Eddie does the classic thing. He breaks into a luxury SUV like it’s just another job. Then the vehicle turns into a psychological horror machine, and suddenly there’s nowhere to go. Like, not metaphorically. Literally: you’re stuck, and the rules are already written.

William is the one behind it, and he’s not interested in redemption arcs. He’s into his own warped brand of “justice,” where survival comes with a timer and every attempt to think your way out gets punished faster. It’s basically a high-speed stare-down between a thief and a control freak.

Locked doesn’t waste time being clever. It’s claustrophobic, paranoid, and relentlessly uncomfortable. If you like your thrillers with the air slowly removed from the room, this one scratches that itch.

Eddie ist nur ein Einbrecher, also jemand, der Probleme lieber kurz anknipst und dann wieder rausläuft. Dumm nur, dass er sich beim Eindringen in einen luxuriösen SUV in eine Falle setzt, die schon länger auf ihn wartet. William. Das ist kein Typ, der diskutiert. Der baut ein kleines System aus psychologischem Druck, ohne Fluchtwege und mit einem Gespür dafür, wie man jemandem langsam die Luft abdreht.

Es wird keine langatmige Rätselstunde. Locked ist eher: zu, verschlossen, lauf. Die “Gerechtigkeit” hier hat Gas gegeben, und Eddie muss im Sekundentakt entscheiden, ob er jetzt Cleverness zeigt oder einfach nur noch überleben will. Unterm Strich: härter als nötig, aber genau deshalb oft ziemlich unterhaltsam.
