13:35wall I don't know what's load-bearing what's not but in my head I want to take this wall down

14:12generational wealth for his kids and black families like home ownership is a big deal we didn't get to
14:17own things for a long time and so to have something that you own that's all yours is so important

14:30want to restore his original plan and it's like buying this house is the first step to it

21:03how are things going this summer um they're good I told you Mia's been coming to the house pretty
21:09much every weekend but it's actually been really nice having her around how are you feeling about
21:14New York now I think I'll always have a place in New York right but like in terms of where

21:20raising a family it's definitely gonna be with like more land right so we can at least have a couple
21:26cats and a couple dogs maybe a goat or a horse and a cow oh and a pig you need
21:32a fence in your
21:32backyard you had pigs why can't I have pigs you're so country yes I am absolutely dad's side of the
21:40family is country you're like kind of backwoods because they had one pig you had three we did have
21:47a toilet inside the house Sierra you know now I haven't discussed with your dad anything about who
21:54really owns the house so you know eventually he will find out but I already know who's gonna be
22:01pissed because I did it behind everyone's back I don't feel like you did something behind his back
22:07I think there was something that you wanted and this is a way in which you needed to make that
22:12purchase
22:12does your dad know that you purchased this home he does know he doesn't know but you know yeah he'll
22:22know now I knew my grandparents house was gonna be up for sale but I haven't talked to my dad

22:28four years now and I just wanted to get the house fair and square I didn't want to jump through

22:34special hoops so I mean I just had to find a real estate agent get an attorney have my accountant
22:42make a separate LLC have my accountant make a trust and then make up a name for the trust and

22:47the house under the trust and then send my realtor to court with my dad and his family and they
22:53rejected my offer I put in another and then I won I just think in terms of dad like I
23:01don't know
23:02sometimes I feel like he like misconstrues my intentions and like I just don't know if we're
23:06in a state where he'll actually understand my intentions it's like it's just like a new chapter
23:12in that house and it's like as I'm like venturing into the next phase of my life it's like where
23:17your grandkids will come and like you'll spend time with them hopefully and like it's a place where like
23:22we can have Christmas there we can have a Thanksgiving there like I do want it to be a home
23:27base and I know
23:28it's not like your parents home but like well hopefully now it's wherever you are that's for
23:34me what's more important my relationship with my parents it's probably gonna always be layered it's
23:40probably gonna always be complicated but I really loved my grandparents and I hope that one day my kids
23:51can feel that from my parents and like in that house too as well it's like maybe it's a dream
23:59maybe it's not I don't know but you know whatever the house turns into I still just feel really lucky
24:04and blessed to even be able to keep it in my family I know where you came from and I
24:11see where you are
24:12and I'm just you know really proud of that just keep keep doing more yes keep doing more dear
