Joy is a talented NYC designer, but somehow she’s always stuck in someone else’s shadow, especially at work. Love has been on strike for years too, so she leans on her best friends Ashley for real talk. Then Colton, her attractive crush, invites her to spend the holidays in snowy Colorado. Great. The movie basically hands her a romance postcard and immediately snatches it away. During a winter storm on an icy road, Joy loses control and ends up in an accident. When she wakes up, she’s not back in the city or in a comforting emergency room. She’s at Ridge’s house, out in the middle of nowhere. At first, she’s sure there has to be a catch. Suspicion is her love language. But once the vibe warms up, the “what’s going on here?” turns into something a lot more dangerous for her heart. It’s Tyler Perry-style feel-good drama with seasonal panic and unexpected chemistry.
