when I told my friends back in Dallas that I was going to be moving to Love County that was
25:51everything
25:52that everybody talked about was that hey you know that's where the sheriff got arrested
25:56my reaction when I found out that our sheriff was arrested they did not surprise me one bit
26:02during the time of the arrest of Joe Russell there were also accusations that he had allowed James
26:09Kahn Nipp to beat in a room with evidence within the Love County Justice Center that was not under
26:16the watch of a Love County Sheriff's deputy
26:20all I can say is that's not true I never let Kahn go in the office and shut the door
26:26and visit with
26:27his family now with a lawyer yes but not with his family we always had somebody standing there watching
26:35him I never give Kahn no special privileges or nothing
26:49the end result is really twofold Joe Russell lost all of his credibility and really just fueled the
26:57theories about his department the Love County Sheriff's Office and also about Molly Miller and Colt Haynes
27:04and he loses his position that he's held for many many years
27:14well my lawyer taught me to resign
27:18I told him I said I don't want to do this I really don't
27:21man he said Joe it's a good deal it's a good deal I said I understand that but I ain't
27:25guilty of nothing
27:27I mean I'm not wishing for Joe's demise but
27:30it was definitely a W to get Joe out of office
27:36well do you feel like the headlines about police corruption stole the spotlight oh absolutely
27:43yes your case you know and that's where I was getting so aggravated on so every
27:49so much focus being on him I still didn't care about anything about him and what he did
27:54okay I wanted to focus on my child
27:59there were rumors that they had seen Molly and Colt alive they were in Norman Oklahoma that they
28:05went to Wichita Falls Texas there were rumors that they were probably in California Jesse is the one
28:13that told me that you know Colt and Molly are in Wichita Falls you know they're down there having fun
28:20I was all over from Norman to Wichita Falls to Gainesville to Durant most of those leads never panned out
28:32even before the sheriff has to resign local law enforcement turned the case over to
28:38the OSBI the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations
28:43I was not happy not happy that I couldn't do anything more I still wanted to find out what
28:50happened I think about it every day there's been all kinds of law enforcement to work this case
28:56early on you could tell the agencies weren't communicating and there was no urgency
29:07I was skeptical about the new agent but he actually took the time and listened and investigated
29:15he didn't give us any answers but started asking the right questions and the right questions being
29:21asked that gave me some hope once the OSBI took over the case I do know that they most likely
29:28followed a
29:29bunch of leads however to my knowledge there was very little movement as far as any charges that
29:35were filed there was nothing of that nature that the OSBI did during that time frame I spoke with an
29:41OSBI
29:42officer he said every lead I have looked at has led nowhere nowhere
29:54I feel this case has been passed around to I couldn't even tell you how many agencies it's got
30:01to be upwards of 10 just back and forth feels a whole lot of not it to me
30:11in 2020 the Supreme Court ruled on a case called McGirt versus Oklahoma and this case essentially
30:19established the sovereignty of the tribal nations and with that sovereignty also comes that if
30:26something were to happen against a Native American on tribal land that local law enforcement or state
30:33law enforcement couldn't get involved in investigation it would be solely federal and tribal law enforcement
30:40it was a huge ruling for the state of Oklahoma because most of Oklahoma is tribal land
30:47the McGirt ruling for Molly Miller means that state and local law enforcement were not allowed to be the
30:54lead agency involved after 2020 due to Molly being part of the Chickasaw Nation
31:04in the media coverage of Molly and Colt's case it's largely gone unmentioned that Molly is a member of the
31:14Chickasaw Nation
31:15and unfortunately Molly's case is not a rarity there is a disproportionate number
31:22of indigenous women who go missing every single year and talking about this epidemic is
31:29so important and so we are going to go speak with Carissa Hodge and she runs an organization called
31:36MMIP Chadha and that's the missing and murdered indigenous people Chadha
31:42so I'd love to know from Carissa what a family is supposed to do in a situation like this
31:52hi hello how are you good how are you I'm Carissa it's so nice to me to meet you as
31:58well
32:00can you tell me what the purpose of the organization is we started it to help
32:05our indigenous people so in Oklahoma City we had 271 missing last year and in Tulsa just last year
32:12yes and then in Tulsa we had 221 and so we had two cities out of Oklahoma that were some
32:19of the highest
32:20out of all the United States for missing native people I understand that especially in this case
32:25that we're talking about of Molly Miller you know there's lots of jurisdictions at play here and that's
32:30kind of true of any small town there's the local PD there's the county sheriff there's the state but
32:36the McGirt ruling has even taken that further yes so the BIA is at Bureau of Indian Affairs they are
32:44located here in Oklahoma and they'll get involved in any missing or murdered cases that we have as
32:49long as it's on tribal land okay um there's also if our own law enforcement the Chickasaw Nation has a
32:55light horse they're tribal police officers do you feel like if the BIA had been involved from the jump
33:01we would be further along in this investigation I 100% do um just because they do this all the
33:08time
33:08the Bureau of Indian Affairs is a federal agency and this agency allowed a fresh perspective on the
33:15disappearance of Molly Miller and they have a lot more resources than state or local law enforcement does
33:23Vincent Marcelino is the investigator for the BIA that's leading the case and him and I talked at
33:30length about the investigation he seemed that he had a really strong desire to see the case solved
33:38but now two years later hearing nothing there's not really movement and it gets discouraging because
33:45you know as an investigator he's getting more cases every single day Vincent Marcelino he is amazing
33:52but they are completely overwhelmed yeah we have four BIA detectives that cover Oklahoma
33:58four Bureau of Indian Affairs agents for the entire state why so few I don't know if it's budgets or
34:06or what it is what do you say to families like Molly's and Colt who are left with no answers
34:14I mean this
34:15many years later I tell them all the time and don't give up okay always say their name always share
34:23their
34:23story and continue finding resources you know it's never too late yeah sure is aggravating when people
34:32come to me saying why haven't they done this or why haven't they done that when if you try to
34:37call and
34:37get information that there's still certain things they can't tell you they'll tell you a little bit but
34:42they still won't tell you everything that they know if you were to go to a little local cafe around
34:47here and the subject of Colt and Molly came up it would pretty much be a unanimous thing that nothing
34:55was done the way it should have been done there's no closure and it's kind of a black eye on
35:00the county
35:01that nobody's seemed to be able to find what happened somebody knows where they are but nobody's talking
35:08who do you think is responsible for your brother's disappearance I wholeheartedly believe my oldest
35:15brother Jesse is the person that killed Colt and Molly
35:25I was at my grandma's house talking to my brother Jesse and he told me that him and Colt had
35:31gotten
35:31to a fight over a girl you know Jesse just said next time I see that little MF-er I'm
35:36gonna stab him
35:39growing up if he would get mad he would grab me by the throat and hold me up and up
35:44against the wall
35:44with my feet dangling until I turned blue that's what we survived I think that Jesse don't know
35:53I think there was a situation where the brothers got heated and Jesse probably killed his brother and Molly
36:00Molly's not gonna let it go so they had to shut her up Monique did you ever speak with law
36:08enforcement
36:09about your older brother Jesse yes okay there was a private investigator hired this is still pretty
36:17early on about a year and when he come in I was telling him that I thought Jesse was involved
36:24he was
36:24like no we know who did it we just have to prove it you need to quit spreading family rumors
36:28and keep your
36:29mouth shut about that Jesse's not involved so he made me feel about this tall um because you know who
36:37accuses their brother but he had motive he had means to me that would be enough to investigate
36:43yeah there are certain parts of this case that we know we know that your brother Colt was making phone
36:54calls yeah we know that he was near Connip's family compound how would your brother Jesse have known
37:05where to find them well I believe Conn or one of his family members called Jesse to come get Colt
37:14and
37:14Molly so I believe that they went and got Jesse so they didn't have to get law enforcement involved
37:23and I think Jesse took his chance while Colt was down and couldn't defend himself and I think Molly just
37:32was in the wrong place at the wrong time
37:41and trying to live with the thought that your own brother
37:51is involved
37:58and I'm the one pointing the finger
38:10there's been a multitude of things that I've heard on what happened on the early morning of July 8th
38:17I've heard that the nips were involved in some way I've heard that Colt Haynes brother might have had
38:24involvement but the truth is is that no one knows and hopefully someone will know eventually and
38:32hopefully we'll all know eventually we don't have an answer on what happened to them and it's been 12
38:38years this year I lost the daughter of natural causes and uh I used to tell people I know how
38:45you feel
38:46well you don't I can't imagine how the Miller family feels
38:51the Miller family and the Haynes family need closure
38:55I was like I've not done enough I mean there's got to be something
38:59I just hope no one ever has to go through a missing person or anyone missing because they're kind of
39:05on their own
39:05I just want it to be over you know I just I want the truth
39:11what would it mean for you to have people come forward after all this time
39:17it would mean everything to us I want what's my brother's body where he can be buried
39:27and we can have the closure we need for us to get answers it'll take someone on their deathbed
39:53the last thing that we know for sure is that Molly and Colt
40:04we're on this road and they ended up somewhere in these woods and then everything else is speculation
40:13we didn't come here trying to solve this case that's not our job our job is to talk about
40:21the systemic failures I think the call to action here is for law enforcement so many different agencies
40:29have had their hand in this investigation but what's been missing is the communication and the collaboration
40:36and so my hope here is that by shining a light on this story someone feels brave enough and safe
40:45enough to come forward because these families deserve to know what happened to their loved ones
40:55so
