00:00Seeing them say goodbye was really hard.
00:02Todd and Julie Chrisley facing 30 years in prison.
00:06It was such a shock.
00:08Well, this is like Twilight Zone.
00:10I still don't know how to put into words
00:12the betrayal that we have experienced.
00:14President Trump is set to pardon reality TV
00:17stars Julie and Todd Chrisley.
00:19Watching my mom walk out was an amazing feeling.
00:22That's what you've been waiting on for three years.
00:24We broke up a month ago.
00:26Savannah Chrisley's romance with Robert Shiver
00:29has come to an end.
00:30I was a little concerned about Robert.
00:32His wife tried to kill him, allegedly.
00:35Lindsay Shiver.
00:36She was charged with a scheme to kill her husband.
00:38He's no further along today than he is the day that I met him.
00:42Lindsay and Kyle did not always behave and do things
00:45in the manner in which Todd would like.
00:47Lindsay did around five or so seasons of Chrisley Knows Best.
00:51One day, she and my mom got into an argument.
00:54Lindsay just started going absolutely insane.
00:57We had no more involvement with her until after the indictment.
01:01She does not want a relationship with me.
01:03She does, but she wants you to be in a better place.
01:05How can Savannah know what place I'm in when Savannah doesn't even know me?
01:09It's ridiculous.
01:09I can't go see my mom and my dad without it being uncomfortable because of her.
01:13That is your brother, he is my son, and he will be welcome anywhere I stand.
01:20Because you're not going out here holy rolling and saying that you're fighting for the world
01:23when you won't fight for your brother.
01:25Chase is not Chase.
01:27It's literally like a blank shell.
01:29Go to therapy.
01:29I was against it at first.
01:31You know how I feel about that.
01:33You got to talk to somebody.
01:35It's very sad, you know, to watch him suffer and
01:38know that there's nothing that I can do to help him.
01:41I don't know what my purpose is.
01:43There's a part of me that is so afraid that he's going to die.
01:48I literally, like, I don't even want to try to have a relationship with him.
02:01Let's talk about your parents being back.
02:04Did you think it was really going to happen?
02:06Not really.
02:08At first I didn't think it was real because I thought all the last times it was real,
02:13but this time it isn't.
02:15So I just waited patiently.
02:18I also made you laugh, but you didn't look at it.
02:21Honey, I didn't know.
02:23What's it like having them back home now since they've been gone for so long?
02:26I have to clean.
02:29It's visible.
02:30Oh my gosh, it's like 30.
02:31Why are you still awake?
02:37While you were in prison, were there any times with the kids where you were a little worried?
02:41I worried about my children every day that I was in there.
02:4324 hours a day.
02:44Every single day.
02:45I mean, always something to worry about.
02:48Savannah had some really hard times while you were away.
02:51She had this breakup with Robert.
02:53And how did you respond to that?
02:55That relationship just was going to be hard.
02:57And I don't believe that that was Savannah's true love.
03:10I think the hardest thing that I had to go through in prison was the day that Nick passed away.
03:23Nick was my ex-fiancé, and we were together 11 months and got engaged.
03:30And things just kind of started falling apart, and that's when I called off the engagement.
03:34But Nick and I kept dating.
03:35Nick was an amazing dude.
03:37He was an amazing guy, amazing friend.
03:40I mean, he was a part of our family.
03:42Nick was there through it all.
03:43He went and dropped Dad off at prison with me.
03:46He helped me move the kids.
03:47He painted my dining room that god-awful color that it is now.
03:52But I refused to change it.
03:54But he came to Atlanta during our trial
03:56and literally drove us every day down to the courthouse.
04:00And he would always hug me every morning.
04:01He'd come in.
04:03Yeah.
04:09He would always come in every morning, and he'd say,
04:12you got this, Pop.
04:13You got it.
04:15I'm proud of you.
04:17Former Anaheim Ducks player Nick Cordelis was killed overnight in a motorcycle crash.
04:22Nick was engaged to Savannah, daughter of Todd and Julie Chrisley.
04:25He also appeared on her family's reality show, Chrisley Knows Best.
04:30I remember walking into that visitation room,
04:32and Savannah turned around, and she started crying,
04:35and she just fell into my arms.
04:36And I said, what is it?
04:38And she said, he's gone, Daddy.
04:40And I said, who's gone?
04:42And Chase wasn't standing there, so obviously I thought, it's got to be Chase.
04:46I said, Chase?
04:47And she goes, no, Daddy Nick.
04:49And I just remembered that my knees gave away.
04:53My legs just caved in, and she held me up.
04:58And we went outside and sat at one of the picnic tables, and we sat there and cried for hours.
05:03It was just horrible. It was hard to even wrap my head around that it had happened.
05:06And that is one of the worst parts of when you get bad news in prison.
05:10You can't be there to hug your child, to get them through those tough things that happen.
05:19He passed away on the 23rd.
05:22And I had texted him at 940 in the morning, and I said, please don't tell me you're gone.
05:27Please, I love you. Please don't be gone. I don't believe it.
05:31And then November 9th, I sent him a text and said, I miss you.
05:36I'm struggling so bad tonight, just life as a whole.
05:39I wish so badly I could call you because I know you would show up.
05:42That's just what you do.
05:44Please just know I love you more than anything in this world, and I'm so sorry I didn't love you
05:47better.
05:50I don't think that Savannah has still properly processed the grief.
05:56And I say that because of things that she has shared with me.
06:00And I think that Savannah felt like that they would find their way back to each other.
06:07That was a hard one to grieve. It was.
06:12So, and I just, I'm the type to where I just take it as soon as it happens,
06:17and then it takes me a while to actually grieve.
06:22But I would say every couple months, I may have a breakdown, and just like everything hits me,
06:30and it's super hard. And I mean, I definitely struggle in my own ways, and I'm in my therapy,
06:37but like, I'm going to fight through it.
06:40The last two years of the trauma that Savannah's had to endure, she's been hurt so much.
06:46But I look at it now, and I think that she's taking her life back. And I want her to
06:52have that,
06:53because of any, any person in the world that deserves to have a beautiful life,
06:58it's her. It's my daughter.
07:17This is a good little treat that we got to do today. I mean,
07:20you got to hang out and kind of learn each other. She looked cute today.
07:25Thank you. You look very beautiful yourself.
07:28This color looks really good on you.
07:30Well, thank you.
07:32Oh, thank you.
07:34You're welcome, honey, of course.
07:36You ladies go.
07:37Well, we're going to get us something good now, ain't we?
07:40For sure.
07:41It ain't going to hurt a weasel like you, but I'm not, you know, I always eat something good,
07:47and I think about it, and I say, oh, Lord, I wish I hadn't eat that, but it was sure
07:51was good.
07:51Hey, you only live once.
07:54And Miss Julie's a good cook.
07:56Yeah, I'm excited to try her cooking.
08:00Well, Jody, what do you and Chase plan on doing?
08:04Y'all just going to be loved like two little birds all the time in love and never do anything
08:08about it?
08:09Well, no.
08:12Chase, um, Chase was in the shower and he was like,
08:16hey, um, we need to talk whenever I get out of the shower and I was like, oh gosh, okay.
08:23So he gets out and then he tells me to close the bedroom door and he sits on the bed
08:28and he starts
08:30off by saying, you know how much I love you, right? And immediately I said, what did you do?
08:35He's like, nothing.
08:36Well, the next thing I know, he gets up off the bed and he starts to pull something out of
08:41his pocket
08:43of, I guess.
08:44Oh, I want to marry.
08:45Right. And I knew immediately. So I turned around
08:49so that I wouldn't see the ring or anything. And I was like, Chase, get up.
08:53And he's like, literally just kneeling right there. And he's like,
08:58trying to continue with his little speech. And I'm like, Chase,
09:02get up. We're not doing this right here. We're not doing this right now. Like,
09:06and of course he gets a little upset because he's like, I can't believe. And I'm like,
09:09I'm not turning you down. I'm turning down the environment. Like, ew.
09:15We're going out on a farm or something to be proud of.
09:18Right.
09:19Not a darn bedroom. Listen, that's kind of crazy.
09:24At this point, anything's better than that. It's only up from here.
09:29Yeah, that's right.
09:32Just so we're clear, I didn't say no, because I don't want to be proposed to my chase.
09:37I just said no to the environment and, you know, the whole scenario of him trying to pop the question
09:45in our bedroom. Chase won't stop blowing me up, so we're going to give him a call.
09:49Okay, let's see what the heck he wants.
09:53Hey, honey.
09:55Is she being nice?
09:57Am I not always?
09:59She's always nice.
10:00Well, nanny, you can't hurt my feelings, but you hurt the average person's feelings.
10:05Well, they don't have a tough coat on.
10:08Y'all must be filming. That's why you ain't cussing them.
10:11Oh, no.
10:12Mm-mm. No.
10:13We're behaving like...
10:15Ladies.
10:15Ladies.
10:16Nanny, you told me last week that you got your...
10:20Chase personally.
10:22She did.
10:24Inappropriate.
10:26Did you not, nanny?
10:28Well, now, just because I said it, it didn't mean that.
10:31Oh, okay.
10:32Jodie, did you tell nanny about how you wanted to try...
10:35Chase's gone.
10:37Bye. We'll talk to you late, dummy.
10:39Bye.
10:39Go ask for forgiveness from the Lord for lying.
10:42I wish nothing but the best for Jodie and Chase.
10:49I know it's hard for people to believe, but I love both of them.
10:54But I want to make the family come on board.
10:57And let's all come aboard and get on this ship and let's sail together.
11:02I think it was important for Nanny and I to hang out today and have a little girl time
11:08to get to know one another and I look forward to having a relationship with the rest of his family
11:17and just being here to support Chase and along for the ride.
11:23Chase, I want him to have a wonderful, beautiful, personal life with a relationship that feeds his soul,
11:31that is going to be a wonderful mother to his children, that's going to be a great wife,
11:37someone that I'm going to like. That's important.
11:40Because if I don't like them, I mean, can you imagine being in my family
11:45and being married to someone that I just don't give a about?
11:49You sit down there. I have an ability to be around someone for 10 minutes and know
11:55if this is someone I want to spend 10 more minutes with.
11:58Have you spent 10 minutes with Jodie yet?
12:01I don't know Jodie. I mean, Jodie was there the day that we got home, but that was
12:05five minutes I think that I spoke to her. There's been really no interaction between us and Jodie.
12:13Things are, I feel, are said about me without actually knowing me. Whenever other people in
12:19family are not very fond of him, then obviously I'm linked to that. Maybe I'm not what they want me
12:26to be or whatever, just because they may disagree with Chase.
12:38Not only did Kyle Chrisley answer our questions about his father's failure to pay state income taxes,
12:44we now know he's been subpoenaed by the state of Georgia.
12:47Chrisley's estranged son Kyle not only confirms it, but says his dad even bragged about it.
12:52I think he's trying to hide money. He doesn't like to pay what he owes. I think it is my
12:56dad's reality.
12:57Like I said, he's a narcissist. He believes that he has millions of dollars.
13:02Having a show, being on television, you know, we're not unlike most families.
13:08And we all have our issues and have disagreements and everything, but unfortunately, sometimes it's played out.
13:18What's your relationship like with Kyle and Lindsey today?
13:22Like I say, they're my grandchildren too. And I love them too. They have a special place in my heart.
13:28They had a different way of life. And it's like I tell them, they wanted to be loved too.
13:36Sometimes you might say things and do things that you regret. We all have.
13:42And sometimes you can't take back. That's what my parents tried to instill in us.
13:47Be careful with the words you say, because you might have to eat them someday.
13:52How was your relationship with Kyle and Lindsey growing up?
13:57Nope. Not going there.
14:06I don't want to go down that vein. Yeah.
14:11When it comes to Kyle, I mean, he literally just took our childhoods away.
14:16Like, dad was worried about him being in this crack house and that crack house. And, you know,
14:21is he alive? Is he dead? Is, you know, what legal problems is he getting himself into? Like, he was
14:28always, it didn't matter if it, he wanted the attention. Whether it was good attention,
14:33bad attention, as long as it was on him, he was happy.
14:37In 2017, we're filming. Julie gets a phone call and I see her take her mic off. When I saw
14:45her do that,
14:46I knew something was wrong.
14:50And she said, they're saying it's the Georgia Department of Revenue and that you owe like
14:54three million dollars in Georgia state income tax. I said, that's a lie. We're not even residents of
14:59Georgia. I said, we're residents of the state of Florida. I get on the phone with my attorney,
15:04Steve Friedberg at the time. I said, Steve, find out what's going on here. Then we had to prove that
15:10we
15:11had been there six months and one day out of the year. This took two years. And during that time,
15:19our attorneys come to us and tell us, do you know where this is originated from?
15:24And I said, no. He said, uh, this originated from Mark Braddock and Kyle and Lindsey.
15:34It was like someone had, had just sucked the, it's like all the air just left the room. I had
15:41you know, I had posted some tweets that I shouldn't going back, looking back as a parent,
15:46I should have been better.
15:53Shouldn't have done that. I should have taken the higher road. I'm the parent. But when you're,
15:57when you're that hurt, you strike back out of hurt. And then I remember sitting in a restaurant in
16:05Charleston, South Carolina and getting a phone call. I walked outside because he identified
16:11himself as a police officer. Within three minutes, I realized that she had filed a police report
16:17saying that Chase and I were blackmailing her with a sex tape that she had participated in
16:25with some, I don't even remember what the kid's name was. He was on The Bachelor or something.
16:30He asked me if I could meet him. That's when I got the warning that Chase had incriminating evidence
16:37against me, nude photos, and had obtained this tape for $5,000.
16:44Nobody's ever had a conversation with her about a sex tape. Ever.
16:49Dude, first of all, I don't want, I wouldn't want any sex tape out there of anybody in my family.
16:56I've never purchased a sex tape of her, never seen a sex tape of her, don't want to see a
17:00sex tape of her.
17:02So, I mean, it's just a lie.
17:08Never heard another word about it. He never heard another word about it. I never heard another word
17:13about it. And I remember telling Chase, I don't want to hear about this trash . I said,
17:18it better not, it better not be out there. And it never did, because it never existed. I called
17:25Lindsey when, I mean, I'm on the phone with this guy from the sheriff's department and I said, sir,
17:31this is what happened and it's exactly what I just told you. I mean, you put that stuff out there,
17:35that's out there forever. Not to mention legal trouble that I could have gotten into.
17:41Before the trial, she wanted to meet with our attorneys because she had a lot of things that
17:44she needed to get off her chest. And she told that the sex tape didn't exist.
17:49I think once she saw, this is for real. You know, these are my parents' freedom on the line here.
17:55I need to tell the truth.
17:57So this is the transcript from when Lindsey was testifying at our criminal trial.
18:01When you were talking to and contacting the FBI about things that Todd had said,
18:05he was announcing on his podcast and other places that he did not do these things, right?
18:11Yes, sir. And again, today, you don't believe those allegations were true, do you? No, sir.
18:21I talked to Lindsey and Kyle. She'll always call me and ask me how I'm doing. And she always
18:28asked me, do I need anything? I said, no, I'm good. And, you know, usually with Kyle,
18:34I just asked him, how's he doing? Did he have a great day? And what's going, what he's doing?
18:40And he'll always say the same thing, Nanny, I love you. And I said, I love you too.
18:46What was your reaction when you found out that Lindsey had worked with the feds?
18:53Well, I really don't want to talk about that. I didn't get engaged in that. I'm going to leave that
19:00alone.
19:03Kyle came to see me one time. I've never had an apology from Lindsey. I have had an apology from
19:09Kyle.
19:10Kyle came unannounced. I had had no communication with him. And I remember walking
19:16into the visitation room and him standing there and I was in a state of shock.
19:21And he hugged me and went to the vending machines and bought me a drink and some chips or whatever.
19:30And we sat and talked. He apologized for his involvement, for the things that he had done
19:37and said and that he has no way of, he said, if I could take them back, I would, but
19:44I can't. And I'm
19:44asking, can we just, can we just pick up from here and move forward? And that wasn't possible for me.
19:54Lindsey came to see me one time and it was in the press the next week.
20:02So, friend or foe? Daughter or enemy?
20:28So, Grayson, what has it been like with having your parents home now?
20:31That sucks. Are you not happy that I'm home? No, I am. I am. You missed your dad, didn't you?
20:40I did. It's not when you get on your cleaning board path.
20:44Because we're not one to live in bed. And your room literally looks like a hoarder.
20:49That would have never happened had this been on my watch.
20:53First of all, first of all, half the time, I'm not even here.
20:56Second, second of all, I've been keeping this show going while you've been gone.
21:02So, y'all have housekeepers and they refuse to go in there because they're afraid they're
21:06going to get bitten by something. That's not true. It's not even bad.
21:10So, you're just doing the Laura Trump one of yours, that's right? You're not doing the
21:13one with Juju and Avie? No. Dateline?
21:15Mm-hmm. As usual, I've got to do the heavy lift-up.
21:18Well, you did just get out of bed. Oh, so we're going to live with that for the rest of
21:23my life.
21:23You will not shame me. I was going to say I was proud, but I ain't going to lie to
21:28that thing.
21:36My fight for my parents is now over. I had a mission. I set out to do something and I
21:43got them home.
21:43But with that, now I've been thrust in the political world. So, we're doing our Laura Trump
21:50interview. I want the truth to be told, and however it ends up, it ends up.
21:57Very project.
22:05You're still getting that.
22:10I'm ready to get this over with.
22:11I know. Everybody's like, nervous. It's been such a long time coming to finally be able to
22:19tell the truth. Because you have to remember, we couldn't do press and talk about anything about
22:24the trial or about the case or anything because our attorneys would say, don't talk about it. We
22:44feel good? Yeah. What are you apprehensive about? I'm good. Looking good, Greg.
23:13I don't know what God's trying to do to me right now. I think, probably, teach me patience.
23:22I don't know what God's trying to do. I don't know what God's trying to do to me right now.
23:38Todd, Julie, welcome home. Thank you. Thank you.
23:41It's hard to believe that just a month ago we were in prison.
23:44So many people have been waiting to see this moment happen. No one more so than these two.
23:53I feel that it was a great interview. Yeah.
23:55And then she opened it up for us to say what we needed to say and what we felt compelled
23:59to say.
24:00Was there a reason why Chase was sick?
24:10Well, Chase has been sick, as you know. And so that was a big thing for Chase. You know, he
24:16said,
24:17I do not think I should be there. Do you think it's going to look bad? And I said,
24:20I don't care how it looks. If you don't feel good, I don't need you having to get up off
24:25the sofa and go
24:26and throw up every five minutes. You can't treat your body the way he's treated his body
24:32and put into your body what he's put into his body and expect it to not have some issues.
24:39That's, that's the thing we've always told him. And he acts like, I don't know where this is coming
24:44from. I don't know what's going on. You know exactly what's going on.
24:52This is mine and Annie's stomping grounds. It's so pretty here.
24:57We've stoned dice up on right up here. I'm not surprised.
25:00I don't think, yeah, it was frowned upon. Come on, baby.
25:10I don't even know where to begin.
25:12How do you feel about your family's interview today?
25:15I found out through TikTok that my family was doing the show and I was not a part of it.
25:20Well, I don't think they purposely excluded you, but I do, I do feel that.
25:25I definitely do. I think it was intentionally done the way it was done to leave me out. That was
25:32Savannah. That was a calculated move. The level of betrayal, I mean, it's bull .
25:41You would think that we would all come united and now there's going to be speculations. Why
25:47I'm not there? Why this? Why that? Is there problems here? Is there problems? You know,
25:51people take stories and run with it. I know like your dad's mentioned,
25:55he doesn't want like your past being brought up on the interview, but it's like, well, that's,
25:59it's hard. But what passed? Okay. I got arrested one time for allegedly slapping the out of somebody,
26:06which I didn't do. I mean, obviously, thank you.
26:09Did you have the coffee set up? Yes.
26:12Enjoy. Thank you.
26:15I think they could have influenced you being on it by speaking up for you and saying that they
26:19would like you. I don't think they would have turned it down.
26:24Well, I'm going to, I'm going to read you the text he sent me.
26:26I said, the fact that I had, that y'all are doing a family interview and I have to find
26:30out from a TikToker, I said, I think that's taking a jab. And he said, Chase, there's no jab taken.
26:37We didn't find out, uh, that they wanted, uh, Grayson up until two days ago. It was always supposed
26:43to be me, your mom and Savannah, which I was told it was him and his mom. He says, this
26:48has nothing
26:48to do with you being kicked out. Do you want to be talked about being arrested? And I was like,
26:53dude,
26:53like talk about me being arrested. What the hell do you think they're going to interview you about?
27:02So I'm sure it's, they're trying to get it through.
27:05No, we're not going to go down that road. We're not going down that road because we're not feeding
27:09into the tabloids grabbing and saying that Chase has been alienated just like Savannah. I mean,
27:14just like Lindsey and Kyle. He sent me this, this picture of him. He was like, look how beautiful
27:20your mom looks. And I was like, she looks amazing. That's petty as insensitive. That is, my dad is
27:26petty. That's where I get it from. You know, I'm petty. It's just not right. The whole pickup situation's
27:35not right. Leading me out of the interview isn't right. It's not like I'm like some external part
27:41of the family. Like I've been a part of every single thing. Now that it's been two years of dating
27:47him,
27:48I feel like I have a pretty good idea of the relationship between Chase and his mother,
27:54Chase and his father. In a perfect world, the family dynamic is mended. And you know,
28:01everyone finds peace and love. Good luck. Good luck.
28:09It's never going to get better or improve if it's not confronted.
28:13You know how many times I've reached out to Savannah?
28:16I'm not saying just Savannah. Your parents should be like, hey, everyone's going to listen to us because
28:22we're y'all's parents and we're going to have a sit down and we're going to figure this out because
28:27this is not a way to live. I know that I've reached out countless times. It's just it's not
28:34reciprocating on both ends. I'm not going to beg anybody to have a relationship with me that doesn't
28:39want one. He has to get to a place in life to where he can be around alcohol and not
28:44drink it.
28:45And he's not there. I mean, he himself is still drinking. He's not going to convince me otherwise,
28:50even though he likes to say he's sober. He's not. Of course, dad says, well, Savannah, he's my son.
28:57Like, I'm not, I'm not going to, you know, let him fall. And if that's what dad wants to do,
29:03he can do it. But I don't have to be a party to it. Everything's not just going to be
29:08forgotten
29:09about. I'm trying to wrap this scene up. I'm getting pissed off.
29:20After my parents went away, like when I started drinking, like I would just go and go and go and
29:25go
29:26and go. I've just gotten to a point since I've like stopped drinking and stopped partying. Like,
29:30I've got to do everything I can do to protect my own mental health. Chase says that he's sober now.
29:35Do I believe it? No. I don't personally believe he's drinking right now. And I don't know if that's
29:41me lulling myself into a false sense of hope. I can tell you that I will know.
30:03What are you feeling right now?
30:04What are you feeling right now?
30:09There's a lot of emotions. I just need to go and handle a lot of trauma that I got buried.
30:18And I just thought that I could bury it, bury it, bury it, and you can.
30:29Are you scared?
30:30Yeah, I am scared.
30:36I just gotta find myself.
30:42I hope that today is the new beginning for me.
30:49You have to win this battle. You can't let the federal government win this battle.
30:54You can't let fire. No, we didn't win. We lost 28 months of our violence. So we didn't win.
31:01My life story is not going to be that I went to prison for 28 months.
31:06Your life story does not have to be that I had an alcohol and substance in your spot.
31:11That's not your life story. That's a part, that's a chapter in your life.
31:16Unfortunately, I dealt with all this with Kyle.
31:19So I don't have, I don't have the same mentality of dealing with it.
31:24This is different. This is not the same as you're dealing with Kyle.
31:28I'm not comparing you. I'm simply saying both had addiction issues.
31:34I'm not saying I'm . I'm not. I think there's disappointment.
31:40Do you think you've handled every situation the best way you could?
31:44Don't compare your situation of being an addict to your mother and I going to prison for something
31:49we didn't hate. I'm not referring to that.
31:53You never stop to think about it. I've been savannah for 28 months, the work that he's been on now.
32:00It's awesome. You talk about trauma and you think this 28 months has not been traumatic for her.
32:06You think all the trauma that she's had ran before that and then just going to prison and
32:12then losing a hit on top of that. All of that stuff was not bad.
32:23We've had a boat local trauma, but we cannot let that trauma divide us.
32:30The whole next situation was something that was indefinitely going to do.
32:40But do you think that was the situation that you're in?
32:59You don't have to worry about it.
33:21Well, Todd?
33:23Yep.
33:25How you feeling?
33:29You know,
33:32I thought that going through this with Kyle would kill me.
33:36But maybe it was just preparation for what I'm going through today.
33:40I'm sad that I'm leaving, that I had to bring my son to a rehab.
33:45I'm sad that I'm getting on a plane and he's not on it with me.
33:49Even though we've been through a lot,
33:52I truly believe that God did not bring us this far to drop us off.
34:00And that God will keep a protective hedge around my son and he'll hand on him at all times.
34:06It's because that's what I pray for all of my children every day and every night.
34:19Chase and I are definitely on rocky terms because over the past two and a half years,
34:23he has not helped me at all.
34:25As much as Savannah says she wants my help, I don't think Savannah actually wants any help.
34:29Chase and Savannah have fought since they were teenagers.
34:32And that worries me because I feel like the divide is just going to continue to get bigger and bigger.
34:38I don't want to go back and forth with Savannah.
34:40Until Savannah gets to a place where she wants to have a productive relationship with me,
34:46nothing good is going to come from it.
35:00Savannah, how are you?
35:02I mean, I'm fine.
35:03Just getting settled in my new place and
35:07getting, figuring out what a new reality looks like
35:11from obviously the past two and a half years.
35:14It's just a lot of adjustment.
35:16Well, it's definitely a better one.
35:22Well, I wanted to clear the air and kind of make amends if that's something that you're open to.
35:27Well, I mean, yeah, I'm open to having a conversation for sure.
35:33Well, I know that you feel like not everybody was there for you,
35:37but I mean, obviously, you know that I was fighting my own demons.
35:42And so I'm sorry for my part in it.
35:46And I definitely could have showed up for you more.
35:49And I just wanted to apologize to you.
35:53Yeah, I just think, you know, like, a blanket I'm sorry is tough to accept.
36:08Like, I would actually like to talk about it so we don't get to the same place that we've been
36:13at.
36:14I mean, Samantha, I just think, I mean, you know that I wasn't, like, in the right head space.
36:19I was doing all I could do to take care of myself.
36:21And that's not an excuse.
36:23And thank God that you were strong enough to do what you've done.
36:27And, like, I've told you, like, I'm beyond proud of you.
36:31I'm beyond thankful for the steps that you took and the responsibility that you carried.
36:36Because, like, I was a mess.
36:40I know that and I appreciate that.
36:43But it doesn't take away from, like, I'm, you know, the amount of, first off, I'm not truly happy with
36:53how I handled my stress and the way that it came across.
36:59The past two and a half years, nobody won time.
37:02Because I'm the strong one.
37:04I'm the tough one.
37:05It's always been said, well, you're the strong one.
37:08You can deal with it.
37:09I never wanted to deal with it by myself.
37:12I never wanted to not have people to show up for me.
37:16I mean, hell, Papa Harvey didn't even wish me a happy birthday.
37:21Like, I know that I have had no one to care about me.
37:25And that's why me, Grayson, and Chloe stuck so close together.
37:29Because that was the only people I felt like I had.
37:33And I'm labeled as the bitch and the this and the that.
37:37But nobody knew the pressure that I was under.
37:42And it, I don't want to control or be the one to, you know, you said, you just, Savannah doesn't
37:52want the help.
37:52She wants to say she does, but she doesn't.
37:54No, I would have loved to have had it.
37:56And I don't want to be the strong one.
37:59But if I wouldn't have, then I don't know what the hell would have happened.
38:04So, I get that I can come across as bitchy or controlling or this or that.
38:09But there comes a point to where that's the only way you can come across.
38:17Well, I mean, what I can do is show up for you now in the future.
38:24Because I can't go back and change anything.
38:26But I'm sorry, Savannah.
38:28And I love you.
38:30I love you.
38:31And I'm here if you need me.
38:34You know, I am too.
38:35So, hopefully this is the beginning of a new chapter.
38:41Well, I'm proud of you for taking the steps that you're taking.
38:44You've always had so much potential if you just let yourself fall into it and work for it.
38:49And I'm proud of you.
38:52And, I mean, Savannah, like, two years, like, you lost those two years of your 20s.
38:57You need to take the next two years and get and spend that time for you.
39:00And go and do whatever makes you happy.
39:03Because you're not, you don't have to carry that burden anymore.
39:08I know, trust me, I am.
39:10I've already started my travel journey.
39:12I am gone.
39:15I'm gone.
39:16I'm doing it.
39:18Yeah.
39:19So, you don't got to remind me on that one, trust me.
39:21I remind myself enough.
39:24I love you.
39:26And thank you.
39:27I mean, just for everything.
39:29And I'm sorry again.
39:30And if you need me, I'm here.
39:32I love you.
39:34I love you.
39:38I've learned not to take anything for granted.
39:42I've learned that time is the only thing that money can't buy back.
39:47So, I'm not going to waste it arguing over small, petty things that don't really matter at the end of
39:54the day.
39:55And that family is really all you got.
39:59Now that my parents are back, I feel like life is starting to get back to the way it was
40:04before.
40:05I mean, it's going to take some time.
40:06I think in the past two and a half years, I learned that I'm very resilient and stronger than what
40:14I thought I was.
40:15I sacrificed so much of my personal life and myself, and I feel like I lost out on so much.
40:22And so much of me had gotten hardened, and I was like, all right, as bad as all this has
40:27sucked, like, something really good came from it, and it wasn't wasted.
40:31And from that has come now a lot of other opportunities.
40:35So, I really don't know what the future looks like for me.
40:39I'm going to D.C. on Tuesday, and I've got two days full of meetings.
40:44Who knows, maybe tackle another mission after this.
40:51And still today, we're not rushing into this.
40:54We're going to give them all the time, all the space that they need.
40:57We'll get used to it.
40:58We're just going to give everybody an opportunity.
41:01Looking forward to getting back to South Carolina, getting back to all my friends.
41:04I'm hoping when we get back and kind of get settled that, you know, we can take some trips and
41:09enjoy life and just do some things before, you know, God says, you, come on home.
41:17Let's just all be thankful and know that it will be a new beginning.
41:23And we're going to come out bigger and better in the end.
41:52We're going to build a house.
41:57It will be our first time building a house from the ground up.
42:00You know, I've always renovated and bought something or whatever.
42:03But we're going to build the home that we plan to stay in.
42:07And it's going to have everything that she wants in it.
42:10And, yeah, that's it.
42:12And hopefully I'm going to have beautiful grandchildren.
42:14If they're not, they're not mine.
