00:01Students and parents turned up in droves at the Star Education Fair, 2026, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center
00:08on Saturday, exploring a wide range of local and international study options.
00:13Organized by Star Media Group, the two-day fair features Pathways in Higher Education and Technical and Vocational Education and
00:20Training, TVET, alongside financial aid options such as scholarships and study loans.
00:25A total of 65 exhibitors are participating across 102 booths, with RHB as the platinum sponsor.
00:33We, BRHB Bank, believe that access to education is not always to be prevented by financial aid.
00:42So, our presentation is in the Star Education Fair today to help students to reduce costs to continue to study.
00:52Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology Associate Dean Dr. Chang Chung Yu said artificial intelligence, AI, is now
01:01essential in preparing graduates for the job market.
01:03AI is important because nowadays, students who are not equipped with AI, in the future they will have difficulty in
01:10finding jobs.
01:11Because across all industries now, AI is an important tool.
01:16So, in order to keep ahead of the competitiveness in the job market, our graduates should be well-equipped with
01:25AI knowledge and AI skills.
01:27Overseas universities also drew strong interest, with institutions highlighting flexible study pathways and international exposure.
01:34We have now, from this year, introducing all four-year or three-year programs in Malaysia.
01:41Previously, for most of our engineering programs, we had two plus two.
01:44So, they spent two years in Malaysia and they do final two years in Southampton, UK.
01:50So, we're going to give mobility to our students if they wish they don't have to.
01:55So, if they decide to get the experience of different countries, different cultures, different systems, absolutely, absolutely all right.
02:02I even have a Malaysian student from coming from here.
02:06We have students from Malaysia coming to us to study engineering in our English programs.
02:11And, well, looking forward to how they will do it.
02:14Many students said they came with clear goals, actively comparing courses, universities and scholarship opportunities.
02:21I went to MSU and it's like very helpful because of my results.
02:25I could get scholarships from there and useful information about my career in the future.
02:30I'm aiming for something in biology field, something we do with biomedical science like that.
02:36It's actually my interest.
02:37If I really like it, then I think I will go for it.
02:40I think that's the big factor everyone should consider.
02:42What we're doing is we're looking forward to looking forward to find a university that can provide.
02:48Maybe from the field that's best.
02:53And when we've graduated, we're looking forward to find a job.
02:58There's also a job to find a scholarship.
03:02If you're looking forward to it, you can be able to get a scholarship.
03:05That's one of my goals to come from here.
03:08I'm an SPM leaver and I'm here to find out about colleges and courses, part way I can take.
03:17I just need some guidance here.
03:19I have two in my mind.
03:21I am looking for business and IT.
03:23So I'm seeing what they offer, what the universities offer and everything.
03:29I'm interested in pre-university.
03:31I'm currently looking in foundation studies at UTM because I think it's close to home.
03:38I'm from Johor.
03:39So there's a branch in Johor Bahru that I think will be more suitable and more easier for me to
03:45access.
03:45The fair runs from 11am to 6pm until April 12th, offering free admission and door gifts for early visitors.
03:52Now in its 39th year, the Star Education Fair remains one of Malaysia's longest-running education exhibitions.
