Runners, walkers and joggers are set to take part in the annual Run For The 97 event in Liverpool, bringing communities together to remember the Hillsborough disaster and support local charities.

00:00Run for the 97 returns to Liverpool's Stanley Park on Saturday the 23rd of May,
00:06bringing together participants for a community-focused running event organised by BTR Liverpool.
00:12The event includes a 5km route and a 1-mile fun run,
00:16designed to be accessible for walkers, joggers and runners of all abilities.
00:21It takes participants through Stanley Park and the surrounding area,
00:25including Walton Lane Priory Road and the Arcles Lane,
00:28before returning to the park and passing the Eternal Flame Memorial at Anfield.
00:33The run was first staged in 2015 to honour the 97 football fans who died at Hillsborough in 1989
00:40and to support families and survivors in their ongoing campaign for justice.
00:45It's become an annual fixture in the city's calendar,
00:48with fundraising supporting local charities and community organisations across the region.
00:53Since it was first staged, the event has helped to raise over ÂŁ45,000 for good causes.
01:00Organisers say thousands are expected to take part in the race.
