Brandon Beckett doesn’t fire so much as he judges the situation at extreme range. Then he and special agent Zero get sent to Costa Verde for a job that is, conveniently, about as subtle as a warning label. The place is basically a reunion of elite soldiers from everywhere, assembled to rein in a militia before it deploys a dangerous “super-weapon.”

Yes, the movie is built on the promise of lethal technology. But the real tension comes from the human part. Beckett also has to coach a rookie shooter, which means leadership duties on top of the whole “stop an armed threat before it goes bad” situation. And it goes bad. Fast.

If you like your action direct, your standoffs loud, and your mentoring moments a little stressed, this is your kind of last stand.

Brandon Beckett ist der Typ, der eine Pistole eher als Idee betrachtet. Und als er mit Spezialagent Zero nach Costa Verde geschickt wird, geht es nicht um Heldentum, sondern um Reichweite. Vor Ort: eine bunte Truppe Elite-Soldaten aus aller Welt, die sich alle gegenseitig irgendwie übertreffen müssen. Das Ziel ist klar. Eine Miliz soll gestoppt werden, bevor sie ihre gefährliche „Super-Waffe“ auspackt. Klingt nach Hightech. Fühlt sich eher nach „wir haben schon zu viel gesehen“-Action an.

Nebenbei übernimmt Beckett das Mentoren-Ding und muss einem Rookie beibringen, dass Ruhigbleiben wichtiger ist als Durchdrehen. Spoiler. Die Mission wird trotzdem tödlicher. Sniper-Fokus, Spezialeinheiten-Cosplay und ordentlich Druck auf den Finger.
