03:39to some of the talents that I've seen out there.
03:41But it's nice to see that he's having that opportunity.
03:44Now, he has been asked whether or not he's interested in doing a run-in
03:48or something like that at WrestleMania,
03:49which it sounds like he is not in the plans to do.
03:53But we will be seeing him be inducted into the Hall of Fame,
03:56which will be wonderful.
03:58It's going to be great to see that cap,
04:00that icing on the cake for his incredible career.
04:03He's contributed so much to the business,
04:05and it's going to be great to see him get a proper send-off
04:08with the Hall of Fame.
04:10It's great to know that he's going to have an ongoing role
04:13in the world of professional wrestling,
04:15even after his in-ring time is over.
04:18In other news, current AEW champion,
04:21the current TNT heavyweight champion, is injured.
04:25Now, this is a sad one because Kyle Fletcher,
04:28who really many times in the last two years
04:31has looked like he is ready to be the breakout star for AEW,
04:34could be the guy to carry the brand for the next 10 years.
04:37He has now suffered a meniscus injury,
04:40and he is going to be out for an extended period of time.
04:43He currently has held that TNT championship for over 54 days.
04:47He has defended the championship against people like Mike Bailey,
04:50Mark Briscoe, Robbie Eagles.
04:52He's had championship defenses.
04:54He looks great in every match he's in.
04:56You really got to give it to this guy.
04:58This is about as close to a homegrown talent as AEW has ever had.
05:02Kyle Fletcher really is potentially the future of the pro wrestling business,
05:05and we wish him a speedy recovery because his absence from television is going to be huge.
05:09We do not know yet what is going to happen with the TNT championship.
05:13I suspect, according to Fightful Select,
05:16they are the ones who reported on the meniscus injury,
05:18that there may be a conversation,
05:21potentially on Dynamite Wednesday evening,
05:24about what they're going to do with the TNT championship.
05:27Perhaps they do some kind of interim champion.
05:30Maybe they strip it all together and have somebody else be the champion in the short term.
05:33But it sounds like this is going to be a longer-term injury recovery.
05:37And this is on the heels of the fact that private parties,
05:39Marquan has been injured as well.
05:42He's going to miss a significant amount of time due to some kind of tear as well.
05:47So unfortunate that, you know, for him especially,
05:50he and Isaiah Cassidy just got back to AEW programming earlier this year
05:53after a very lengthy absence and now back on the injury shelf.
05:56They just can't seem to cut a break.
05:58But AEW in general, far too many talents on the injury list,
06:01and we really would like to see them get back to it
06:04and really get their feet under themselves and do some substantial things.
06:08On the TNA front, Mike Santana, the current TNA World Heavyweight Champion,
06:13the word is out that his contract is set to expire this summer.
06:18PW Insider Elite reports that his contract is set to expire.
06:21He'll be a free agent.
06:22They don't know the exact date that he is going to be available,
06:26but a lot of people expect WWE to sign him or make that attempt.
06:32He has been there since August 2019.
06:37I apologize.
06:38He was in AEW from 2019 to 2023, leaving there, going to TNA in 2023,
06:43and he has just lit the world on fire since getting there,
06:46climbing the mountain, getting to the TNA World Championship.
06:49If you remember his first championship win, losing it the same night,
06:52really upset people, or the next night,
06:54and then now he's got his second run with the championship,
06:56a much more substantial run, and he has done so much for TNA.
06:59But this is a talent WWE certainly has their sights set on
07:03and somebody who I would easily see getting a very lucrative contract to go to WWE.
07:08He would boost the TNA, or I apologize, the NXT roster.
07:11He would really bring some legitimacy to it
07:14because he is an international superstar who's done so much in the business previously.
07:17So I expect WWE to make a strong push, but hopefully TNA,
07:23who is really benefiting from his presence there,
07:25finds a way to secure him for a longer-term deal
07:27because I truly believe that in WWE, though he is incredibly talented
07:32and one of my favorite performers currently,
07:34I don't know where he fits right now because they do have such a stacked roster,
07:38whereas in TNA, he will always be in a featured position.
07:41I don't see him going back to AEW because there was some bad blood there
07:44when he left in the past.
07:45So I really think WWE and TNA are his primary options.
07:50I don't really see him going to New Japan or anything like that either.
07:52So we'll have to wait and see how that plays out.
07:54Another superstar, CMLL superstar, La Catalina, is no longer with the company.
08:00They announced her departure.
08:01They wished her good luck on her future endeavors on their X account.
08:04And she has been a very busy lady working for Ring of Honor, CMLL.
08:11She is previously, she was in WWE for a very short period of time in the NXT brand as Katrina
08:17Cortez.
08:18She was released in 2021 from WWE, and she basically put out there that it had something to do with
08:23her visa expiring,
08:24and she was really frustrated.
08:25She came to the United States, didn't speak the language, had to sell everything she owned at the time.
08:30And then now the theory is that she may go to AAA, and now that WWE has purchased AAA, perhaps
08:37she can establish herself there
08:39and then see a pathway forward potentially to a WWE career in the future shortly afterwards.
08:45So definitely another one to keep an eye on.
08:47WWE always in the mode of acquiring premium talent, and she is a very talented performer.
08:52So definitely somebody to keep an eye on.
08:55And lastly tonight, Ric Flair accusing WWE of trying to kill his legacy and giving thanks to Tony Khan.
09:03According to X, Ric Flair puts out a tweet.
09:08I don't know what he called it.
09:09Now that it's not Twitter, is it still a tweet even though it's on X?
09:12That being said, making reference to the fact that he is no longer allowed to be affiliated with the organization
09:21Roots of Fight,
09:22which is a media and apparel brand that highlights the stories of iconic athletes.
09:28He put up a quote, and I'll read his quote too.
09:30It says, I woke up this morning to find out I am no longer allowed to be with Roots of
09:34Fight per WWE.
09:35Flair wrote, it says, before highlighting his many accomplishments, including his ESPN 30 for 30 documentary,
09:41as well as his titles.
09:43He referenced, quote, 21 world championships, but I always played by your rules and kept it at 16.
09:48Paid Vince McMahon back $800,000 when he said he would forgive it.
09:52I honored it.
09:54Nature Boy also put out there, fortunately he's still bringing in income thanks to his other deals and ventures.
10:00And he thanked WWE's competition, AEW.
10:04He has been with them since 2023, signing a deal having to do with his woo energy
10:09and accompanying Sting during his retirement angles and whatnot.
10:13And then there's another quote from him that says, what more of my legacy do you want to destroy, WWE?
10:17You all grew up loving me and I set the bar.
10:20Now you're trying to kill me and diminish my legacy.
10:22Thank you, but it ain't happening.
10:23Nice try, LFG.
10:25Ric Flair, I mean, look, he's a controversial figure in a lot of ways,
10:29but he's very frustrated that, you know, all this business dealing between companies
10:33shouldn't be affecting him at this point.
10:35He's retired.
10:36He should be able to, you know, I get it.
10:38He signed to WWE as a talent in some way, shape, or form.
10:41Let's be honest, though.
10:42He hasn't appeared only one time during the Mongo McMichael tribute in the last two years.
10:48He doesn't perform for them.
10:49Is he under contract?
10:50Yeah, WWE has people under Legends contracts.
10:52They still get to do other things other than just WWE functions, cons and things like that.
10:57Why are we messing with Ric Flair?
10:59One of the most legendary players in the game.
11:01Somebody who is the reason why a lot of people tune in every week to watch the shows.
11:04I think this is one of those times where people are just pushing buttons that don't need to be pushed.
11:08Just being honest, that's my opinion.
11:10That's all the time we have for this episode.
