00:04There's something on the floor you might want to take care of?
00:07I'm not actually here to-
00:09Yeah, yeah, I get it. You're probably new here or something, but seriously, the papers on the floor is a
00:14mess.
00:15Could you just, like, take care of it? Thanks.
00:17Uh, I don't think you quite understand.
00:20Look, I don't have time for excuses. I'm here for a job interview, okay?
00:24So, if you could just do your job, that would be great.
00:27Well, I'm actually not here to-
00:30Seriously, with the attitude? I'm just telling you to do your job. It's not that hard.
00:35You know, pick up the paper, sweep the floor, done?
00:39Okay, listen. I'm not the cleaning staff. I'm here for an interview just like you.
00:45Wait, you? For an interview? That's rich. I mean, no offense.
00:52Well, I guess that explains, like, why they're hiring, right?
00:55Good luck with your interview, then.
00:57Oh, I don't need luck. I got this in the bag, but thanks, I guess.
01:22Oh, hi. Um, are you Becky?
01:26Um, okay. Well, good afternoon. I'm Mark, and I'll be conducting your interview today.
01:31Um, why don't we get started? I want, maybe you could tell me a little bit about yourself and your
01:36background.
01:37Yeah, sure. Um, I mean, I've worked a few places. Nothing's super important, but, you know, I'm pretty good at
01:44stuff.
01:44All right, okay. Could you be just a little more specific? Like, what kind of roles have you held before,
01:49and what skills do you bring to the table?
01:51Um, I don't know. Um, I was, like, a team leader at my last job. Managed a few people. Yeah.
01:58Um, everyone said I was great at it. So, um, I just get things done, you know?
02:03Um, could you, I don't know, maybe give me an example of a project of, uh, that you managed and,
02:09or specific tasks where you, where you showed leadership?
02:12Um, well, I guess there was this one time where I had to organize, or, like, a schedule for the
02:20team, and it wasn't that hard, but I did it.
02:24That's good to hear. But let's, let's just talk a little bit more about your, your actual experience. What, I
02:29don't know, what drew you to apply for this particular role?
02:35Honestly, I'm just looking for something that pays better. I mean, I'm overqualified for a lot of positions, and then
02:43I saw this one, and it seemed like it could be interesting. If it pays right.
02:47Okay. Uh, well, I appreciate your honesty. Um, we're definitely looking for someone who's not only skilled, but really we're
02:58looking for someone that's also genuinely interested in the position.
03:00And based on your resume, um, I see that you have experience, but it, it might be more appropriate to
03:06consider a, a starting role for you that kind of, you know, allows you to build on your skills and,
03:11and grow within the company.
03:12A starting role? No way. I've been doing this kind of work for a while, and I'm definitely ready for
03:18a senior position. I didn't come here to waste my time on anything lower.
03:22Okay. Uh, I understand your perspective. Um, but a more suitable position would give you a chance to develop further
03:30and, and really demonstrate your skills.
03:32It's not a, it's not a step back. It's really, when you think about it, it's a step forward that
03:36could lead to more senior opportunities, you know, in the future.
03:40Look, Mark, I don't think you get it. I'm not looking to be like some entry-level employee. I know
03:46what I'm worth, and it's definitely more than whatever low-level role you're suggesting.
03:50Okay, right. I see that you have a lot of confidence. Great quality, great quality.
03:56But it's important to match that confidence with, with experience, and a willingness to grow.
04:02This company, we really value people who are ready to learn, you know, take on new challenges, regardless of whatever
04:09the role was that they started in.
04:11You gotta be kidding me. Why would I waste my time on something so basic? I'm not here to learn.
04:18I'm here to lead.
04:19Okay. Yeah, thank you for sharing your thoughts, Becky. Yeah. Let's just take one moment to pause here. Okay.
04:25Um, I'd like to proceed with, uh, another interview, but please, just, please stick around.
04:32Fine. But just so you know, I'm not planning to wait around here forever.
04:36Well, it's, it's not gonna be long. I appreciate your patience.
04:40Whatever.
04:48Hi.
04:49Yes, uh, come in. Hi, you're Alicia?
04:53Yes.
04:54Well, come on in. Please.
04:55It's really nice to meet you.
04:55Can you describe a situation where, you know, perhaps you had to perform under stress and how you managed it?
05:01Absolutely. In my last role, there was a time when our team was really understaffed, and we had this really
05:07big event coming up.
05:08I had to step in and manage multiple tasks from coordinating with vendors to handling customer inquiries.
05:15It was rather overwhelming, but I made a checklist, prioritize the most urgent tasks, and kept communicating with the team
05:23to ensure we were all on the same page.
05:26It certainly wasn't easy, but we really pulled it off, and the event was a success.
05:31I really think staying organized and clear headed is key when things get stressful.
05:36And, you know, it actually shows that you have a proactive approach to problem solving. You know, how, how, how
05:43do you see yourself growing within a company like ours?
05:45Well, I'm really looking for a place where I can grow my skills and take on even more responsibility over
05:51time.
05:52I understand that starting at a more junior level can be a stepping stone, and I'm willing to put in
05:57the work to prove myself.
05:58I would love to eventually take on projects that let me lead a team, but I also want to keep
06:04learning.
06:05I'm not just looking for a job. I'm looking for a career path.
06:09I appreciate that kind of mindset, Alicia. It's, I tell you, it's refreshing to see someone who values growth and
06:15learning.
06:15Absolutely. I've always believed that you, if you put in the effort, you can achieve your goals.
06:22I'm not afraid of starting small as long as I have the opportunity to keep moving forward.
06:26And that's exactly the kind of attitude that we look for in our members, you know.
06:29It's, it's not just about having skills. It's also the drive to improve and contribute.
06:36And I have to admit, this is, has to be one of the more positive interviews that I've conducted today,
06:40honestly.
06:41Wow, I'm, I'm so glad to hear that. I've done a lot of research on the company, and I really
06:46admire the culture here.
06:48I would love to be a part of a team that values creativity and collaboration.
06:53Well, it sounds like you've thought a lot about this, and I'll tell you, that's commendable.
06:57I do want to be honest, though. The role that we're looking to fill, it's quite challenging,
07:01and it requires someone who's prepared to handle a variety of tasks.
07:05And, you know, you've shown that you're adaptable, but I want to make sure that you're comfortable with, with that
07:11kind of workload.
07:11I completely understand, and I'm ready for that.
07:14I actually thrive in environments where there's a lot going on.
07:18I think it keeps things interesting, and it pushes me to be even better.
07:22Well, Alicia, I have to say that you've, you've made a very strong impression.
07:26Your approach, your answers, the way you carry yourself, it all speaks to your professionalism and readiness to grow.
07:34And I am so glad you came in today.
07:36Oh, thank you so much, Mark. That really means a lot to me.
07:40I'm really excited about the possibility of joining your team.
07:43Okay. Okay. Well, we'll wrap it up here, but I'll be making my final decision soon.
07:48And if there's anything else that you'd like to add, now's the time.
07:51Just that I'm really grateful for this opportunity.
07:54And no matter the outcome, I'm so glad I got to learn more about the company.
07:59I really appreciate your time, Mark.
08:01Thank you, Alicia. It's been a pleasure.
08:03And I'll call you back in shortly to let you know my decision. Okay?
08:07Wonderful. Thank you.
08:09Having a wonderful day.
08:10You too.
08:14Action.
08:19Thank you both for coming in today.
08:21And I've had a chance to review everything.
08:23And I wanted you to know that I appreciate the time that it took each of you for this interview.
08:28And I'd like to share my decision now.
08:29Right. So can we just like get to it?
08:31I've got places to be and I'm sure we all know how this is going to go.
08:35Becky, I need to ask for a little bit of patience here.
08:37This is important. And I want to give both of you the respect that you deserve.
08:42And I'll be honest, it's been an interesting day.
08:44And both of you, you bring very different qualities to the table.
08:48And that being said, I need to make my decision based on not just on experience, but also on professionalism,
08:55attitude, and how well you would fit into the team.
08:57Well, I mean, that's a no brainer, right?
09:00I've got the experience. I'm clearly ready for a leadership role.
09:04I'm not here to be someone's assistant.
09:06Okay, Becky, I understand that you have confidence in your abilities, but I need you to make sure that you're
09:11hearing what I'm saying.
09:12It's not just about experience. It's about how you approach challenges, how you treat others, and how you conduct yourself.
09:20I don't see what the issue is. I know what I'm worth, and I'm not going to sit around waiting
09:24for a position I don't want.
09:27If you can't see that, then maybe this isn't the right place for me at all.
09:31Alicia, I wanted to thank you for your patience today. Your answers were thoughtful, and your attitude throughout this entire
09:38process has been professional and considerate.
09:41Thank you, Mark. I've really appreciated this opportunity, and I have learned a lot just by being here.
09:47And I've made my decision, and after considering everything, I'd like to offer the position to you, Alicia.
09:53What? Are you serious? You're going to choose her over me? What does she even have that I don't?
10:01I'm serious, Becky. Alicia showed qualities that are important to us here. Patience, respect, and willingness to learn and grow.
10:09And it's not just about what you know. It's about how you handle yourself and how you work with others.
10:14Oh, I get it. You want someone who's going to just say yes to everything and follow orders.
10:20Well, that's not me. I'm a leader, not a follower.
10:24Okay, and I respect that you see yourself as a leader, Becky.
10:26But a true leader knows how to listen, how to be considerate, and how to support the people around them.
10:33And what I saw today, that did not reflect any of those qualities.
10:37Whatever. I don't need this. I am too good for this. Good luck with your little follower.
10:45Daddy, I didn't get it.
10:48I'm really sorry that you had to see that.
10:51But I hope it doesn't take away from the moment. Congratulations, Alicia. We'd be honored to have you join the
10:56team.
10:56Thank you so much, Mark. I'm really excited to be a part of this. I promise I'll do my best.
11:02I'm confident you will. Welcome aboard, Alicia.
