After performing his Friday prayers at the Nurussaadah Mosque in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur on April 10, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the government will do its best to keep the subsidised RON95 petrol price for Malaysians at RM1.99 despite the growing global energy crisis due to the US-Israel war with Iran.

Anwar also reaffirmed Malaysia’s independent foreign policy stance, saying that while the nation prioritises maintaining strong ties with its neighbours, it remains firm in its refusal to overlook the root causes of current regional instability.
