00:01One night, my grandma was like, I'd like to exercise.
00:04Like, you want to exercise with me?
00:05Like, sure.
00:07Let's go outside and walk.
00:09I remember I just see, like, headlights,
00:11and they're flickering on, off, flickering on, off,
00:15and they're right there at the corner of where we live.
00:17And I look, oh, it's black and white.
00:18I see the police on the side.
00:20It started making me mad, and my grandma was like,
00:22don't go up to the car, you know,
00:24because remember they told you that you'll get in trouble,
00:26so just try to stay out the way.
00:28But I get mad, and I immediately start walking toward the cop car.
00:35He immediately just turns on his car unit.
00:38He takes off like a bat out of hell.
00:41He just leaves.
00:45The next day, my attorney sent in a paper
00:48saying that they weren't allowed to be around my area
00:5310 to 100 feet, so then if that would happen again,
00:57there was going to be a lawsuit against the actual department.
01:03Anjali Gomez says her fight and struggle with law enforcement isn't over yet.
01:08Since May 24th, Gomez claims she's been faced with scrutiny from law enforcement at her own home.
01:13The other night, we were exercising, and we had a cop parked at the corner flickering us with his headlight.
01:19Due to incidents like this, Gomez said she is separated from her boys.
01:23Just so my sons don't feel like they have to watch cops passing by, stopping, parking.
01:28I left work and did their job for my two sons, so they failed me.
01:34They failed me and my sons and all the rest who died and the kids who were in the building
01:39and men are traumatized by it now.
01:40An enraging update here, remember the hero mom that saved her kids from the Uvalde shooting?
01:45Well, the cops in Uvalde are harassing her and her family.
01:48An officer with the Uvalde police department told her that if she told the world how they failed to act
01:53in a timely manner,
01:54they would charge her with obstruction of justice and her probation would get violated and she would go to prison.
