00:01Hello my name is Fenella. I was born deaf and recently my father passed away and this
00:10mechanical bird in the case was known to me, given to me, because I had always wondered why
00:18it didn't sound the way I had expected it to and it was because I couldn't hear it in the
00:25first place. So a friend of mine sort of said oh well why didn't you contact the TV repair shop,
00:32see if they can restore this for them. So I wrote to them and they got back to me and
00:39one time oh gosh
00:40it was an amazing experience because I took it up it was really shabby, forlorn, I thought no hope
00:49but honestly Dave Burnville and the repair shop team really did a fantastic job at restoring it.
00:58It is so complicated inside I don't think I would have ever been able to restore it but anyway when
01:05they called me back I was thinking oh not sure what it's going to be like.
01:14I was absolutely astounded that it was so gold, it was so colourful and to be able to hear the
01:23birds tweet
01:25after pretending that I could hear it as a four-year-old child and I'm going to play it.
01:43Isn't it amazing I mean it's the most beautiful sound and especially you know if you've been born
01:52to think about through death I didn't wonder what that verse sounded like. I'm so grateful to the repair shop
02:00and the team and obviously with my cochlear implant I feel I've been given a new life.
