40:33but for those of you who don't know it
40:35here's the short version
40:38my parents were both junior hockey coaches
40:42and they were hit by a drunk driver
40:45when i was 12 years old
40:47mercifully for them
40:48they died instantly
40:51mercifully for me
40:53the saint thomas scholarships existed
40:57i didn't have anybody else
40:59to help me
41:01i had a lot of memories
41:03a love of hockey
41:04and
41:05a huge hole in my heart
41:08saint thomas filled it with hope
41:11the hope
41:12of a new family
41:14things
41:14things weren't always easy
41:16you know
41:16they never are
41:17for anybody
41:18but
41:19in hockey
41:20i found what i was missing
41:23first at my high school
41:24then later at college
41:26and now here
41:26with the admirals
41:28and i never looked back
41:30because i
41:31i never had to
41:35the family i craved
41:36the family that i needed
41:37that
41:38that i still need today
41:41hockey gave it to me
41:44and saint thomas gave me hockey
41:48so from the bottom of my heart
41:49i want to thank you all

41:54because it's not just a scholarship
41:56it's
