Metropolitan Police are investigating a former Meta employee suspected of accessing thousands of private Facebook images. Meta says it has fired the individual, notified users and upgraded security.

00:20A man in his 30s was arrested last November on suspicion of unauthorized access to computer

00:26He has since been released on bail and must report back to police in May.
00:32Meta stated that it discovered the breach over a year ago, fired the suspected employee
00:37and informed affected users.
00:40Meta says it has strengthened security measures.
00:43Investigations continue.
