Students, parents and teachers are visiting the Star Education Fair 2025 to explore study options locally and abroad. The fair is being held from Feb 15-16 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

00:00Students, parents and teachers are visiting the Star Education Fair 2025, being held through
00:09the weekend at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
00:12Organised by Star Media Group for the first time this year, the two-day fair offers various
00:17local and international study options as well as financial assistance, including study loans
00:23and scholarships.
00:24I actually found out about the fair through my father.
00:27He was the one that registered us for this fair.
00:30I was quite surprised to see quite a lot of universities offer the course that I'm aiming
00:35for.
00:36That was one thing that I was thankful for and another thing was I did manage to see
00:40some courses that I wasn't sure of and I didn't know about in the first place.
00:47My friend here, he told me about this exhibition so he helped me to buy the ticket so we come
00:52here together.
00:53This exhibition is kind of fun, also kind of helpful for us because we don't have any
00:58idea yet about what we are going to do.
01:00We also think that this is very helpful for us as the undergraduates.
01:04The fair features a total of 70 institutions and two automobile brands offering exclusive
01:10student packages across 100 booths.
01:13This year, education agency SI Global is partnering with the Star Education Fair to provide students
01:20and parents with information on study options at highly ranked institutions abroad.
01:26We've got an amazing set of universities here.
01:28So we've got University College London, we have the University of Bath, so we've got
01:31a load of UK universities.
01:33We've also got people who can help students interested in the US, Canada, all over as
01:38well so there's loads of choice and ranking is not the only thing but if that's a starting
01:42point for your research, it could be a good jumping kind of starting point.
01:47We have very high ranked universities as well.
01:49In Ireland, not just the education system but I think the way the degrees are put together,
01:55there is a lot of emphasis on employability and a lot of emphasis on industry led, industry
02:01focused courses.
02:03So when a student is doing their undergraduate, they actually get the opportunity to do internship
02:09or work placement and they're paid during that period.
02:12And many of these companies do look for the students after they have graduated for them
02:17to continue to stay back and work in Ireland.
02:20So the Irish government does have the Government of Ireland Scholarships which are available
02:27and they are actually open right now for Masters students, Masters and PhDs.
02:31So it's a one year scholarship, fully funded, so that is something that students can look
02:35forward to.
02:36For undergraduate level, many of our Irish higher education institutions have got their
02:41own funding and own scholarships.
02:43When it comes to classes and tutorials and so on, it's not just focused on one person
02:47giving a lecture to the whole, but it's more like a one to one session.
02:51They will encourage you to answer more in class, they will encourage you outside reading
02:57as well and they will let you know about what the real world experience is.
03:02And in that way, they sort of practice us for the future as well, not just education
03:06or theoretical based.
03:08So I think this university would be perfect for any students who want to go there, come
03:13back and work as well.

03:37We do have 32 programmes all together, degree programme and also postgraduate programme.
03:45And of course ACCA programme.
03:47The exciting part is we do have a degree certification together with professional certification.
03:53Our tech line is amazing, be a part of our amazing stories.
03:57We would like to have a holistic picture of a student and a character that is resilient
04:03and also of course professional.
04:06The Star Education Fair, which is in its 38th year, is one of the country's pioneer
04:11education exhibitions.
04:13The fair is open from 11am to 7pm, with free admission and door gifts awaiting the early
04:19birds.
04:20A mystery gift will also be unveiled during the event for those who join the social media
04:24challenge.
