00:00Discussions between Iran and U.S. delegations begin following separate bilateral meetings with Pakistani Prime Minister.
00:09Russia and Ukraine exchanged prisoners Saturday but also fired waves of drones at each other overnight,
00:16hours before a temporary ceasefire was set to take effect.
00:21Negotiations are ongoing between the U.S. and Iran on Saturday,
00:25with hopes of converting the two-week truce into lasting peace after progress was made in earlier indirect discussions.
00:35Three-party talks with the U.S., Iran and Pakistan began after a reduction in Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon
00:43and other preconditions being met, according to Iranian media.
00:47U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance is leading the U.S. delegation,
00:52while the Iranian delegation is led by Parliament Speaker Mohamed Baghe Khalibaf.
00:58Meanwhile, on Saturday, Trump said that the U.S. had started clearing out mines from the strait
01:04as a favor to other countries of the world.
01:07The U.S. said that two of its navy vessels had passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday,
01:13but Iranian state media earlier said that Iran forced a U.S. military ship
01:18that was attempting to cross the strait to turn around.
01:25Russia and Ukraine exchanged prisoners on Saturday,
01:28just hours before a temporary ceasefire was set to take effect for Orthodox Easter.
01:34The warring sides exchanged 175 prisoners of war, each in a mediation,
01:40carried out by the United Arab Emirates, according to officials.
01:44The exchange came just after both nations fired waves of drones at each other overnight.
01:50According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched at least 160 drones at Ukraine,
01:56killing four people in the countries east and south,
01:59with the Odessa region being among the hardest hit.
02:02Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said his country would respond,
02:07quote,
02:07in kind to any Russian violations of the ceasefire.
02:11Meanwhile, authorities in Russia's southern Krasnodar region claimed
02:15a wave of Ukrainian drones sparked a fire at an oil depot and damaged apartment buildings.
02:21Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday declared a 32-hour ceasefire
02:26over the Orthodox Easter weekend from 4 p.m. Saturday until the end of Sunday.
02:31A similar ceasefire was ordered by Putin last year, but both sides reported multiple violations.
02:41Ukraine says repairs to the Dujbo-ol pipeline will be completed this spring,
02:47but the politics surrounding it are far from fixed.
02:51President Zelenskyy confirmed this week that work is underway on the pipeline,
02:55which Kiev says was struck by a Russian drone in late January.
03:00The pipeline carries Russian oil to Hungary and Slovakia through Ukrainian territory,
03:06and this disruption has caused a major rift between Kiev and Budapest.
03:11Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban has accused Kiev of deliberately keeping the pipeline shopped for political reasons,
03:18blocking a 90-billion-euro-euro-euro-euro-euro-euro-euro-euro-euro-euro-euro-euro-euro-euro.
03:21EU loan to Kiev in retaliation.
03:23But Zelenskyy has pushed back, saying he is effectively being forced to restore the flow of Russian oil

03:39stopped short of saying any more.
