00:00I just have one question, if that's okay.
00:02Yeah.
00:03Yeah?
00:03Yeah.
00:04Alright.
00:05So, what happens if, um, I don't know, if I do this?
00:13Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the most heinous acts committed
00:18by Vought's golden boy, Homelander.
00:20Expect some bloody spoilers.
00:22Yeah!
00:25Alright!
00:28Number 20.
00:30Snatching Ashley's wig.
00:31Managing a bunch of egotistical, villainous soups has gotta be stressful.
00:35It's definitely getting to Ashley, who is quite literally losing her hair over it.
00:40Ashley, take off that wig.
00:42What wig?
00:43Homelander uses this knowledge to completely humiliate her, making it clear who really wears
00:48the cape at Vought.
00:49She doesn't have a choice.
00:50It's either removing her wig or getting some laser eyes to the face.
00:59While Ashley's not exactly an innocent victim, seeing her completely degraded is still difficult
01:04to watch, especially since it's just to inflate Homelander's ego, and that is one thing he
01:10has plenty of.
01:11Number 19.
01:12Sticks and stones may break my bones.
01:14In true Homelander fashion, he wants his revenge served up on a plate, with a heaping side of
01:20public embarrassment.
01:21Just look at Marty.
01:22Well, you remember the nickname you had for me, right?
01:26Really?
01:28Squirt.
01:29Even though he was definitely asking for it by daring to give Homelander the nickname
01:33Squirt, the villain's reaction is pretty intense.
01:36He forces Marty to do some uncouth actions in front of his staff, and then lasers him in
01:41the end anyway.
01:46It's one thing to humiliate the poor guy, but killing him afterwards is just petty.
01:51He couldn't even give Marty one last moment of peace.
01:54Number 18.
01:55All-You-Can-Eat Seafood.
01:56By the third season, the Deep was willing to do anything to reclaim his spot in the Seven.
02:01And we do mean anything.
02:03Homelander naturally takes advantage of this by forcing the aquatic hero to do the unthinkable.
02:08Eat an octopus.
02:10Not just any octopus, but Timothy.
02:13I'm so sorry.
02:18Since the Deep can communicate with undersea creatures, this dining experience is next-level
02:23kinds of traumatic.
02:29However, Homelander doesn't seem to mind the view all that much.
02:32It's clear that, to him, forcing his colleagues into awful situations is just all-in-a-day's
02:38work.
02:38Number 17.
02:40Public Execution.
02:41If you thought Homelander only committed crimes behind locked doors or under the cover of night,
02:46you would be very, very wrong.
02:47This little guy here is my son, Ryan.
02:53When a protester makes the fatal mistake of throwing a can at Ryan, his dad steps in to
02:58dole out some extreme punishment.
03:00By that, we mean Homelander murders a man in broad daylight and then is promptly applauded
03:06by the crowd.
03:10And need we remind you, this is all in front of his young impressionable son, too.
03:15It set a chilling precedent.
03:17If Homelander can get away with murder in broad daylight, what else can he do?
03:28Number 16.
03:29Fake News and Bloody Fans.
03:31I want you to take these bats and beat these gentlemen to death.
03:38Not even Homelander fans are safe from his wrath.
03:41He sacrificed a group of his own supporters in order to frame Starlight for murder.
03:45And before you ask, it wasn't quick and it wasn't painless.
03:54In fact, Homelander didn't even bother doing it himself, instead sending the deep and black
03:59noir, too.
04:00Despite it all, the scariest part is these Homelander acolytes still got off a bit easy.
04:05After all, if this is how he treats his most devout followers, we can only imagine what
04:10would have happened if they were his enemies.
04:12Number 15.
04:13Souped Up Extremists.
04:15You get a superpower.
04:16And you get a superpower.
04:18With the government debating the continued role of Supes in national defense, Homelander
04:22took it upon himself to remind them of his worth.
04:25Me.
04:29Me.
04:31I made him.
04:32While it's natural that even all powerful heroes struggle with self-doubt, creating a
04:37legion of dangerous supervillains that only the Seven could possibly defeat isn't the
04:41healthiest form of therapy.
04:43We don't know what's scarier.
04:45That he gave an extremist organization superpowers just to further his own ambitions, or that he
04:50still managed to defeat them all without breaking a sweat.
04:59He certainly proved his value, even if he was just cleaning up his own mess.
05:03And now, we have villains all over the globe.
05:09Number 14.
05:11Running Down A-Train.
05:12You can't outrun Homelander forever, although A-Train certainly tried.
05:22He saved Huey and the others, avoided an innocent bystander, and completed his redemption arc.
05:28All just in time for Homelander to put him six feet deep.
05:37It's not the first or last time Homelander murders someone in cold blood, but the look
05:42on his face makes it clear this time is different.
05:44It's personal, or as personal as it gets for a narcissistic supervillain.
05:49While A-Train gets the last laugh, you can't help but feel like Homelander's hands-on method
05:53is beyond evil.
05:55Number 13.
05:56Into the Stormfront.
05:57Everyone enters a new relationship with some baggage, but the narcissistic face of Vought
06:02International brings a light carry-on compared to what Stormfront's packing.
06:06We are in a war for the culture.
06:09However, when Homelander learns that the Seven's newest member is far from a humanitarian,
06:13he doesn't just weather the storm, he embraces it.
06:22Her declaration in support of supremacy and prejudice puts up about as many red flags as
06:27possible.
06:28But if anything, their romance is even stronger after the fact.
06:32Homelander's never been a friendly neighborhood hero, but wanting a literal Nazi to help raise
06:37your son is a whole other level of wrong.
06:40Ryan, I'd really like you to get to know Stormfront.
06:43I would.
06:44She's someone I care about very much, and I think you will too.
06:48Although, in a weird way, they're both so despicable that they're kind of perfect for
06:53one another.
06:55Don't stop!
06:59Number 12.
07:00Like father, not quite like son.
07:03Homelander wasn't going to be winning any Dad of the Year awards even before he
07:07decided to take these flying lessons a step too far.
07:09Nothing like you.
07:11I can't fly.
07:12You can't.
07:13I promise you can't.
07:14Apparently, swooping in after eight years and pressuring your estranged son to manifest
07:18his powers only makes him intimately familiar with the ground.
07:23Homelander's nature over nurture approach makes it clear that he doesn't really care about
07:27Ryan at all beyond his powers, especially since he doesn't even offer his son a hand after
07:32figuratively and literally throwing him from the nest.
07:43Instead of taking any shred of responsibility, Homelander decides to point the finger at Becca's
07:49parenting.
07:50Clearly, not wanting your kid to be shoved off roofs is too soft nowadays.
07:55You are raising like a little girl.
07:58Let go of me.
08:00He's mine.
08:02Number 11.
08:02Out of line outing.
08:04They say all's fair in love and war, but this is a line even Homelander shouldn't have
08:09crossed.
08:09When Queen Maeve dares to have her own opinion, he decides to reiterate his dominance by outing
08:15her on live television.
08:16We have a gay hero.
08:24Not only is it a gross breach of personal privacy, but it hurts even more given how desperately
08:30Maeve tried to keep her girlfriend a secret from him.
08:32Hispanic girlfriend.
08:34And I for one am so proud of her.
08:37This twist of the knife made it clear Homelander was still in control and her love life only existed
08:43because he allowed it.
08:44With this kind of toxic behavior, it's no wonder these two didn't work out.
08:49Well, best of luck to you both.
08:51Number 10.
08:52Heil Homelander.
08:54As if the parallels weren't obvious enough before, Homelander opening an actual prison
08:58for dissenters is as obvious a metaphor as you can get.
09:02No, please, please, please.
09:03Don't use my prisons.
09:05My prisons.
09:06Homelander and Sage, they need places across the country to put their dissidents.
09:11We can admire someone researching world history, but did he have to take his politics from
09:16Mein Kampf?
09:17Yes, Homelander was always a ruthless madman.
09:19But up to season 4, he had at least tried to keep a cool exterior for the public.
09:24By opening these camps, though, he is making it clear that to oppose him is sentencing yourself
09:29to life behind bars.
09:30You know, in case standing up to Homelander wasn't scary enough as it is.
09:34He's talking about internment camps.
09:36Number 9.
09:37Making Huey see star light.
09:38Like any good workplace manager, Homelander acknowledges Starlight and Huey's romance
09:43by filling out the proper paperwork, setting boundaries, and demanding she kill her boyfriend?
09:48All right.
09:50I'd like you to do something for me, okay?
09:55Kill him.
09:57Yep, sounds like Homelander, all right.
09:59It's not enough for him to take out Huey.
10:01He wants Starlight to do it, for seemingly no other reason than to inflict as much suffering
10:06as possible.
10:07More incentive?
10:08Okay.
10:09You kill him, or I'll f***ing kill you both.
10:12This was the moment we knew Homelander wasn't just being cruel for the sake of it.
10:16There is a sick, twisted pleasure he gets from asserting dominance.
10:20It's honestly amazing Huey didn't leave here in a body bag.
10:23Number 8.
10:24A major blind spot.
10:25For a superhero team that's more into brand recognition than crime fighting,
10:30adding a caper with a disability to the roster seems like a sure PR win.
10:34It's, it's an honor, sir.
10:36Wait.
10:37Hold on.
10:38You can tell it's me?
10:40Even more, blind spot gets serious bonus points for his genuinely impressive combat capabilities.
10:46Not that it did him much good in Homelander's eyes.
10:49The Seven's leader plays it coy just long enough to make you think there's a heart buried really,
10:55really deep in that uniform, before deafening the recruit with a single strike.
10:59What happens if, um, I don't know, I do this?
11:05He isn't just needlessly cruel, he's genuinely offended at the thought of anyone like Blindspot joining the team.
11:12If this is any indicator of how the other tryouts went,
11:15it's no surprise that someone like Stormfront made the cut.
11:18Number 7.
11:19Super Sonic is super murdered.
11:21As it turns out, it takes more than a good smile and impressive powers to earn your keep in the
11:26Seven.
11:26Seriously, we have the best Taco Bowls right here in the building.
11:30Should make you feel right at home, pal.
11:32Bienvenidos, muchacha.
11:34I, uh, I don't really speak Spanish, sir.
11:36You see, Homelander values loyalty.
11:39So, when he learns that new recruit Super Sonic has pledged his allegiance to Starlight,
11:43Homelander decides to make an example out of him.
11:45A very messy, blood-spattered example.
11:48If I promise something, I deliver.
11:50Now that is the view of a lifetime.
11:57Alex.
11:58Cruel and unusual punishment isn't the half of it, though.
12:02No, Homelander makes sure Starlight sees the remains and knows it's all her fault.
12:06You've got to feel for her here.
12:08Grief is hard enough even when you don't have a sadistic hero rubbing salt in the wound.
12:12Number 6.
12:13Madeline's End.
12:14Strapped with explosives and face-to-face with a psycho soup and a bloodthirsty vigilante,
12:19it's safe to say this hero management VP has had better days.
12:23You mean everything to me.
12:25No.
12:27No, no.
12:28I mean everything to your job.
12:31Madeline was the closest thing Homelander ever had to a real friend.
12:35But that's not enough to save her when he realizes she's been keeping Becca's whereabouts a secret.
12:40Nothing is as heartless as permanently tearing a mother away from their crying child.
12:45And it's all the more telling that she doesn't lose her life to Butcher's explosions,
12:49but instead to Homelander's rage.
12:54It's set a chilling precedent that anyone who doesn't give him what he wants,
12:59even those he loves, are not safe when he has a temper tantrum.
13:03Wow.
13:07What was that plan again?
13:09Number 5.
13:10The Opposite of a Helpline.
13:12There are no words to fully describe Chelsea's fate.
13:15She's struggling with her own mental health.
13:18And instead of supporting her,
13:19Homelander arrives and makes it all about him.
13:31She wouldn't...
13:32It's my...
13:34It's my birthday.
13:35Then when Chelsea decides she doesn't want to jump,
13:38Homelander gives her an ultimatum.
13:39Either she falls of her own will,
13:41or she's blown off by his laser eyes.
13:55We've seen Homelander commit a million heinous acts in the series,
13:58but his complete disregard for human life here is simply staggering.
14:02Chelsea needed a hero.
14:03A real one.
14:05Instead, she got a monster.
14:07She may have walked up to that roof,
14:09but her blood is on Homelander's hands.
14:11Number 4.
14:12A Mayor's Fall from Grace.
14:14As early as the very first episode of the series,
14:18it became incredibly clear that despite the visual similarities,
14:22Homelander isn't quite as virtuous as the first son of Krypton.
14:25When the mayor of Baltimore justly considers exposing the truth about Compound V,
14:30this supposed hero shows his true colors by doing a quick drop-in to voice his concerns.
14:36What's he doing out here?
14:38Aren't you guys friends?
14:40With a fast yet brutal display of his staggering strength,
14:44Homelander proved that despite what the cameras say,
14:47he didn't just target supervillains.
14:49Man or child, hero or criminal,
14:51anyone who stood in his way would be given a first-class seat to his laser eyes.
14:56It belongs to you and me.
14:58So let's take a ride and see what's mine.
15:03Number 3.
15:04A Rocky Relationship.
15:05This reprehensible caped celebrity didn't just ruin Becca's life once.
15:10He did it twice.
15:11New senior director, digital marketing.
15:15Yeah, how did you know?
15:16I have my sources.
15:18After his despicable acts leave her pregnant with his super-powered child,
15:21she's forced to fake her own demise to hide the newborn from him.
15:25But, despite abandoning everything she knew and loved,
15:28he finds her and is still hell-bent on taking Ryan under his cape.
15:33Hey, Ryan!
15:33Ryan!
15:35Hey, Ryan!
15:36No!
15:37Ryan!
15:37No!
15:38Parenting is tough enough as it is,
15:40let alone when the father of your child is a petty psychopath
15:42that can beam anyone who tells him no.
15:45It wasn't enough for him to completely uproot her life.
15:48Now, he's aiming for her legacy by turning Ryan into the thing she hates most, him.
15:54I do not want my son to have to go through what I went through.
15:58Number 2.
15:59The Waiting Game.
16:00When Homelander walks into Huey's cell,
16:03we all brace ourselves for the worst.
16:05They were innocent.
16:06Oh.
16:09Well, I'd hardly call them innocent.
16:11They lied to me.
16:12Never one to make things quick and easy, though.
16:14The soup doesn't actually turn on the laser eyes here.
16:17Instead, he admits to keeping Huey alive just to lure out Butcher and Starlight.
16:22Kill me.
16:22Not until we flush out Butcher and Starlight.
16:26Apparently.
16:26It's not enough to run the world and keep Huey in a labor camp.
16:30He also has to break the man's spirits by killing all his friends first.
16:34The devastation on Huey's face says it all,
16:37and proves that the only thing worse than dying at Homelander's hand is dying last.
16:42Why would Starlight and Butcher piece away their lives?
16:47To try and rescue you.
16:55Before we continue, check out this single from Sound Mojo's Adia, Songs from Iran,
17:01reimagining Persian melodies as modern rock, metal, and pop songs.
17:05Check out the full track and album below.
17:21Number 1.
17:23Flight 37
17:24A hijacked plane should be an afternoon warm-up for these heroes.
17:28Or it would be if Homelander's goal was saving lives.
17:32Can you fly a plane?
17:35Wouldn't matter if I did.
17:39When his I-beams send the aircraft into a freefall,
17:42the Seven's supposedly heroic leader decides to forsake all the innocent civilians aboard
17:47to further his own political agenda.
17:50We're done here.
17:51It's downright horrifying to see him refuse to save even a child,
17:54and then turn to the cameras and pretend the tragedy was because of governmental regulation on superheroes.
18:00Homelander unforgivably weaponizes the deaths he caused,
18:03and makes it clear that the commandeered plane would have been better off
18:07had the heroes never showed up in the first place.
18:10If they let us into the military,
18:13then this will never happen again.
18:16That is my solemn promise to you.
18:17Which of Homelander's malicious acts left your jaw on the floor?
18:20Let us know in the comments.
