00:00Thank you for joining us.
02:48Good afternoon and welcome to Beyond the Headlines, where we go deeper than the stories we see
02:53online.
02:54I'm DJ Moises.
02:56Today's guest is someone many of us recognize, not just for her content, but for the message
03:01behind it.
03:02In a space often driven by trends and attention, she brings something more intentional, discipline,
03:09confidence, and community.
03:11Let's get to know the person behind the platform.
03:14Joining us today is Ann Porter.
03:15Hi, Ann.
03:16Welcome to Beyond the Headlines.
03:17Hi.
03:17Where's my camera?
03:23Hi, DJ.
03:24Thank you for having me here.
03:25And we're also grateful that you said yes to the invitation.
03:29Yeah.
03:29It's short notice, but we're here.
03:32Yes, we are here.
03:33So now, the main reason why you're here, and we're interested to have this conversation
03:38with you, it's because you have a content that's purposeful, intentional, profound.
03:46So, I will have to start the interview with something really important.
03:51What did you have for breakfast today?
03:54I did not have breakfast.
03:56Okay.
03:56I was so anxious of this short notice interview, but I did have coffee and that is enough.
04:02And then, Sigya, do you consider yourself as a morning person or somebody who negotiates
04:07with the alarm clock?
04:09I negotiate with the alarm clock every single day ever since I turned 30.
04:13So, I still get eight hours of sleep, seven hours of sleep.
04:18Are you, although I have an idea already of your answer, but are you a morning person
04:23or are you the type of person who is more productive in the evening?
04:28I try to get most of the heavy work done that requires a lot of mental load in the morning.
04:34So, I'm a morning person.
04:36And that is actually a very good point because there was one book that I read in the past.
04:43which I no longer cannot remember the title.
04:47But the color was yellow.
04:48And the author actually said something very important as that.
04:52But we'll deal with that in the long run.
04:54But I'm curious.
04:55But the reason is because important decisions and tough decisions,
05:01sometimes it's not our values that also influence our choices.
05:05It's our stamina and our will.
05:09Yes.
05:09As the day goes.
05:10Correct.
05:11It will deplete your willpower and your ability to make good decisions.
05:15Correct.
05:16And to filter instantaneous decisions that you have to make.
05:19That's why I love your answer when you said that you make your important work done in the morning
05:26because that makes you a morning person.
05:27So anyhow, what's the small thing that instantly puts you in a good mood?
05:33Coffee.
05:34I'm always grumpy before coffee.
05:37And how long does it normally take its effect the moment you have your cup of coffee?
05:43Actually, I feel like caffeine has no longer effect on me.
05:47It's just the joy of being able to drink coffee.
05:50Because I could just fall asleep immediately within an hour after drinking an Americano.
05:58So sometimes, many people may not know this,
06:01but if you want coffee to actually take effect on you again,
06:04you just have to take some break.
06:07For me, I would take a month break from coffee.
06:09And then suddenly, after drinking again, you can actually feel the kick of caffeine.
06:15But I wouldn't take that much more.
06:17No, but that's a good tip because there was also a time when I was younger
06:21that coffee lost its ability to give me that kick.
06:26But I did not know that technique.
06:29I mean, it worked on me.
06:30So maybe people can try.
06:32People can try.
06:33And then this one is in the context also of making informative content,
06:41which you do know.
06:42How long does it normally take you to create a content?
06:47It actually varies because I would classify my content into two types.
06:52So one is funny and one that is educational.
06:55So the funny content usually they just come out of either conversations that we have with my friends
07:02that I find funny and then I would say I would recreate this.
07:05And I'll be very transparent.
07:06There are also some skits that I would copy from the internet and I would create my own version.
07:12Those take a very short time to prepare.
07:15But I have them on calendar.
07:17Every time I have an idea, I always record them.
07:20And then the high-value ones, they would probably take, I would say, half a day from scripting and then
07:28shooting.
07:29And that's also, I appreciate what you said because obviously we're from a different generation.
07:39But during my time, I was also told when I began writing in school to always have a paper with
07:45me so that I could write my thoughts.
07:47Which is, yours is an upgrade.
07:50Yeah, I have it on my phone.
07:52Yes, Gen Z version.
07:54Correct.
07:54Yeah, because there are really ideas that would come to us at unexpected times.
08:00Okay.
08:01Now, what were the unexpected messages that you also received from your followers?
08:08Oh, there's a lot.
08:10Some messages would really inspire me.
08:13Some would just really surprise me.
08:14There was one, since you brought this up, I think that was a message just two days ago.
08:20That she thanked me because she felt like I changed her life because she broke up with her boyfriend.
08:26I'm like, how am I responsible for this?
08:28Like, what content?
08:29Like, I've tried to remember in my brain.
08:31Like, what content made you do this?
08:32And then she later on explained that she was in a toxic relationship.
08:36But honestly, up to right now, I did not know what content she meant.
08:39But somehow, if that brought positive change in your life, then you go, girl.
08:45And then when it comes to feedback such as this, what does that mean to you personally when you read
08:53feedbacks like that?
08:54Personally, DJ, it really warms my heart.
08:58Actually, to be honest, I save screenshots of these nice messages.
09:02And I put them, like, I kind of have this app called Notion.
09:07Like, that is how I organize things.
09:08And I put them on some Notion folder.
09:11And every time, like, that's how I kind of, like, recall my whys.
09:14Like, it's internet, everyone, ladies and gentlemen.
09:17People would always have bad things to say.
09:19It's how they exercise their willpower.
09:22But, you know, like, you cannot stop those people from giving you mean comments.
09:26But this is, like, this is very helpful.
09:27So, for anyone who wants to create content or anyone who wants to put themselves out there, like, try this.
09:33It works.
09:34And that also further reinforced what they say that kindness, right?
09:39Yes.
09:39Can go a long, long way.
09:41A long way.
09:42Were there moments also in which after you posted a content, or not necessarily immediately after, but you just thought,
09:50like, why did I share it?
09:53Yes, there were.
09:54And, in fact, I delete them.
09:58Like, I'm lucky in a way.
09:59I don't have a position like a journalist.
10:02You cannot just delete things after you publish them.
10:05We are kind of forgiving your audience.
10:07And sometimes, like, you feel sick.
10:09Oh, my God.
10:10I shouldn't trauma dump on internet.
10:12So, that's it.
10:13And now, let's go in the context also of working out, right?
10:19Yes.
10:20What high, no, does working out give you?
10:26It kind of, like, I wanted to, like, imagine it like collecting evidence for yourself.
10:34Like, collecting evidence of yourself.
10:35Like, I always see working out as, like, an evidence for your brain that you showed up for yourself for
10:41that certain day.
10:42Because our brain loves to collect evidence, right?
10:45And from that series of evidence, that's how you establish, like, self-belief.
10:49So, see?
10:50Like, imagine, like, when I'm doing a gym, the progress is quantifiable.
10:56Right?
10:56Like, like, what I love today is only this much.
10:59And then, the next day, I showed up.
11:01I'm getting tired.
11:01I'm getting increased.
11:02I'm getting increased.
11:02So, like, that's...
11:03In the gym, they call it, like, progressive overload.
11:05But it's quantifiable.
11:06And that showing up every single time for yourself really established a level of self-trust.
11:15Like, solid foundation because you're not trying to please anyone.
11:19Right?
11:19And that high, honestly, is very, very addicting.
11:23Like, it keeps you want to keep on showing up for yourself.
11:26And that's actually an aha moment for me, you know?
11:29Yeah.
11:29Because that's also a way of standing up for yourself, you know?
11:35Because, right?
11:35Like, I will take care of myself, etc.
11:39But it also needs action.
11:41Yeah, it needs action.
11:42And it's a way to actually get things done in their small area of your life.
11:47Correct.
11:47Because sometimes, if you want to, like, improve your life, we kind of, like, overthink it.
11:51That my relationship should be better.
11:53My career should be better.
11:55My love life should be better.
11:57But, like, focusing on just one area, for example, about physical fitness, I like it very much that you focus
12:03on this.
12:04Because the results are quantifiable.
12:07You can see your weight down.
12:08You can see the numbers change.
12:09But also, the persistence, the consistency that you cultivate while you are focusing in this area of your life could
12:17easily radiate in so many aspects of your life.
12:19So, are you the type who goes to the gym alone? Or do you go to the gym with your
12:24friends?
12:25I love going to the gym alone because I do have a coach.
12:30Ah.
12:30Yeah.
12:31So, that's why it really, it's honestly one of the best decisions that I made from last year that has
12:36really, like, improved my progress compared to, like, how I was performing, like, for three years at the gym without
12:44a coach.
12:45Because, like, it also saves me time because when I go there, I don't use my phone. I just show
12:49up, work out for an hour, and then leave.
12:51I'm guilty about the phone.
12:55Do you ever have cheat days or do you call these days something else, like, rewarding myself day?
13:03It's just basically exceeding your daily caloric intake requirements.
13:09So, I don't have names for it, just exceeding your requirement for the day.
13:14So, cheating, okay.
13:16Ah, okay.
13:17So, I can really tell that you're very disciplined with the follow through.
13:21Yes, yes.
13:22I mean, I'm not saying, I'm not here to tell everyone that I can constantly, I mean, I can stay
13:27consistent with the rules that I set for myself.
13:31But it's nice to have, like, this, like, what does an ideal day look like?
13:35What does an ideal meal would look like?
13:37Because sometimes we stray away, but we always have, like, a set of, like, default, like, idea of what your
13:44meal should look like, what your day should look like.
13:47You raise actually a very good point because I remember one of the coaches also that I listened online, he
13:55actually said that for some reason, for those who go through the highs and lows in terms of fitness, every
14:03time they hit the low point, it always starts with just this one.
14:08Just one can of soft drink.
14:11Yeah, yes.
14:12And then the rest is history.
14:16Yeah.
14:17So, which one is more challenging for you then, waking up early in the morning or saying no to good
14:26food?
14:27I would say, like, saying no to good food.
14:29I love eating.
14:31I love eating, especially when I eat with my friends and with people because I always feel like food is
14:36something to be shared with.
14:38So, what is that food, man, that can, I will not say completely ruin because you're a disciplined person, but
14:48can really challenge you to say no?
14:51Pastries, cakes, I'm, like, I'm a sweet tooth, so, like, I'm, like, it's almost impossible to say no.
14:58So, I try to, like, avoid them at home.
15:00Like, I don't put them in my pantry because, like, I don't need to see them.
15:04I don't need, like, to suffer, like, the sight of it but cannot eat it.
15:08So, it's not in my pantry.
15:11And then this one is related to this.
15:14Which one is harder, saying no to good food or controlling once you have already said yes?
15:22Great. Controlling once you already said yes because it's already there.
15:27Right?
15:28Dopamine is already, like, jumping and excited.
15:33So, it's so hard.
15:34So, that's why I always, if I am to give an advice, especially to people who find it hard to
15:40discipline themselves around food.
15:42In the first place, like, try to avoid or give, try to not give reasons among self to say no.
15:48So, out of sight, out of mind, right?
15:50So, always, like, clean your fridge.
15:55That's very, very helpful.
15:57Very, very true.
15:58That's also, like, an aha moment for me, no?
16:01Because, right?
16:02Right?
16:03Some people, they would say, why don't you just nip it in the bag?
16:06You want to kill it before it grows into something else.
16:10Yes.
16:11Because, what do you say?
16:11It drains your energy.
16:13Like, saying no to something takes up some energy in your mouth.
16:16Right?
16:17It takes cognitive load to decide, am I going to eat this or no.
16:20Right?
16:20So, imagine if you don't have to make all those decisions every single day by not having all those foods
16:25in your pantry.
16:26So, I can really tell that nobody's perfect, but I can tell that part of your strength is really discipline
16:33and follow through.
16:35So, when it comes then to people like me, who needs more resolve to win the argument against myself.
16:45Now, what are your tips so that myself would win, no?
16:50Not exactly what's not good for me?
16:54I think, start one good habit at a time.
16:59Because, this is like the common mistake that I see people, even my students, that if they want to, I
17:05want to live healthier like this year.
17:08I'm going to, I'm going to make it right.
17:10Tendency is that people tend to stack so many habits at the same time.
17:15That it makes someone so, like, our brain, I said, loves comfort, right?
17:18We want, we don't want things that are new.
17:20So, we would want to take one step, like, even just walking, right?
17:24And then try to do it consistently for a month.
17:27And then stack another habit.
17:30So, that's it.
17:30I think that is, for me, the best way to do it.
17:34How about your relationship with rice?
17:37Is it complicated?
17:38It's not complicated.
17:39I eat rice.
17:40It fuels my workout.
17:41So, I don't avoid it.
17:43Why would you avoid rice?
17:45Why would I subject myself to such pain?
17:48Well, with somebody as healthy and as fit at you, that's encouraging also to people like me.
17:55And then, what's also your way in terms of better control for you?
18:05Avoiding scrolling about food late in the evening or avoiding grocery when you're hungry?
18:14Probably scrolling in the evening because I always, I even have, like, social media timer on my phone.
18:20Like, it locks after a certain time.
18:22That's how I can, I am someone who creates content online.
18:26And sometimes, you can easily just doom scroll.
18:29So, having this timer, like, timed app.
18:32iPhone has this feature that I said to myself that I only need, I must only consume three hours of
18:38social media.
18:39At first, it was so surprising because I had time for two hours.
18:44That quickly?
18:47Like, how many things I can do in a day in two hours, right?
18:52So, but now, I couldn't avoid it. I should know the trends.
18:54So, I just, like, keep it to myself that, okay, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram combined, I need to only allow three
19:01hours and then my phone locks.
19:02So, having that in mind.
19:04So, having that in mind.
19:05Because, like, I always remember, you only have three hours in the day to spend.
19:08So, like, post the content, schedule it.
19:11I have, like, most of the content that I post, by the way, even the stories are scheduled.
19:15So, not real time.
19:17That's very good.
19:18Because there was a time that I was very surprised when I saw the report and it's eight hours.
19:21And it's like, my goodness.
19:23Yes.
19:23Yes.
19:23At first, like, when I spent two hours, I said, impossible.
19:27I can't wait for two hours.
19:28And then, morning pa lang, nilock na akong phone.
19:32So, diba?
19:33It's just, like, intermittent hours of scrolling.
19:36But if you accumulate that, how much work can you do?
19:39How can you, like, how much progress you can do in your life if you do that in productive work,
19:45diba?
19:45And then, sige.
19:46And then, when it comes to fitness, whether physical fitness or emotional fitness, which one hurts more?
19:55Leg day or heartbreak?
19:57Leg day.
19:58I always struggle with leg day.
19:59Okay.
20:00Like, I don't know if you've seen this.
20:02There were comments, right?
20:03There were comments that I received.
20:05That, Ms. Andu, because you're in fitness, you're in a flat, you're behind.
20:09I don't know if you're in genetics, but I'm trying my best.
20:11Okay.
20:12So, leg day, Jun.
20:14I'm really working so hard just to grow this lower body muscle.
20:20I'm into pole dancing.
20:21So, I'm a little bit of upper body.
20:23I want upper body strength.
20:24But on legs, it's kind of like left behind.
20:27So, this one is digging deeper on the discipline and the follow through and also going through leg days.
20:34Which one do you think is more key in your success?
20:40Motivation or discipline?
20:45Discipline.
20:46Consistent.
20:47I just want to add something because I don't really consider myself as disciplined.
20:52It's just, you know, like kind of auditing your environment.
20:56It's really what helps you getting more disciplined.
21:00Because I couldn't, like before, like in my twenties, I could never call myself as disciplined.
21:05But I've read some self-help books and it's the most important thing that you stay in my life.
21:10Like audit your environment.
21:12Can you elaborate on that?
21:13Because that's very good.
21:14For example, the people that you choose to surround yourself with.
21:18It's the most important thing.
21:20Especially the 30 people.
21:22Like we are no longer at the stage of our lives that we want to like have like a very
21:27big circle.
21:27So like you are, you are the average people that you surround yourself with.
21:35So that has really like improved my fitness journey.
21:39Like just being surrounded with these people.
21:41And like the environment, for example, in my life, right?
21:44Like storing food that you know is unhealthy for you but you still buy it in the grocery.
21:49And I hear this, I hear for some people that would say that it's impossible with kids.
21:55Because I don't have kids, so I couldn't say.
21:57But I also see mothers that are successful in that way.
22:00That whatever they're eating, their child is also eating.
22:03So it's just a healthy side.
22:05So whatever works.
22:07But that's a very helpful tip.
22:11And especially also the kind of content also that we...
22:15Yes, especially that.
22:16Yes.
22:17I just forgot to mention but thank you for mentioning that.
22:19But that's why, but you gave a very good term, no?
22:22Audit your environment.
22:24Yes.
22:26That's one.
22:26Now the other one is, let's go back to the gym.
22:29Gym playlist or silence?
22:31Silence.
22:31I don't have a playlist at the gym.
22:34Why is that so?
22:36Because I see a lot of people actually with hearing something else.
22:40Not necessarily music but they have something in their ears.
22:43Because I have a coach and he always gives me cues like, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.
22:51Engage in one core.
22:52So I cannot listen to music.
22:56And then, but just in case when you are not in the gym, what's on your playlist?
23:00Before, when I wasn't a coach, not a podcast.
23:04Ah.
23:05Podcasts.
23:06Oh.
23:06Where I just talk more motivational talking.
23:09It kind of like hyped me.
23:11And what were the, who were the favorite?
23:15Usually when, during my generation, the question is, who are your favorite authors?
23:20But in your case, who are your favorite creators man that you follow also?
23:24Um, I don't know if you're familiar with the Uberman podcast.
23:28I don't know if you're familiar with the Uberman podcast.
23:28That's what I do.
23:29Neuroscience.
23:30The geeky content.
23:32Even though it's very interesting.
23:34But, you know, it's very interesting.
23:37And now, because you also mentioned that you also follow a routine or a schedule for the day.
23:44And you do your best to stay disciplined and you want to follow through.
23:48So when you're not creating content, what are you doing?
23:53Training.
23:54Training.
23:55What are you doing?
23:57Training.
23:58Because you don't have Netflix subscription.
24:00I do have recently.
24:02Because my dad wants to visit me at home.
24:04So, I'm going to turn off the TV.
24:07Actually, I'm just going to turn off the apartment.
24:09So, I'm not going to turn off the appliance.
24:12So, I'm going to turn off the TV so I'm going to turn off my dad.
24:15So, you're not also into, what's this, series?
24:19I know a few series that I watch.
24:23But I watch them on repeat.
24:26I don't know why.
24:29That's how I relax.
24:31For example, I can only count on my fingers the series I watch.
24:36For example, Peaky Blinders.
24:38And then, Vikings series.
24:42And then, when I want to relax, I just rewatch them.
24:46Maybe because the plot is already predictable.
24:48I don't stress my brain.
24:50But I love every scene.
24:52So, go.
24:53Actually, the reason why I'm smiling is because my translation for that is people have an impression that I read
24:58a lot of books.
24:59But I actually just have a few.
25:01And then, I read them again and again.
25:03Oh, yes.
25:04Sometimes, you don't want to capture everything at one reading or even in series in one watching session.
25:12And then, now I'm curious.
25:14Before you became a celebrity.
25:16I'm not a celebrity.
25:19I just have 500K followers.
25:21Okay, okay.
25:22So, before you reach this level of success.
25:25Okay, relative man.
25:26Okay.
25:26Before you reach this level of success, who were you?
25:31I was a chemical engineer.
25:35Yes, I graduated in University of San Carlos.
25:37And really, I would call my area of expertise is value recovery engineering.
25:43I'm very passionate about doing something out of waste products from different industries.
25:48And then, creating something of higher economic value.
25:52I feel like that was my calling at that time.
25:54So, I was that person.
25:56And then, what was the moment, the pivotal moment, that shifted your direction to content creation?
26:07I feel like I always have it in me.
26:09Like, ever since back, I want to become a teacher.
26:13But, I don't know.
26:15Like, the idea of like imparting knowledge to people really is something that excites me.
26:20But, you know, it excites me the classroom setting.
26:22I feel like I don't have any patience.
26:24So, I always have that in me.
26:27I always want to.
26:28In fact, before I started content creation.
26:30I spent so much time doing like writing blogs.
26:34It was a blog at the first time.
26:36But, I don't have any readers at this time.
26:38Probably because people are already shifting to YouTube videos.
26:42So, that's what brought me to content creation.
26:46I always have this passion of teaching.
26:50And then, yeah.
26:51And then, I think you were in a, at least in my opinion, better position to do that.
26:55Because you obviously have a lot to give.
26:58Yeah.
26:58I mean, I'm kind of like happy that I started to matured.
27:03Because I feel like I have things, more things to share.
27:07And speaking of maturity.
27:09At what point within that range, no?
27:13That you.
27:14Because it's always good.
27:15Remember you were saying, you fake it till you make it.
27:18But, at what point in that stage when you were able to say that.
27:23I'm confident and authentic to who I really am.
27:30It was before I started creating content.
27:33Yes.
27:34But, I'm not saying that I'm like completely confident.
27:37It's a work in progress.
27:38It's always a work in progress.
27:40But, that came to me before I started creating content.
27:44And, what was that moment?
27:47There was no specific moment.
27:49But, like getting myself involved in the community I'm in.
27:52Like community of women.
27:54For example, I have my pole dancing community.
27:58Like it's a very niche community.
27:59But, we are.
28:00I am just like very, very supported in that community.
28:04And, that really helped me build confidence.
28:09And, even like starting my fitness journey.
28:11I would say that's why I really want.
28:13If there is something that I would really want to advocate to women.
28:15Is really like reconnecting with their bodies with movement.
28:18Because, I feel like that is a very pivotal moment for me.
28:22Like getting serious into fitness.
28:24Because, like I said.
28:25Like how are you able to establish self-confidence?
28:29It's not from other people's validation.
28:31Because, it's a bit shaky.
28:31It's a foundation.
28:33It's really like self-trust.
28:34And, every time that you show up for yourself.
28:37For your fitness journey.
28:38It's like collecting this evidence.
28:40Like I said.
28:41For your brain.
28:42That you can trust yourself.
28:43And then, a lot of women and even men would be interested also to know.
28:50But, not exactly to put you on the spot.
28:52But, so that we would have a better appreciation about our own insecurities.
28:57And, how we can get past them.
28:59So, what insecurity was for you the hardest to overcome?
29:03Or, you're still in the process of conquering it?
29:06Actually, it's hard to discover my intellectual insecurity.
29:14When I feel like I'm in a room with like people that are so much smarter than me.
29:19Because, I developed it in college.
29:21But, it's something that I didn't overcome.
29:25Yes.
29:25Because, I intimidate it.
29:26Actually, I intimidate it.
29:27And then, what are your hacks man?
29:30Because, I also feel that way.
29:32You know.
29:33I do resonate with what you just said.
29:36So, what are your hacks man said?
29:38For you to get past that.
29:40Because, a lot of it is just inside of mind.
29:42It's in your brain.
29:42Like sometimes, our brain exaggerates our fears.
29:45Actually, not sometimes.
29:46Almost all of the time.
29:47It exaggerates.
29:48Then, I feel like.
29:51This worked for me ha.
29:52When you are scared of something.
29:54Educate yourself.
29:56Like every single time it works.
29:57Like.
29:58Even as.
29:59Like for example.
30:00Performing.
30:00Like I'm a performer.
30:01I do aerial performances.
30:03Like.
30:04Anything above 10 feet.
30:05Used to scare me.
30:06A lot.
30:07A lot.
30:08So.
30:09So.
30:09I applied the concept.
30:11Actually.
30:12I already read it.
30:13If you are.
30:14If something scares you.
30:16Educate yourself.
30:17So.
30:17I applied it.
30:18How am I able to apply the truth.
30:21Because I would say.
30:22So.
30:23Like in performing.
30:24You just need to be very objective.
30:26Like.
30:26There is a probability.
30:27That you are tired.
30:28If you are in practice.
30:30Right?
30:30Like.
30:31You just like.
30:32Try to.
30:33Make sense.
30:33Because sometimes.
30:34Like I said.
30:35I always.
30:37Like.
30:37That.
30:39So.
30:42I was so scared of the questions, and I tell myself, it's not that good, like, I mean, this is
30:52a very reputable show, but I was still scared, like, just show up there.
31:00And I hope our viewers have captured that, because I believe there are a lot of people out there, and
31:06that includes me,
31:07who also questions whether I'm capable enough to handle a particular challenge.
31:13And I think I would also use.
31:15Yeah, always remind yourself that your brain always exaggerates the consequences.
31:21And the best way to conquer fear is just to educate yourself.
31:25Yeah, learn more about it.
31:26What you are afraid of.
31:27Yes, understand.
31:29And now, Kenny, because this obviously are hacks that are useful to be.
31:36What were the other hacks also, at least, or life in general, or things that you learned that you told
31:43yourself,
31:43I wish I learned about this sooner?
31:48I think what I mentioned a while ago, like, surrounding yourself with the right people,
31:56I think people pleaser, I think it's a great generation of people pleaser, and I really want,
32:03I'm so scared of disappointing people.
32:06And sometimes, if we get so, if we get so, if it's the worst part of people pleaser, we lose
32:13our sense of identity.
32:16Like, what do I want?
32:17Do I, do I, what, I mean, like, do I want something because I really want it, or do I
32:22want it because I want people to see me have it?
32:25Diba?
32:26Like it's so confusing sometimes
32:27So like really
32:29Like auditing your circle
32:30I wish I learned that sooner
32:33And the reason why
32:34I can relate to that
32:35Because at least from people
32:36In my generation
32:38There were principles
32:40That my parents would tell me
32:41And I would roll my eyes
32:43As a child
32:44And they would always say
32:45Tell me who your friends are
32:47And tell you who you are
32:48It's crazy, crazy
32:49But when you reach 30
32:50It makes sense
32:51I'm not saying to shut people off
32:53You don't want to meet new friends
32:55But you know
32:56The people that you allow
32:58To be in your inner circle
33:00The people that you listen
33:01The opinions that you actually listen
33:04Very helpful
33:06Now what are the things
33:08In life
33:09Because you're a work
33:10I mean all of us
33:11Are a work in progress
33:13That you are still
33:14Figuring out
33:17Figuring out
33:18It's really my
33:21It's really my
33:23Self-sabotage
33:24I feel like
33:25I need to overcome this thing
33:28Because I feel like
33:28I need to do
33:29So many things
33:30To deserve something
33:31And initially
33:33I thought
33:33That it's a me problem
33:35But after talk
33:36Now that I have a community
33:38Talking to a lot of women
33:39I feel like
33:39This is a very common conversation
33:41Among women
33:43I don't know
33:43It's probably
33:44Social conditioning
33:45Or why women
33:46Have this kind of issue
33:47About self-trust
33:49Or so much self-doubt
33:50But yes
33:50That is something
33:51That I wish
33:52I could overcome
33:53And there's something
33:55That you
33:56Because you're very consistent
33:57Also about
33:58An environment
33:59An auditing the environment
34:01There's something
34:02That I read
34:03Recently
34:04And I'm grateful
34:05Because your generation
34:06Your generation
34:07Are very good
34:08With coming up with
34:09Jargons that
34:10Our generation
34:11Did not have
34:12Somebody wrote something
34:14Like
34:15Friendship
34:17Breakup
34:17Oh
34:18I mean
34:20I've been through that
34:21Many times
34:22But usually
34:23It becomes unprocessed
34:24Yes
34:25Because you don't
34:26Openly say
34:27That
34:28I'm a girl
34:29You cry over a friend
34:32That's supposed to be
34:33Meant for
34:34A romantic partner
34:36So
34:37Obviously
34:38In the process
34:39Of trying to
34:39Audit
34:40Or auditing
34:41Your environment
34:42There are also
34:43Certain friendships
34:44That you have
34:45To give up
34:47What were your
34:48Hacks also
34:48Or what are your
34:49Hacks also
34:50For our viewers
34:51Who are aware
34:52That I think
34:53I'm not
34:54Surrounded by
34:55The right circle
34:57But
34:57So that's why
34:59They continue
34:59To hang out
35:00With them
35:01Even if
35:02They knew
35:02That this is
35:03Not really
35:04The circle
35:04That will help
35:05Me
35:05Grow
35:06I think
35:07I feel like
35:08If I'll be very honest
35:08I am the wrong
35:09Person to give
35:10Advice
35:11Because
35:11I struggle with
35:13Confrontations
35:13If I am in that
35:16Position
35:17I'll be honest
35:18I'll be honest
35:21I cannot be
35:23Friends with you
35:24Because you are
35:26Not healthy
35:26From my circle
35:27That is so
35:28That's a very weird
35:30Conversation to have
35:31But I think
35:32Like I was saying
35:32A while ago
35:33That being intentional
35:35About building habits
35:36So probably the best
35:37Way to do it
35:38Is start
35:38Building habits
35:40While spending
35:41Time with the
35:42People that
35:43You would feel
35:44That are
35:45Beneficial for you
35:46Or that would help you
35:46Stick to the habit
35:48Like for example
35:49Having a
35:49Running community
35:50So probably
35:52Your friends
35:52Would say
35:52You are a runner
35:53You are a runner
35:54You are not
35:54Hung out
35:56But it should be done
35:58And by the way
35:59When you were saying
36:00That because
36:00I'm also a work
36:02In progress
36:02In that area
36:03But I hear
36:07Ever since
36:08When I was younger
36:09We don't
36:11We don't
36:12Lose
36:12Friends
36:13We just
36:13Know
36:14The real ones
36:15Are
36:16Realized
36:17In a positive
36:18Way
36:18As we also
36:19Grow
36:19In aspects
36:21Of our lives
36:22That we wish
36:23To grow
36:23They really
36:24Are friends
36:25Who cannot
36:25Support that
36:26And so
36:27They just
36:28Drop out
36:28Also
36:29Naturally
36:30In the process
36:30It doesn't
36:31Make them
36:32Bad people
36:35Your values
36:36And your priorities
36:37Just stopped
36:38Aligning
36:39And that's okay
36:40That's okay
36:41And that's
36:42Very good point
36:42That's also
36:43What I tell myself
36:44So if somewhere
36:44Along the way
36:45I'm also being
36:46Dropped
36:47I also
36:48It hurts
36:48It's not
36:49It's not
36:49It's not
36:50It's not
36:51I'm removed
36:52It hurts
36:56But that's also
36:56How I process it
36:57Along the way
36:59There were also
36:59People who dropped
37:00Out of my life
37:01So it's okay
37:02Also
37:02If they dropped
37:03What were
37:07The thoughts
37:08Also
37:09That you learned
37:10Maybe related
37:11No
37:11But I'm hoping
37:12What were
37:14One truth
37:14Also
37:15That you've
37:15Learned
37:16The hard way
37:17The lessons
37:18That are hard
37:20To forget
37:20Are the lessons
37:21We learned
37:22The hard way
37:24I'm not prepared
37:25For this
37:26I think that's
37:27Like really
37:27On top of my head
37:28Because I was still
37:29I was thinking
37:29About it
37:31Building my finances
37:33Because in my 20s
37:35I was just really
37:36Pursuing my passion
37:37After passion
37:38After passion
37:38It was really
37:39Only during the pandemic
37:41I was thinking
37:42I was thinking
37:43I was thinking
37:43I was thinking
37:44I don't have a day
37:44Could have a quarter
37:45Because it's important
37:46To have a quarter
37:47Probably because
37:48I was single
37:49And at that time
37:51I was living with my parents
37:52And then
37:52My job is paying me
37:54Well
37:54And I was able
37:56To do so many things
37:57I was able to do so many things
37:59I was able to do so many things
37:59I was able to do so many things
37:59I was able to do so many things
38:00Gym
38:01Cute outfit
38:02But I was never really thinking
38:03About building my finances
38:06And really
38:07Pandemic brought
38:08Change
38:09To the story of pandemic
38:12And when I was in pandemic
38:13I realized
38:14That I need to build my finances
38:16I need to be financially secure
38:18For my family
38:19Especially
38:19I realized
38:20My parents
38:21They did not
38:23Secure their retirement
38:24So
38:24I wish I learned that sooner
38:26Unfortunately
38:2730s
38:28I realized
38:29But you still learn
38:31We still learn
38:32Correct
38:32That's the beautiful thing
38:33About life
38:34And do you still
38:35Can you put
38:36Because for people
38:37Who are
38:38Out there
38:39And very visible
38:41Do you still
38:42Or do you ever feel
38:44Pressure
38:45Of being
38:46Ann Porter
38:47That people
38:49Expect you
38:50To be online
38:53I used to
38:54Have that pressure
38:55Before
38:55But I always
38:57Have this
38:58Conversation
38:58With myself
38:59And I've done
39:00This before
39:01I just
39:02Burnt out
39:03I'm done
39:04I don't want to
39:04Create content
39:06But I knew
39:07In myself
39:08It was temporary
39:11One way or another
39:13I would be able
39:13To find
39:14My way
39:14To my
39:14Whys
39:15It's helpful
39:16The screenshots
39:18Of the nice
39:19Comments
39:19From people
39:21Like
39:21My technique
39:22Is just
39:23Disappear
39:23For a while
39:25You're okay
39:25To have a break
39:26Like
39:26Actually
39:27The world
39:27Will go on
39:29And continue
39:29If you post
39:30A story
39:31Or you won't
39:32Appear
39:32I'm just so lucky
39:33I also have
39:34An editor
39:34For a very long
39:36Time I was
39:37Editing my videos
39:37And then right now
39:38I also have
39:39An editor
39:39I pay extra
39:41The job
39:42Is
39:44Pressure me
39:45Especially
39:45When I'm not
39:46In the mood
39:46It's part of
39:47Your job description
39:47So
39:48I don't want to
39:50Post your content
39:51I'll repurpose
39:52If I have content
39:53I'll be pleased
39:54Because I'm not in the mood
39:55But that's also
39:56What they call
39:57Accountability partner
39:58Yes
39:58In some way
39:59Can you articulate
40:00More of that
40:01Also about
40:01The importance
40:02Of being
40:03It also comes
40:04With fitness
40:05Correct me
40:05If I'm wrong
40:05I've also heard
40:06People
40:07If you
40:08Declare
40:09Declare
40:09Your goals
40:09In yourself
40:10And you don't
40:11Tell that
40:11To somebody
40:11Else
40:12I think
40:15I did not
40:17Mention
40:17That
40:17The importance
40:18To tell
40:19The people
40:20Or even
40:21People within
40:22Your circle
40:22To your goals
40:24That's very vital
40:25To me
40:25By the way
40:26Because I have
40:26A best friend
40:27She's Julie
40:28And she plays
40:29A very important
40:30Role
40:30In my life
40:31And it kind of
40:33Motivate
40:33To each other
40:35Because I'm going
40:36To tell you
40:36A short story
40:37She
40:37In the pandemic
40:38She had
40:39Breast
40:39Cancer
40:40And she
40:40Told me
40:41Please continue
40:43Training
40:43I know
40:44She hasn't
40:45Operated
40:46And she
40:47Told me
40:47Because
40:48Along the way
40:49After the
40:50Operation
40:51After chemotherapy
40:51After radiation
40:53Please don't
40:56Stop training
40:56So at that
40:57Time
40:58I carried
40:59That responsibility
41:00She could still
41:03Show up
41:04And then
41:04It happened
41:05Especially now
41:06That I'm
41:06Creating
41:07Contents
41:07There's no
41:08Training
41:09Training
41:09You can't
41:10Train
41:11We are really
41:13Helping
41:13We keep
41:14Each other
41:14Accountable
41:15It's a really
41:16Beautiful
41:17Thing to have
41:18That someone
41:19Who keeps you
41:20Accountable
41:20It's a life
41:21Hack
41:21It's a life
41:23Hack
41:23And then
41:24Another life
41:24Hack
41:25Trigger
41:26Here
41:26Also
41:26And by the
41:28Way
41:28Remind us
41:28If we're
41:29Okay
41:30With time
41:30Chica
41:32Chica
41:32Chica
41:32Magmayo
41:32Din
41:34Okay
41:35Chica
41:39Canisad
41:40Daghansad
41:41Kog makita
41:42Aning
41:42Content
41:43Online
41:43And
41:44Extreme
41:45Sila
41:45Some people
41:46They will say
41:47Keep the life
41:48Private
41:48And they're
41:49Also
41:49Are
41:50Content
41:51Creator
41:52And frankly
41:53Speaking
41:53I see
41:54Value
41:54In both
41:55So I
41:55Always
41:56I also
41:56Disagree
41:57The two
41:58Will have
41:58To be
41:59Mutually
41:59Exclusive
42:00I think
42:00There's
42:01There's
42:01A line
42:02Somewhere
42:02How do
42:04You draw
42:04The line
42:05Between
42:05Sharing
42:07Your life
42:08And
42:09Keeping
42:09Your life
42:11Private
42:12Okay
42:13So
42:13I always
42:14Have this
42:16Very small
42:17Rule
42:17When I
42:17Create
42:18Content
42:18Every time
42:19I press
42:20Post
42:21There's only
42:22Two questions
42:22Ako
42:23Ahead
42:23Does this
42:24Make people
42:25Laugh
42:25Or does
42:26This
42:26Give value
42:26To people
42:27So
42:27Anything
42:28Beyond
42:29That
42:31Does
42:31Not
42:32Answer
42:32That
42:32Question
42:33It's
42:33Not
42:34Worth
42:34Posting
42:35So
42:35For
42:35Example
42:37I
42:37Travel
42:37I
42:37Travel
42:38I
42:39Never
42:39Post
42:39I
42:39Don't
42:41Don't
42:41Travel
42:42Picture
42:42What
42:43Value
42:44Does
42:44Give
42:44To
42:45My
42:45Audience
42:45I
42:45Mean
42:45I'm
42:46Not
42:46Judging
42:46Creators
42:47Who
42:47Would
42:47Do
42:47That
42:47It's
42:48Also
42:48Way
42:49Of
42:49Sharing
42:50Experience
42:50And
42:50There
42:51Are
42:51Also
42:51Audience
42:52That
42:52But
42:53That's
42:53Just
42:53A
42:53Simple
42:54Rule
42:54That
42:54I
42:54Set
42:55For
42:55Myself
42:55Does
42:56It
42:56Make
42:56People
42:56Laugh
43:01When I
43:03Set
43:03That
43:03Decision
43:04For
43:04Myself
43:04It
43:05Makes
43:05Content
43:05Creation
43:06Easy
43:07For
43:07Example
43:08I'm
43:08Not
43:08Obligated
43:09To
43:09Share
43:09Life
43:10Life
43:10I'm
43:11Not
43:11Obligated
43:11To
43:12Share
43:12Problem
43:12Sa
43:13Family
43:13Issues
43:14Childhood
43:15Traumas
43:15I
43:15Don't
43:16Have
43:16To
43:16Trauma
43:16Dump
43:16Unless
43:17It
43:18Adds
43:19Value
43:19It
43:20Teach
43:21Them
43:21Important
43:21I'm
43:22Not
43:22Saying
43:22I'm
43:23Hiding
43:23Parents
43:24Family
43:24Sometimes
43:25I
43:25Share
43:25My
43:25Dad
43:26It
43:27Makes
43:27Them
43:27Laugh
43:28But
43:28Beyond
43:29That
43:30I
43:30Have
43:30No
43:30Obligation
43:31To
43:31Share
43:31To
43:31My
43:31Personal
43:32Life
43:32But
43:32I
43:33Think
43:33That
43:33That's
43:34A
43:34Very
43:34Valuable
43:35Hack
43:36To
43:37Draw
43:37The
43:37Line
43:38It
43:38Can
43:38Mean
43:38Different
43:39Ways
43:40But
43:40The
43:40Bottom
43:40Line
43:41Is
43:41It
43:42Adds
43:42Value
43:43That's
43:44Content
43:44For
43:44Others
43:45But
43:45They're
43:45Also
43:46Content
43:46That's
43:46Just
43:47For
43:47Ourselves
43:47So
43:48If
43:49It
43:49Doesn't
43:49Add
43:49Value
43:49Regardless
43:50of
43:50Whatever
43:50Then
43:50Don't
43:51You
43:52Don't
43:52Need
43:52To
43:52See
43:52OOTD
43:53For
43:53The
43:53Day
43:54Unless
43:55If
43:55It
43:55Also
43:55Adds
43:56Value
43:56Unless
43:57I
43:57Appelate
43:57Link
44:00So
44:00Now
44:00We're
44:01Celebrating
44:01National
44:02Women's
44:02Month
44:03Although
44:03We
44:04Hope
44:04That
44:04It
44:04Should
44:05Not
44:05Have
44:05Been
44:05Just
44:06A
44:06Month
44:06It
44:07Should
44:07Be
44:07A
44:07Whole
44:07Year
44:08But
44:09When
44:15It's
44:16Really
44:17Empowering
44:18Women
44:19And
44:19Really
44:20Making
44:20Them
44:22Aware
44:22Of
44:22The
44:22Opportunities
44:23That
44:23They
44:24Have
44:24Because
44:24We
44:25Live
44:25In
44:25An
44:25Exciting
44:26Times
44:26When
44:26Women
44:27Are
44:27Not
44:28Put
44:28In
44:28A
44:28Certain
44:29Box
44:29I
44:29Know
44:30That
44:30Conversation
44:30Has
44:31Changed
44:31Over
44:32The
44:32Years
44:32It's
44:32Not
44:32Like
44:33Three
44:34Decades
44:34Ago
44:34There
44:36Is
44:37Very
44:37Limited
44:37Access
44:38To
44:38Opportunities
44:39Compared
44:40To
44:40Men
44:40I
44:40Mean
44:41Napagya
44:41Po
44:41The
44:42Fight
44:42Is
44:43Still
44:43Ong
44:43Going
44:44In
44:44Some
44:44Are
44:44But
44:45The
44:45Scenario
44:46Has
44:47Changed
44:47A
44:48Lot
44:48But
44:48Sometimes
44:49We
44:49Women
44:50Still
44:50Have
44:50This
44:50Self
44:51Limiting
44:52Belief
44:52We
44:53Just
44:53Need
44:54To
44:54Be
44:54Aware
44:54That
44:54So
44:54Much
44:55Opportunity
44:55Is
44:55There
44:56For
44:56Us
44:56And

45:04Different
45:05Compared
45:06To
45:06Before
45:07I
45:08Think
45:08What
45:09I
45:11Opportunities
45:12For
45:12Us
45:12And
45:13Women
45:13Are
45:13No
45:13Longer
45:15Trapped
45:15In
45:15This
45:15Box
45:16What
45:16A
45:17Woman
45:17Should
45:17Be
45:18But
45:18Also
45:19What
45:20Is
45:21Expectation
45:21Towards
45:22Women
45:22We
45:22Feel
45:22Like
45:23We
45:23Have
45:23This
45:24Pressure
45:24To
45:25Do
45:25Everything
45:25All
45:26At
45:26Once
45:26We
45:27Need
45:27To
45:27Be
45:27A
45:27Good
45:27Mom
45:28But
45:28At
45:28The
45:28Same
45:28Time
45:28We
45:29Need
45:29To
45:29Be
45:29Pretty
45:29As
45:29If
45:30We're
45:30Not
45:30Stressed
45:30And
45:31Also
45:31At
45:31The
45:31Same
45:31Time
45:32We
45:32Need
45:32To
45:32Be
45:32Fit
45:36And
45:39For
45:40These
45:40Pressures
45:41Where
45:41Do
45:42You
45:42Think
45:42This
45:43One
45:43Which
45:44Is
45:44Related
45:44To
45:45Audit
45:46The

45:46Are
45:47These
45:48Also
45:48Pressures
45:49Women

45:49That
45:50Comes

46:01Very
46:01Important
46:02Role
46:02But
46:02The
46:03Societal
46:04Expectations
46:04Of

46:06Apart
46:07Because
46:07Especially
46:08I don't
46:08I'm
46:09Not sure
46:10How
46:11You
46:11Can

46:13How
46:13Children
46:14Now
46:14Are

46:15Women
46:16At
46:17At

46:17We
46:18Are

46:22We

46:29Also

46:31Because
46:31It's
46:31Easy
46:31It's
46:32So
46:32Easy
46:33To
46:33Compare
46:33Lives
46:34In
46:34Social
46:34Media
46:35And
46:35Sometimes
46:35We
46:35Forget
46:36That
46:36People
46:36Are

46:43Then
46:43Compare
46:44Your

46:45Which
46:45Gives
46:46You
46:47An
46:47Illusion
46:48That
46:48Your
46:48Life
46:49Is

46:49And
46:50Everyone
46:50Else

47:36And I

48:12And
48:12The
48:12Importance
48:12Of
48:12That
48:13What
48:13Do
48:13You

48:15That
48:16Women
48:16Need
48:17To
48:17Have
48:17More
48:18Of
48:18I
48:19Think
48:20Making

48:21You
48:21Are

48:28That's
48:29Why
48:29I
48:29Always
48:30Encourage
48:30Confidence
48:31Because
48:31Confidence
48:32Where
48:33Confidence
48:33Comes
48:33From
48:34Is
48:34Like

48:36Yourself
48:37That
48:37You
48:37Are

48:38So
48:38Many
48:38Things
48:38Is
48:39Very
48:39Important
48:40And
48:40That's

49:14I
49:14Think
49:14This
49:14Is
49:15Very
49:15Related
49:15To
49:16What
49:16We

49:41So
49:42The
49:43Event
49:43Is
49:43Actually
49:44I
49:44Have

49:59Can
50:00Affect

50:00Especially
50:01It's
