00:00And what do you think about Europe? Europe has several problems if we look
00:07on the growth numbers of the European Union, on the competitiveness, on the
00:10energy prices. How do you see Europe and what could be the future for Europe under
00:16these circumstances? Yes, you know, it's very sad because there's there's so much
00:23I talked about this in my speech last night a little bit. There's so much
00:26discussion in the European press. You know, do do Vance and Trump and Rubio do
00:31they hate Europe? Do they love Europe? The answer is we absolutely love Europe.
00:36It's an important trading partner. But most importantly, again, like I said, it's
00:40an important, you know, cultural cousin of the United States of America. The ideas
00:46that founded the United States of America were first birthed on the European
00:50continent. We're very mindful of that fact. Of course, we love the people, the
00:53culture, the everything about about this place. But we do have some
00:57disagreements with the political leadership in particular. Why have the
01:01Europeans, while saying, by the way, that Russia is the biggest national
01:06security threat, why have the Europeans made themselves completely dependent on
01:11unreliable sources of energy? Like if you think that Russia, an energy superpower, is
01:16the biggest threat, you should do everything in your power to make yourselves
01:20economically and energy dominant, like President Trump has done in the United
01:24States. Our European friends have done the exact opposite. If you look at the
01:28cost of electricity in the United Kingdom, which is way under invested in their
01:33energy resources, you know, UK families are paying four times, five times, six
01:39times what United States citizens are paying for electricity. Now, obviously, I care
01:43most about America's citizens. That's who I'm elected to represent. But isn't it a
01:48scandal that middle class Brits, that people who are working hard and playing
01:52by the rules, can't afford to heat their home, can't afford to transport themselves
01:56to work because their leadership has made energy so expensive? Isn't it a scandal that
02:02when normal people on the European continent try to talk about what's going on in
02:08their governments, they try to criticize their governments, they try to exercise their
02:11rights of free speech, those governments then go to American social media
02:15companies and say, you must censor the citizens of your own country because we
02:19don't want to hear them. We don't want to hear their free expression. We don't want
02:23to hear their free speech. There's just so much wrong with the political
02:27leadership. And I would particularly say the bureaucratic leadership in Brussels,
02:31right? People who aren't elected, who are not responsive to the democratic will, and I
02:36think have made the European continent less secure, less free and less prosperous. The
02:41reason why we make criticism of European political capitals is because we want
02:46Europe to thrive and we think they're making a lot of mistakes. You know, I've
02:50had a lot of conversations with European friends, with European heads of state and
02:54government, and it's always funny. They always say, well, you know, the United States
02:57just defies economic logic. You guys just have way higher economic growth. You have
03:02way lower energy costs. They say this as if it was something that happened through
03:08accident rather than through the policy choices of the president of the United
03:13States. It is not magical that the United States has lower energy costs in the
03:18United Kingdom. It's because we've made smart decisions and their leadership is
03:22not. They could change course and we hope that they will.
