Der DJ ist nicht mehr ganz oben. Nicht mal annähernd. Also bekommt er Besuch von der Polizei und ein Angebot, das so klingt, als wäre es extra für schlechte Entscheidungen erfunden: Hilf dabei, eine kriminelle Bande zu zerschlagen, und die Strippen ziehen dabei auch noch in Richtung seines jungen Rivalen. Plötzlich ist der Plan nicht nur „neuer Sound“, sondern „Beweise sammeln zwischen Bass und Bauchkribbeln“. Banger ist dieses spezielle Genre, in dem Musik scheinbar nebenbei als Waffe benutzt wird und jeder Schritt nach dem nächsten Drehbuch-Plotpoint aussieht. Ob das klug ist? Wohl kaum. Ob es Spaß macht? Genau.
