13:21The lake shore's right there, so we really wanted to tie that together.
13:25For our lake house, I want to blend the clean lines with the natural vibes of the surroundings,
13:29but we're going to add a touch of our West Coast style.
13:32So I'm thinking we do two-tone siding, a charred black mixed with a natural oak,
13:37black window trim, and a statement entry door, maybe black with glass panels.

13:49We're co-workers and friends from Vancouver, Canada.
13:51Meredith and I met four years ago through a mutual friend, and we just hit it off right away.

14:01Being Japanese-Canadian plays a huge impact on how I design.
14:05Things need to be very intentional.
14:07It shouldn't feel cluttered.
14:08It should feel purposeful.

14:11There's a ton of work, and we have to impress both Brian and Scott and all the future guests for
14:16this property.
14:17We are calling the lake house Moonlight Bay because I love how we have such a gorgeous waterfront.
14:24Not only is it appreciated in the daytime, but also the nighttime as well.
14:28For siding, I'm envisioning two different wood tones.
14:31One's a rich blackened wood finish, almost like a charred look, and then we can pair it with a light
14:37oak accent.
14:38I want to wow the guests, so a modern sleek door is a must.
14:42Then we'll go in with the black roof on the top to tie it all together.
14:46I'm so excited that we're doing this together because I feel like when we work together, we just make, like,

15:25I want our lake house bright and beachy, so I'm thinking we use white siding with warm wood accents.
15:30And as a nod to my favorite place on earth, the Bahamas, we will paint the front door in an
15:36eye-catching color,
15:37and over the black windows, we should install, like, Bahama-inspired shutters painted the same color as the door.

22:25After graduating university, I didn't know what I wanted to do, so I renovated my parents' home
22:30to just help them sell their home, and the property sold for over-asking.
22:34It's been a bit of a snowball effect, and here we are today, almost six years in.

39:12One of the things I noticed right off the bat was just the cohesiveness across the board with
39:18how you move sort of, what I say, zone to zone, and every moment spoke to the next.

39:28I think it's such a cool spot.
39:29That will be your social media picture, your chill-out spot.
