00:00First off, was everyone on board with the operation or were there people that were trying to talk you out
00:04of going through with the operation this weekend?
00:06Not everybody was on board.
00:07Somebody else within you?
00:09No, there was military people, very professional, that preferred not doing it.
00:13These two were totally on board, which was very important.
00:18They weren't.
00:18It would have had a little difficulty.
00:20But, no, there were military people that said, you just don't do this.
00:24You don't go into the heart of a very powerful military.
00:28You know, this is, hey, you have countries and countries.
00:31You have some countries where military is not their wrong suit.
00:34This whole thing is militarized like nobody's ever seen before.
00:38Half the people are wearing uniforms.
00:41And we had people within the military.
00:45Usually it's not done.
00:46That's one of the reasons.
00:47You know, I was surprised.
00:48Somebody said it's the only time it's ever been done.
00:50I said, that's not possible.
00:51But it is possible.
00:52Because you're going into hundreds of thousands of soldiers along the path.
00:58I mean, look at some of the helicopters, how they got hit.
01:03So, yeah, there were people within the military that said it's a wise.
01:06And don't forget, how many men did you send all together, approximately, for the operation?
01:11I'd love to keep that a secret.
01:13Okay, well, we are.
01:15But I will tell you, the number, I'll keep it a secret.
01:19But it was hundreds and hundreds of these people.
01:23That's pretty good.
01:24Is he central?
01:25Is he central casting?
01:27But hundreds of people went into this journey.
01:31Hundreds of people could have been killed.
01:32Forget about the equipment.
01:33A lot of equipment.
01:34Nobody cares.
01:35Hundreds of people could have been killed.
01:38So, we had people that were within the military that said, this is not a wise.
01:42And I understood that.
01:43But I decided to do it.
01:46Was there a point that they were going to, that you were thinking, there's too much on
01:50the line, and somebody was saying, maybe we abort this now and wait?
01:53I mean, given the resources, like the general said, it seemed like there was so much on the
01:57line here.
01:57You must have been thinking, this could have completely changed the next three years.
02:00So, the first one, which was in many ways as dangerous as the second, I guess it
02:06gets, because we're flying over daylight.
02:09You know, we're the best at the world at night.
02:11We have goggles that nobody, we have goggles.
02:13I've tried them, they're unbelievable.
02:15I see better with the goggles at night than I see without them during daylight.
02:20I mean, daylight today, we have a beautiful day.
02:23You see just as well with goggles.
02:26In many ways, it's enhanced.
02:28So, we have the best in the world.
02:29So, it's much safe for us to, for us to do it at night, whereas other people, no other country
02:35has that capability.
02:36They don't have the, they don't have that particular piece of equipment like we do.
02:40But, when I was told, flying, and in daylight, I think we flew seven hours over Iran, and
02:47that's a long time, over unbelievably hostile territory, where they have nothing but weapons.
02:54We took out their anti-aircraft, which is great.
02:57We took out their radar, which is great.
02:59We took out a lot.
02:59But they still have, you know, what hit this one was a shoulder, handheld shoulder missile,
03:05heat-seeking missile.
03:06So, it's not like, you know, they're totally whatever.
03:10But, but, and they have probably a little luck, because you've got to get lucky.
03:15But they shot it, and it got sucked in right by the engine.
03:19But these guys were out of there.
03:20They were great.
03:21Their timing was great.
03:22But, no, I was told that this is a very dangerous mission.
03:26I understand.
03:27They didn't say it's a foolish mission.
03:29They said, you know, we're going to be sacrificing hundreds of people do this.
03:33This is, I mean, you have tankers that are flying over this area so that they, because the flight
03:37was so long, they had to refuel, it's a very dangerous mission.
03:42I just felt it was worth it.
03:44If you would have told me that we would have been successful, gotten both, and nobody was
03:48even essentially injured, I would have said that would be impossible.
