35:23I'm a little bit nervous today because obviously didn't sell any of my deal of the day pieces
35:27so a little bit upset and scared to what's going to happen in the boardroom today
35:33I brought Connor back to the boardroom last week he's definitely going to bring me back if we lose
35:38it's game on I'm ready for a war I feel like I'm walking into a lion's den with nothing to
35:43defend
35:43myself with it is a live TV selling challenge I'm not sure if I sold anything so that leaves me
35:48in a
35:48pretty vulnerable position you can go through to the boardroom now
36:11so TV shopping um team alpha I believe that Karishma you wanted to be the project manager
36:21is that right yes Lord Sugar but then again Pasha you haven't been a project manager have you you
36:27kind of like ducked it um I was waiting for the right task I haven't got experience live selling
36:32however I do have a big following on TikTok and I do have a social media present so you know
36:39I just
36:39felt like my skills and abilities would be best for this this sort of task so Pasha's passion versus
36:47Karishma's charisma yeah and I think we worked really well together okay so product selection
36:54the structure that I went in with is I want a high cost item and a low cost item if
36:59we can sell just
37:00a few of the high cost items potentially that could be the reason that we win the task so what
37:05you ended
37:05up with was the headphones the water flosser um and table tennis yeah so where was your luck um
37:13Karishma while this all this was going on so Lawrence and I spoke of the jewelry expert we were
37:18also joined with Rothner and Dan um we kind of were competing to get the product we wanted
37:23um we expressed our interest in the mid-range item you mean the ring the ring the tanzanite ring
37:29I was watching you uh selling that stuff apparently there was 11 in stock or something like that
37:36is that right yeah yeah um there still is 11 in stock there is at the moment yeah because I'm
37:43afraid
37:44you didn't succeed and then one of the reasons I think you didn't succeed was because in my opinion
37:49you missed out the point of who you were selling to it should be love it should be about you
37:56know a gift
37:57for somebody instead you start giving them a geographic um description of where it comes from who gives a
38:05shit about that not exactly lord of the rings there my friend not quite no I mean in fairness
38:12Karishma knew a lot about the rings and I think there was a bit of scarcity because um it only
38:17comes
38:18from a very small area hmm anyway I think the first people on your team was you and you with
38:26the
38:26headphones right correct okay and in the gallery was them two correct yeah and silence I heard
38:33you sat there doing nothing for a while Karishma you were close to the mic do you do you agree
38:39with
38:39that um so we were instructed was you getting much feedback initially um initially to be honest my
38:47earpiece was cutting out every it wasn't cutting out they weren't talking okay well I mean my noise
38:54cancelling headphones it sounded like you must have had noise cancelling microphones in there
38:59anyway then we come on to the flosser yeah I was very confident selling it just because I have
39:05it at home and I did want to have food there as well which unfortunately I saw that you had
39:10some
39:11spinach you stick some in your mouth right and then you get the machine blow on it and then you
39:18take it
39:18out your mouth with your fingers again yeah it was very very very good yeah the water power coming
39:24out it was powerful yeah I could use it to clean my car yeah yeah and then there's the ping

39:29I like that ping pong thing I was thinking of setting it up in here for me and uh
39:37you sold 28 of those actually yeah anyway there we are so team eclipse
39:44now Connor you ended up with what I will call the core machine uh yoga mat correct boring uh and
39:54the
39:54shoe dryer unusual item right um so you start off um Connor with the um the core circus it looked
40:03like you're having an argument with an ironing board actually yeah yeah I definitely um look I came
40:09in with high energy and passion and I was hoping to shift that by using my energy then you then
40:13you
40:13call upon Dan he comes in done a few bits and pieces and then went off we were we were
40:21we were
40:21doing a couple to work out at one stage I was doing Pilates and Dan was doing some core exercises
40:25so
40:25yeah I do I do think it was sellable I just probably didn't do myself justice hmm moving on from
40:32there
40:32then so you had the um bracelet you look like you're putting on handcuffs at one stage a lot you
40:40lost the
40:40key and you're fumbling around Dan did very well also in terms of his engaging with the customers
40:47and saying their names actually saying which was the key yeah when you that was it was quite clever
40:51that when we said thank you for the order and all that oh they got some orders did they oh
40:55yeah
40:55they got some orders for it um I was extremely proud of Dan for putting himself out of his comfort
41:00zone almost and really applying himself he exceeded probably all of our expectations
41:04well there you go compliments there Dan that's very kind compliments all right um moving on we've
41:11got uh Kieran on the uh yoga mat yoga mat and that I mean I've got to tell you that
41:17was painful my
41:19friend painful did you say I'll do that one I said I would do that one um but I also
41:26offered to
41:27it was like a thick doormat to me it's yeah as yoga mats go it wasn't bad yeah can I
41:36just add Lord
41:36Sugar I expected that the boys would probably pick an item that they were personally really confident
41:40selling Kieran's great at selling so I was pretty shocked that he was just going to be selling the
41:44mats but then he was confident he could sell them in large quantity okay well moving on we went to
41:51the
41:51the most unusual item the shoe dryer uh which Levi uh took the role that's right Lord Sugar yeah that's
41:59correct I mean it's an unusual item in fact I bought one for my wife for Christmas so she's going
42:05to be
42:05delighted with it I'm sure when I when she opens it up so she's going to throw that straight back
42:12at you
42:13I mean you're putting shoes on the wrong way round pouring water in trainers um to be fair Lord Sugar
42:20and then um Butch Cassidy here comes running in at the end uh to help you out you know it
42:27were quite
42:28hard to get me bearings to be fair Lord Sugar it were um in gallery sounded like somebody ate the
42:33microphone and uh people just shouting and then yeah it would it would hard to concentrate try and get
42:40a point across while it's getting loading the ear hmm right okay well um it's that time now let's have

42:49look and see how we did shall we so um thing you should know about TV selling is that you
43:00may have
43:01expectations of what you think you sold but as you know people change their minds right so I've now got
43:09the real confirmed figures from the shopping channel so Tim can you tell me the final results of your
43:17team mm-hmm well you mentioned a number of sales have been made but unfortunately not all of those
43:22sales went through including the one high priced item of the core crusher that was almost sold but
43:29somebody pulled out but they still managed to sell 18 products giving them a total sales on the day of
43:37773 pounds and 82 cents well done everyone right okay good Karen same question how did your team get
43:45on well unfortunately not all of their sales went through either including one of the high priced
43:52headphones and their highest priced item Alan the ring you know they didn't sell any of those at all
43:59um but they did still manage to sell 40 items across the hour totaling 893 pounds and 60 pence
44:10right well done team alpha your first time as a project manager and you pulled it through
44:19yeah okay make your way back to the house I'll see you on the next task okay
44:39okay well um so go away have a chat amongst yourselves come back and we'll decide who's leaving
44:47okay okay off you go big item made the difference didn't it well no I mean they sold 40 items
44:57and they
44:58sold 18 hmm oh my god you smashed it I cannot tell you how relieved I am obviously I've had
45:09my two wins as
45:10sub-team but that's not enough I wanted to step forward and deliver one more task and then we're in
45:15the final five we just need to get there now one of the things so that I did say in
45:22strategy is like
45:23bringing high energy was great but I think ultimately what you two failed to do was to
45:27harness it in the correct way we sold me oh yeah and I accept I didn't you guys only saw
45:32two units
45:32each I had a roll up bit of phone mate Connor sold nothing Kieran didn't sell a lot and he's
45:36supposed
45:37to be an amazing salesperson and quite frankly I don't really know what Levi is good at other than being
45:40a great guy the one person I was disappointed in Kieran is you I have to say I've worked with
45:44you and I
45:45thought you're great but when you're presenting I honestly thought you you'd do a bit better just
45:48we felt the task for lack of instruction and no sales Kieran loves to deflect and he loves to say
45:53he can't do something at the last moment he said he'd take a high ticket item just as we were
45:56heading
45:56out the door as he sounded enthusiastic about the yoga mat I gave it to him then he said maybe
46:01not
46:01I can't do yoga the reality is is that we didn't make enough sales it's down to selling I mean
46:05myself
46:05and Rothner sold the most and I know it wasn't loads but we sold high ticketed items and sold
46:10multiple of them I would have thought with lower ticketed items we could have sold a few more
46:13the failure in this task lies with project manager Connor and Kieran the polar opposites
46:18they don't work well together in it and it showed in this task
46:33yes would you send the candidates in please
46:48well you lot lost by 120 pounds which
46:55it's not a lot of money now alpha sold 40 products and you sold 18 only so
47:04Connor the core machine that you demonstrated the last time the professional presenter did it
47:11they sold 55 yeah so so my plan with the core circuit
47:15yoga was to two target audience the older or maybe new to fitness and then the more experienced
47:21user of fitness like myself I demonstrated as someone who's maybe avid in fitness and wants
47:25to use it to enhance their workouts maybe after a cardio session I think it implied you had to be
47:29very fit to use it yeah um anybody I'm not surprised you were sweating because you hadn't sold any
47:34yeah definitely I did give it my all it did give my energy and I hold my hands up
47:38I'm disappointed as PM that I didn't sell one item I mean Dan walking in it looked like you called
47:43in a bloke
47:44from from IT you know now then um Rothner and Dan the bracelets um you only sold three they usually
47:56sell 21 in that slot I am disappointed that we only ended up selling three of them I did really
48:02believe
48:02in the product and I hoped it to come across if you'd have got the ring and sold three of
48:07them
48:07yeah like yourself three of the bracelets you would have won so we didn't go why didn't you get the
48:11ring we we thought maybe Connor might find the ring a bit too expensive he was quite clear about
48:16asking for a mid-range item but may he do when we know when I asked for numbers in the
48:20brainstorm he
48:21didn't give any numbers a mid-range my mid-range could be very different to your mid-range your role
48:25was to pick deal of the day what so what what she's trying to say is that it was left
48:29to our own
48:29devices to pick what we thought was the most sensible item that we could sell on tv but that's
48:34what that's why you replaced and you picked the cheapest yeah um now moving on the yoga mat this
48:41company has sold 390 in the last session you sold six and you say you are a um super salesman
48:52exactly I'm a salesman yeah absolutely um we didn't sell many did you so I did offer to swap the
48:58high-end item I was told no were you not extremely enthusiastic about the yoga mat
49:02I said I could take this I wasn't mate I'd done the setup so I've done a few press-ups
49:06exactly
49:06Levi was Levi come in to perform on the mat right at the end you should have sent him in
49:11earlier it
49:12were a bit painful to watch so I looked at galleries you were painful to watch my friend you were
49:17really
49:17painful to watch all the way around including the shoe dryer thing I mean what a bloody product that is
49:24and do you know what they usually sell 300 in a session 300 I've never heard of and you sold
49:30three
49:31I did try to explain about the shoe drying properties but when I had somebody like team shouting in my
49:36ears I had Kieran walking towards me were very distracted for me well one of the comments from
49:42a viewer was that this is a joke I'm flabbergasted I can't watch anymore I tuned out right and I
49:49have to
49:49say I was flabbergasted also I think it was diabolical I do believe that um on reflection it is um
50:00it's actually time I've won most at task lord sugar no you didn't win them you didn't win them you
50:06didn't you was on winning teams so so you know what um Levi um it is with uh regret yeah

51:13i can see why you made a decision to exit levi from the process yeah i mean on this particular
51:19task
51:20it was the worst tv selling i've ever seen in this whole process the worst painful anyway kieran i mean
51:28he's a chirpy chappy he chirped a lot but he didn't make the sales the important thing on this task
51:33was
51:34to convert the products to something that the audience wanted and unfortunately he made such a
51:38hash of that mat nobody bought anywhere near the numbers that you said you got from the channel
51:44themselves then the man obviously they sold three bracelets had they instead of chosen the ring and sold
51:51three rings they would have won i mean he was with rothner when they picked it maybe they didn't engage
51:56the buyers as well as they could have um connor well connor's a great talker he emphasized his ability
52:04in front of the camera but he wasn't that good behind the camera unfortunately a lot of this does
52:08rest on his shoulders could you stand the three of them in please
52:24so on this task connor you were the project manager you've been a project manager twice
52:31right and regretfully you lost twice why have you brought these two back in then
52:38um when i made my selection i reviewed the entire process that we've made it here
52:42um when it comes to kieran in fairness to kieran kieran has grabbed the bull by the horns and he's
52:47really applied himself but at times he's being called difficult to work with and disruptive
52:51so in terms of looking for your next apprentice i just don't know if he would be the correct
52:55candidate everyone works with people differently correct yeah and that's that's not my decision to make
53:00but that's just my perspective when it came to dan dan was slow to get into the process and maybe
53:05didn't
53:05apply himself every week to the extent that me personally has well i mean this was a selling
53:09task um myself i sold 300 pounds worth of stuff they sold 60 pounds between both and i think throughout
53:15the whole of this process i know it took me a little while to settle into it but this has
53:19been a big
53:19learning curve for myself i've developed a lot of skills i've learned how to work with people but i
53:23wouldn't necessarily usually work with and i think i've really grown in this process in terms of
53:26becoming a better business business person for yourself lord sugar hmm kieran super salesman sold six
53:33been on the losing side five times yes lord sugar i've put myself forward for a lot of things i
53:42haven't shied away and i've given everything my all some it's the team effort not just an individual
53:47effort so where i might have small wins the team may not always win hmm right well here we have
53:54a
53:54dilemma really i have to make a decision lord sugar if i may yes i've been project manager twice on
54:02the
54:02same task and you won once by a deep arguably a one a win yeah yeah if i stay in
54:10this process
54:11i would like to be the project manager on task 10 to prove to you what i can do if
54:15i lose we shake
54:16hands i walk out all right that's very interesting anybody else want to make that offer uh i don't feel
54:24the need to you can i can if i want to i felt that i over the last eight tasks
54:28i don't need another task
54:30to prove myself i have given myself one you lost you know you've lost five you've been in the losing
54:35team five times correct and every time within those tasks the project manager has usually always had a
54:39very specific role that they've wanted me to excel in and at numerous times within this process i have
54:44excelled i don't need a tenth task to beg you to to take me you don't i don't i don't
54:50think i do what
54:51about you dan i feel like over the past nine tasks i've really kind of proven myself in many
54:56different ways um i i do believe that ultimately you've got to decide who you want to go into
55:01business with i know that i've only ever worked for myself i'm an entrepreneur through and through
55:04that's all i know and the industry that i'm in i know it so well so it's whether you think
55:09there's
55:09great potential with my business that i've got and if it's something you want to join me on the journey
55:13with hmm i have observed you over the past nine weeks um dan
55:26you're going to remain in this process okay thank you lord sugar um this leaves me you too
55:39and yeah
55:48at this stage connor it's been very nice to uh meet you and be associated with you
55:54but i have to think about a kind of a gut feeling okay so you're fired thank you so much
