00:12for this and replace them with proud American veterans. And it's about time. I want to thank
00:23Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy, who's doing a fantastic job. Secretary of Veterans
00:29Affairs, Doug Collins, likewise, really doing a good job. Ninety-two percent approval. That's not
00:34bad, Doug. You'll get it up a little bit. Acting Secretary of Labor, Keith Sonderling, and along
00:40with President of Werner Enterprises, Nathan Meisker. Thank you very much, Nathan. And
00:48representatives from the American Trucking Institute. And they're all behind this a hundred percent. I'm
00:57behind it a hundred percent. We've got to stop it. It's every day you see another story. We're not
01:04going to let that happen. That won't happen with our great vets. But above all, thank you to the
01:09amazing veterans with us. I mean, they've just been with us from the day they were born, I suspect.
01:17They're great patriots and we love them. And we want to thank UPS, FedEx, and Werner for the job

01:56For many years, American highways and roadways have been terrorized by unqualified illegal aliens dangerously driving big rigs.
02:04Rigs like that. You got to know something to drive. Wow. That sucker is a big one. That's big stuff.
02:12But you have to have a knowledge. You have to have a talent for it. And these people don't have
02:18that.
02:19They are driving big rigs, semi trucks and tractor trailers all because radical left maniacs at the state level
02:26have issued them commercial driver's licenses, even though they're not entitled to have them.
02:32They don't speak the language for the most part. Many of these illegal aliens don't even come close.
02:39They don't want to learn the language. They don't care about the language and they don't speak it.
02:43They don't speak English. They cannot read basic road signs. In many cases, they've engaged in reckless driving that has
02:50caused many, many preventable deaths.
02:54Many. Too many to even talk about. Last August, three innocent people were killed in Florida when an illegal alien
03:01from India made an unlawful U-turn,
03:04and blocking all the lanes of the highway and causing a catastrophic crash. It was a disaster.
03:11Just a few weeks ago, a Pennsylvania state trooper was killed by an illegal alien from Haiti driving a semi
03:18truck.
03:18He was let in by Joe Biden and the open border policy of the Biden administration.
03:23By the way, today we have the safest border in the history of our country.
03:32And I don't even say this usually, but for the last 14 months, because it's almost unbelievable to say, but
03:39the media will correct me if I give anything that's even slightly off.
03:42As of 14 months, in the last 14 months, zero illegal aliens were able to come through our southern border.
03:51Zero.
03:54The last year alone, illegal aliens with commercial driver's licenses caused at least 30 deaths and many, many very seriously
04:03injured.
04:04As president, I made it our official policy to enforce English language requirements for truck drivers and support American truckers
04:13on American roadways.
04:15We've already removed more than 24,000 non-English speakers from behind the wheel.
04:21We've also forced states to cancel more than 28,000 commercial driver's licenses unlawfully issued to illegal aliens.
04:31They were they were given illegally as we get illegal aliens off the roads.
04:36Today, we're also taking action to replace these unqualified migrant truck drivers with highly qualified American veterans.
04:51Under our brand new Freedom Hall, as we call it, Freedom Hallers Initiative,
04:56any American who has driven a heavy truck for our military will automatically be eligible for a commercial driver's license.
05:04And it's good paying jobs to any veteran with a heavy vehicle experience from the military will now be eligible
05:13to skip redundant road tests to obtain a commercial driver's licenses.
05:17We're going to make it as easy as possible for the veterans within two years following their active duty service.
05:24And for the veterans where no truck, where you have a situation where you have not truck drivers in the
05:32military, where you don't have truck drivers,
05:34they're going to be given a very quick pass.
05:37We're going to teach them.
05:38They're going to learn if they didn't drive a truck in the military, but we're in.
05:41They're going to learn and they're going to learn very quickly and they'll be licensed in a matter of a
05:47few weeks.
05:48I think it is.
05:48They're going to take about three or four weeks of training.
05:52Thirty-four states have joined this initiative, including Indiana, Wyoming, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, and Maryland are joining us just
06:01today.
06:02Many of the representatives and leaders from the states are with us.
06:06It's actually a very big deal.
06:07This is a big deal.
06:09We believe that all 50 states in Washington, D.C.
06:12should join us in supporting these great veterans.
06:16And frankly, some of the states didn't know about it.
06:19They heard about it today.
06:20And they're all, I think they're all going to be signing up.
06:23Data shows that truck drivers who are veterans account for 42 percent fewer accidents.
06:29Think of that, 42 percent.
06:31And that number, they say, is a very minimal number,
06:35even as they drive the double, double the number of miles of non-veteran drivers.
06:41So, to end this, very simply, the radical left wants more jobs for illegal aliens and more migrants and 18
06:50-wheelers.
06:51And Trump administration wants safer roads and more jobs for the American veteran.
06:57Now, I'd like to ask a man who's done a fantastic job on this subject and many others,
07:03Secretary Duffin, to say a few words, followed by Secretary Collins Nathan
07:07and a great veteran truck driver, Ricky Washington.
