Afternoon thunderstorms are expected to cause moderate travel delays for airports across Florida on April 8. For the Northeast, travel is expected to be normal; just be sure to dress for cool weather.

00:00Travel outlook right now on the big board. We don't have any delays right now. You can see a
00:05little bit of rain, even a little bit of snow across the upper Midwest. Florida is going to
00:09be the problem child, so to speak, over the next 24 hours. You can already see some showers off
00:16the east coast of Florida. And as the sun's up now, those showers are going to grow to some
00:20thunderstorms here. So I have no doubt that there's going to be delays. Orlando, Tampa,
00:25in Miami, there could be some ground stops if the thunderstorms are in the vicinity of the
00:30airport, which is, I think, a possibility. So I went moderate delays in Miami and Orlando,
00:36but I could see ground stops this afternoon. Now you get north of there. I think we're okay in
00:41Nashville, Charlotte, and Atlanta. It's just dry with more sunshine and clouds. All right,
00:46northeast this morning. Let's take you into the north central United States first.
00:50We are going to have some showers today, but I think they're so light. I'm not anticipating
00:56any delays here. So you can see showers posted in Minneapolis. I could even see a shower in
01:01Chicago, but you should be fine there. Northeast, it's cold this morning, right? But it's sunny.
01:08And here's the thing, virtually no wind today. That's good news. You're flying out. I think
