He’s 59. The altercation that got him kicked off his college football team was almost 40 years ago. And somehow, it’s still the loudest thing in his head. So he does the most stubborn, oddly inspiring thing imaginable. He goes back to school to finish his degree and then tries out for the team again. Because closure is clearly overrated and redemption is best served on a football field. Expect a lot of uncomfortable judgment, serious self-doubt, and the very practical problem of whether his body can still keep up. This isn’t a fairy tale. It’s a second chance with sweat, embarrassment, and the slow realization that forgiveness might be the hardest workout of all.
----------
