00:10a farmer is found shot to death in what appears to be a planned hit I didn't know the smell
00:18of
00:18gunpowder in your house and that's a smell I will never forget he had extensive trauma to
00:26the left and middle of his face there was a perfect angle from the front porch down to
00:34the couch in the basement we also found tracks around the house it truly was as much of a hit
00:41as I have ever seen but in this small Midwest town anyone could be the wolf in sheep's clothing
00:56did you have anything to do with the murder they all know they have better things to do
01:02the investigation reveals a toxic family dynamic and the measures one person would take to conceal
01:10their misdeeds he had been threatening to turn them in for welfare fraud two days before the
01:19homicide he was texting I promise you he will not make it till Monday morning
01:48March 10th 2014 it's just after midnight in
01:53barren wisconsin when police receive an urgent 911 call tiffany workman called 911 reporting her
02:03boyfriend daniel raven had injuries to his shoulder
02:12i remember talking to the emergency lady and she said does he have a heartbeat and I remember putting
02:19him in my cheek on his forehead and I couldn't feel anything I said he was still warm
02:40our dispatchers immediately sent an ambulance but also officers because the caller was very hysterical at the time
02:49tiffany tells the deputy she and Dan had an argument that night so he'd gone to sleep on the couch
02:55in their game room
03:01a short while later she was awakened by a loud noise I remember hearing a slam and I walked out
03:11and the glass on the screen door was broke so why is there blood everywhere she went downstairs and saw
03:20mr.
03:22raven on the couch and when she approached him she could see that there was definitely something wrong
03:26with him I'm not a hunter I didn't know the smell of gunpowder in your house and that's a smell
03:34I will never forget
03:41the deputy escorts EMTs inside where they find a bloody scene the first responder determined
03:51immediately that Dan Raven was deceased it was obvious that he had extensive trauma to his upper left
04:00bicep and there were also significant injuries to his face several more deputies are dispatched to
04:07secure the area on the ground outside the broken glass doors they find two empty shell casings the
04:20spent rounds were obviously from a long rifle versus a pistol or a shotgun we knew with the casings
04:28outside and the victim downstairs it was going to be a homicide investigation I didn't realize that he
04:38was actually dead I didn't know I was under the impression that you guys are here to help him
04:44you're gonna get him out of here and you're gonna save him and he's gonna be fine
04:54Daniel Raven had lived nearly his entire life in rural Wisconsin he was born February 16th 1981 the
05:04youngest of three children raised on a dairy farm we were all close we had lots of friends lots of
05:11family we spent many hours in our barn I'm just working playing we go camping we go fishing we'd play
05:21out in the pasture we lived on a farm so you made up your own fun Dan's dad was a
05:28hard worker he instilled
05:30that in Dan because Dan was an extremely hard worker as well Dan's first job I believe he was a
05:36sophomore in high school and he worked as a dairy's aide basically milking milking cows
05:48between work and his studies Dan was extremely busy but he made time for a beautiful young woman
05:55named Trista Rayback like Dan she'd grown up in the area in a close-knit family Trista was in our
06:04social
06:04circle in high school and that's how we all kind of started hanging out together they eventually
06:12started dating they would go hiking and four-wheeling and just they loved to be together she just had a
06:20way about her she could she could get anything she wanted a few years later Trista announced that she
06:31was pregnant he was surprised and and very happy his daughter was actually born a couple months before
06:39my oldest daughter and a couple years later then come little boy and Dan was happy he was very happy
06:51after seven years together and two children Dan and Trista decided to make it official in 2005
07:01when I heard they were getting married I went up to Dan and asked him are you sure from what
07:07Dan
07:08told me they fought quite a bit and argued and he said yeah I you know wanted to start a
07:13family but
07:14you know he already had kids with her Dan loved his kids he he would take them hunting and fishing
07:22and tried to spend as much time as he could with them a few years later Dan and Trista embarked
07:29on a new
07:30venture together running a cafe within the local livestock auction building it was uh the the restaurant's uh
07:40bullwhip cafe at the uh sales bar in uh baron wisconsin i believe they got it from her parents or
07:49her mother had ran it and they did good there for a while
07:58now in their early 30s the stress of running a restaurant and raising a family took a toll on Dan
08:06and Trista's marriage
08:08there were many times he would call upset or I could tell he was upset because he'd struggle
08:16most married people do they all have their their problems but the more he tried the more difficult
08:24everything became it just it wasn't working
08:30them fighting not seeing each other making amends getting back together it was just a cycle off and on
08:38I thought that that was the final straw and Dan would finally be like this this woman doesn't love me
08:44he
08:45wasn't happy and then he moved out he got his own place after eight years as a married couple Dan
08:55and Trista divorced in 2013 they shared custody of their children but Dan was saddened by the limited time
09:07he got to spend with them Dan managed the turkey barks he was up from sunup to sundown that farm
09:14was all
09:15he ever did he didn't get a chance to do a whole lot because he was always at the farm
09:20he went through
09:22uh a period of depression then he went through a period of you know drinking kind of heavily um towards
09:32the end of it but he was sad about the whole thing
09:40Dan's life seemed to take a turn for the better when he met Tiffany Workman I met Dan through work
09:48um we kind of built a friendship through there he kind of grew up in a kind of a similar
09:54farm
09:54background life we just kind of hit it off when he met Tiffany it was nice to see him feeling
10:02good
10:03and you know just being happy with life like Dan Tiffany was divorced with two children of her own
10:13they moved into a house together on the farm where they worked he was always equal with my kids just
10:20the
10:20same as he was with his and I think that was amazing we kind of blended really well she was
10:25doing wonders
10:26on him because he was so happy and I don't know he just seemed to be back in his groove
10:32the storm was over
10:39but Tiffany has just found Dan shot to death and detectives are analyzing the scene to determine
10:46what happened there was a perfect angle from the front porch that you could see down to the couch in
10:55the basement
10:56somebody walked up to the outside of the door did not attempt to make entry fired two rounds through the
11:03door
11:05making what would be perfect shots at a victim lying defenseless
11:13we also found tracks leading up from the roadway and around the house where the person appeared to
11:19be trying to observe the residence before moving into position and making the shots it also showed us that
11:29the person parked out on the roadway and walked up along a tree line to conceal their identity
11:42after inspection of the house it was in our belief there was some sort of connection between the
11:48shooter and the victim it wasn't random it truly was as much of a hit as I have ever seen
11:55Tiffany was the first one on scene the only one awake in the residence
12:06they bring Tiffany to the station for further questioning
12:11they started asking me all questions like what happened what did what did you do and it's like
12:16what did I do I did I didn't even know what's going on I informed her that Dan was in
12:25fact deceased
12:27where she began sobbing and crying and became very emotional and it was quite apparent she was not aware
12:34that he had passed away I just wish this was a dream sometimes people can be pretty good actors but
12:44in
12:44her case she was really distraught and based on her reaction to what happened it really didn't seem
12:49like she was the person who was involved or had anything to do with it but she never really know
12:58coming up police question Tiffany about the events leading up to Dan's murder who do you think is
13:07capable of this and evidence surfaces of a scheme at play shortly before he got killed Dan showed me a
13:19stack of papers about this thick that he had on her the Barron County Sheriff's Department is
13:42investigating the murder of 33 year old turkey farmer Daniel Raven with his girlfriend Tiffany ruled
13:50out as a suspect they hope she can offer further leads they asked her to describe what happened the
14:00evening before the shooting Tiffany said on Sunday evening around 6 30 7 p.m. she had picked up her
14:11two
14:12children from her ex-husband who had visitation over the weekend when she came back to the residence
14:19Daniel is downstairs watching television he had a few drinks we'd had an argument earlier that day
14:28which was wild because we never argued before and I remember thinking this is just weird like something
14:33weird is going on and he's like I'm not coming down yet she reported that was the last time she
14:44seen him
14:44alive the evidence appears to support Tiffany's claims we could not find a gun in the residence nor
14:59where were there tracks that would indicate it may have been taken somewhere and dumped if it wasn't
15:05her who could it be what has been going on
15:10who do you think is capable you know of this the only person I know that I would think is
15:20capable
15:20is my ex
15:24him and I had a lot of rough patches I guess it would be the best way to say it
15:31we had domestic
15:33issues I was scared of him she stated that he was working typically out of state but and stated that
15:42he had been in Barron County on the weekend of this homicide but Tiffany says she isn't the only one
15:51who has a disgruntled acts she described the contentious divorce and child support hearings
16:07between Dan Raven and Trista Rayback November of 2013 his attorney had sent a letter a court hearing to
16:19requesting a change in support because Dan was paying I think two hundred fifty six dollars a
16:24month and wanted it reduced because Trista had been making more money than she reported
16:33the plan was is he was supposed to go to court with Trista that week and they were going to
16:38bring
16:38that all forward because he had talked to a lawyer he had everything all lined up and that was upsetting
16:44Trista when Dan had brought Trista to court he had told me you know Tiff if anything ever happens
16:52it's it's her it's Trista
16:59following the interview police find plenty of evidence to back up Tiffany's claims
17:06Dan and Trista had a lot of ongoing small complaints about each other violations of the child
17:16custody and contacting each other in a negative sense he had custody 50 50 custody of the kids with
17:25Trista he also paid child support but Dan claimed Trista went to extreme lengths to get more Dan had
17:35told me she was falsifying records to make it look like she wasn't making any income to continue to try
17:42to bleed him as much as she could shortly before he got killed Dan came up and showed me a
17:50stack of
17:50papers about this thick that he had on her food stamps lying on taxes he was accusing her of under
18:01reporting and non-reporting income to the court which forced Dan Raven to get an attorney and hold more
18:07hearings Daniel was killed before the issue could go to court and Trista was never charged with any crime
18:19Daniel's loved ones are devastated to learn of his death and they all agree with Tiffany everyone
18:27consistently kept mentioning Trista's name and Trista having something to do with this crime but before
18:36speaking with Trista detectives first want to rule out Tiffany's ex-husband
18:43Tiffany's ex told us that he had the kids on the day prior to the homicide and he dropped the
18:50kids off with
18:51Tiffany in the afternoon and then from there just out drinking around 2 2 30 in the morning he turned
18:56in for the night
18:57he was adamant that he had no involvement we then followed up with all the names and establishments
19:05that the ex-husband provided and all of the leads that he gave us panned out for him
19:14Tiffany's ex is officially ruled out and of their three possible suspects detectives are now left with one
19:23what Tiffany said and the history that officers already knew we definitely believed we knew we
19:30had to look at Trista very closely
19:50before approaching Trista Rayback about her conflict with Dan Raven over child support
19:56investigators speak with his family to learn more about their history
20:02Dan had called me up and he was cleaning out his blazer and he found a sawed-off shotgun under
20:09the
20:09seat that he believes and I believe that she planted there to try to get him into trouble
20:16Dan had a felony in his past so he would get caught for a felon in possession of a firearm
20:22which could have easily sent him to prison for two years
20:30the incident wasn't reported formally so no charges were pressed against Trista however Dan had responded by
20:39threatening to turn Trista in for what he claimed was criminal fraud regarding the misapplication of food stamps
20:48he told me she was using food stamps Wisconsin food stamps to pay for food for the restaurant after they
20:56had broken up and that's the only way she couldn't afford to keep the restaurant going
21:03Daniel claimed Trista had not been reporting that income I think a lot of it was just empty empty threats
21:11about turning her in for that stuff it was just kind of his way to kind of get back at
21:16her
21:21Detectives soon receive a new lead
21:23The Barron County Sheriff's Department was contacted by a caseworker from the Department of Health and Human Services
21:29She told the communications center that she had important information that might be relevant to the case
21:36The social worker says she was asked to interview Trista Rayback and her new live-in boyfriend Ian Shirley
21:43After a complaint filed by Ian's ex-wife
21:48I had made a report
21:51against Ian and Trista
21:53shortly before everything happened just from things that my girls were saying
21:58Trista kind of ignored them when they were there like acted like they didn't exist
22:04I know that the girls had to sleep on the floor
22:09I was happy for my dad at first because he was really hung up on my mom for a long
22:14time afterwards so I was glad he was kind of moving on
22:18Later on she started to I don't know really show that she didn't really like me and my sister
22:25Trista is very manipulative because your feelings aren't important to her really it's her way or no way
22:32She would try to hit my dad he wasn't allowed to defend himself
22:36She would come wake us up in the middle of the night and drag us into their fights
22:44It seems Ian and Trista's fights were about her ex-husband Dan
22:49And during the interviews Ian said something alarming
22:54As she was interviewing Ian Shirley about his actions living with Trista Rayback
23:01Shirley made an off-handed comment that the quickest and easiest way to end this conflict is to kill Dan
23:08Rayman
23:13Armed with this new information
23:15Detectives subpoena phone records for both Ian and Trista
23:21While the request is being processed
23:23Investigators track down the couple at a local restaurant two days after the shooting
23:29They pull Ian outside to question him
23:34How did you guys get along with either Tiffany or Dan?
23:38I talked the only time I ever talked to Dan was the very first time I ever met Trista
23:44Okay a little more than two years ago
23:47Do you have anything to do with the murder of Dan Rayman?
23:50Hell no
23:50I have better things to do
23:56Ian claims he and Trista were out together the night Dan was killed
24:02On March 9th he and Trista had went to a local bar
24:05He said at what I recall to be 8.30, 9 p.m. at night
24:09They were planning on traveling to rural New Auburn
24:13Which is approximately 20 miles away
24:17Do you like to go there and get some heat?
24:20We just walked out there and realized it's about serving at 9
24:29He told us if we checked their cameras we could see that he had not left the residence
24:34Ian also told us that he had only learned of Dan Rayman's death at approximately 6 a.m. the next
24:40morning
24:42When he said his phone blew up by everybody asking what happened
24:49After speaking with Ian in the parking lot we went inside the cafe and met with Trista in the back
25:13Trista downplays any recent tension between herself and Dan
25:31When asked directly if she was involved with Dan's death
25:35She indicated there was no way that she would be responsible
25:42But detectives aren't convinced
25:45The story was too rehearsed
25:48If the story wasn't as rehearsed it would have made it more believable
25:52Which did not take them off the suspect list
25:56It actually pushed them higher
25:59What should happen personally?
26:02Convention clock
26:04I think
26:05I think
26:08We should go down the same way
26:15However, investigators need more to be able to press any charges
26:20We didn't have the physical evidence to tie Trista in without a confession at this time
26:25We needed more
26:26So when the cell phone records came in
26:29Detectives immediately started combing through them
26:33We noticed immediately text messages between Trista Rayback and Ian Shirley that were relevant to this case
26:40They were chilling
26:42It was something I had never seen before
26:49Coming up
26:50A murder plot unfolds
26:53The persuasion
26:56Threats
26:57Violence
26:58It was all spelled out
27:00And one of the co-conspirators decides to come clean
27:04All right
27:06I'm screwed
27:27Within 48 hours of Dan Raven's murder
27:31Barron County detectives have uncovered cell phone records implicating his ex-wife Trista Rayback and her boyfriend Ian Shirley
27:41The text records indicated that there had been multiple previous attempts
27:47Where Ian had went to the turkey farm to murder Dan Raven but it backed out
27:56With every failed attempt Trista turned up the heat
28:01She was very upset to the point where she was threatening to leave him if he didn't go through with
28:07killing Dan Raven
28:09Two days before the homicide Ian was texting Trista saying I promise you he will not make it till Monday
28:18morning
28:19And Trista replied by saying don't make me promises you can't keep
28:24The persuasion
28:27The persuasion
28:28Threats
28:28Violence
28:30It was all spelled out in text messages
28:33That I've never seen before
28:38The texts are chilling
28:40But they also reveal another co-conspirator
28:43While we're analyzing the text messages
28:46Because we identify a third suspect
28:49What we presume to be a driver
28:54The text message said tell RB that we'll give him an extra $100
28:59If we can get this done tonight
29:03Ian had received a text message from RB at approximately 1054 PM the night of the murder that he was
29:12on his way
29:13Less than an hour and a half after this text message is received Daniel is dead
29:20We take steps to try and identify who he is through his phone number
29:23Ultimately he's identified as Robert McBain
29:27With no apparent connection to the current suspects investigators track him down
29:35Detectives went and located him at his place of work in the village of Cameron in Barron County
29:40And initially Robert McBain denies being involved in the homicide
29:44But you know we're holding some pretty good cards with the text messages
29:48And so we start revealing some of that information to basically indicate that he's lying
29:54And so he starts to give a little bit more information back
29:59He stated that he was friends with Ian Shirley and Trista Rayback
30:04He described how they would hang out together and have a few beers and drinks
30:07After work and on the weekends
30:10He recalled Ian commenting several times while they were drinking
30:15That they wished Dan was dead
30:37Robert says he didn't think they were serious
30:40But eventually agreed to act as Ian's driver
30:45He stated that he had actually went with Ian Shirley
30:48On at least six previous attempts to the turkey farm
30:52With intent to kill Dan Raven
30:53He said typically Ian would back out
30:58But the night of March 10th when Ian got out of the car
31:01Robert says he looked determined
31:07What did Ian do when you let him out there?
31:10Well, it was a gentleman
31:20He admitted to hearing two gunshots
31:22I was like, what the hell
31:26Because now you realize he did it
31:28Yeah
31:28I was like, holy
31:29I never thought of any years he'd actually do it
31:36After the shooting, he had followed Ian's directions
31:39Where they stopped at a nearby bridge
31:41And had hid and concealed the rifle used in this murder
31:47McBain told the story
31:49McBain told the story, very believably
31:51About hiding the murder weapon
31:53Underneath the bridge
31:55Which detectives later found
32:22At the end of the interview
32:25McBain was arrested and taken to the Barron County Jail
32:29For party to a crime of homicide
32:34After McBain basically verified what we knew
32:37But was able to put himself at the scene
32:40And not just himself, but Ian Shirley
32:42As the man who truly pulled the trigger
32:45It was then time to go back
32:47And meet with Ian Shirley again
33:08After damning text messages
33:10And a confession from the getaway driver
33:14Detectives confront Ian Shirley
33:15About killing Dan Raven
33:19He knew he was, he was done
33:21He knew that he was caught
33:23You gotta understand
33:24For us to be able to help you
33:27You gotta be straight up with us
33:29Okay
33:30Well there ain't no help
33:32Um, yeah, I did
33:35I'm screwed
33:38Ian says Trista was desperate
33:41To get rid of Dan
33:43Ian told us
33:44Dan had been threatening
33:45To turn them in for food stamp
33:47And welfare fraud
33:49And Trista was afraid
33:51She was going to go to federal prison
33:55So if Dan is out of the picture
33:57That stuff stops
33:58Is what you're saying?
34:00It's because Cortese is dropped
34:04He described several different times
34:06Of McBain driving him
34:09To the residence
34:10Getting dropped off
34:11But never actually pulled the trigger
34:14I didn't go back home
34:16With some piss for an excuse
34:17Of why I couldn't do it
34:18Or whatever
34:19Because I didn't want to
34:21But Ian says Trista
34:23Didn't give him much choice
34:26Um
34:28It was either that
34:30Or she committed suicide
34:32She jumped all over me
34:33And said
34:35Hey, you know
34:36If I ain't done
34:37By tomorrow morning
34:37I ain't going to work
34:38And by the time you get done
34:40I won't be here
34:42It was kill Dan
34:43Or lose her
34:45And he didn't want to lose her
34:51According to Ian
34:53March 10th would be his last chance
34:55To get the job done
34:57Trista knew her children
34:59Wouldn't be there
34:59So he didn't have to worry about them
35:03He took a .30-06 rifle
35:05With open sights
35:06And they drove to the turkey farm
35:09Shirley goes to the residence
35:11And sees Raven
35:12Sitting on a couch
35:14In the lower level
35:26Ian says he went back to the car
35:28But knew he couldn't fail Trista again
35:32This was his chance
35:34To say it didn't work
35:35But they went down the road
35:37He cleared what appeared to be a jam
35:40Got the rifle ready to go
35:42And had McBain drive him back
35:45After I reloaded
35:47And I went back up there
35:47I stood out the side of the door
35:49For a little bit
35:51And I didn't know what to do there
35:53So I just
35:54Left it
35:55Shut my eye
35:56And let it fly
35:57He was unsure
35:59Of where he struck Daniel
36:00Or if he struck Daniel
36:02Because of how nervous he was
36:09As they drove away
36:10Ian says Trista texted them updates
36:13As she listened to a police scanner
36:17So she basically knew
36:18Based off the scanner
36:19That he was deceased
36:27He said once back at his house
36:29He went through the woods
36:31And walked in this rear door
36:33That was out of view of the cameras
36:35He said that the surveillance cameras
36:38That he and Trista had installed
36:40Were actually a ruse
36:41He said they planned the installation
36:43And this walkway being out of view
36:46As part of their ruse
36:48So that it would support their alibi
36:50As to being home
36:52After hearing Ian's confession
36:54He matched the crime scene
36:56Caliber of the rifle recovered
36:58And the two bullet casings matched
36:59It matched footprints
37:01That originally we noticed
37:03In the snow along the edge
37:04Of the driveway
37:05And where a vehicle had parked
37:06On the roadway
37:08Alongside the driveway
37:10He was placed under arrest
37:11And subsequently charged
37:13With first degree
37:15Intentional homicide
37:15Of Dan Raven
37:19After the full confessions
37:20Of Robert McBain
37:21And Ian Shirley
37:22Trista Brayback
37:23Was arrested
37:24And transported
37:25To the Barron County Jail
37:29She didn't know
37:30I could say bye
37:31To her first
37:31She is already
37:33Being in office
37:34Trista Brayback
37:35Was also charged
37:37With first degree
37:38Intentional homicide
37:39Of Dan Raven
37:39As party to the crime
37:42Trista's initial response
37:43To officers
37:44When being arrested
37:45Was
37:45Why am I being arrested
37:47I didn't do anything
37:50But even with
37:52Confessions
37:53From her co-conspirators
37:54Prosecutors know
37:56Holding Trista accountable
37:57Could be an uphill battle
37:59Trista had her
38:02Right to an attorney
38:03And had not confessed
38:04She believes
38:06Because she didn't
38:18Following their confessions
38:20Ian Shirley and Robert McBain
38:22Plead guilty
38:24To second degree
38:25Intentional homicide
38:27Ian is sentenced
38:28To 20 years in prison
38:30And Robert receives
38:3115 years
38:33As we continued
38:35To interview
38:36The outlying people
38:38That were involved
38:39From bar patrons
38:40To friends
38:41To family
38:42The most consistent word
38:44I think I heard
38:45In interviews
38:46Was evil
38:48And that's a word
38:49That people use
38:50To describe
38:51Trista
38:52Was evil
38:58Ian's family
38:59Provides some
39:00Scathing testimony
39:02She was behind this
39:04You know
39:05Ian pulled the trigger
39:06And he needs
39:07To be in trouble
39:08For that
39:08But this was not
39:09His idea
39:10Never
39:11Before I even knew
39:12Who Dan was
39:13And her kids
39:15Knew it too
39:15That she hated
39:16Their dad
39:17She was pretty
39:18Manipulative
39:19She had just
39:21Changed who he was
39:22As a person
39:23Anyone who knows him
39:25Knows that
39:26He would have never
39:27Done something like this
39:29He had moved
39:30Out of his house
39:31He had sold
39:32Everything that he
39:33Owned
39:34And pretty much
39:35Gave himself to Trista
39:36It had gotten bad
39:38To where
39:39I don't think
39:40He seen much
39:41Of a way out
39:43You know
39:44I've heard her
39:45Threaten suicide
39:46A few times
39:47During their fights
39:48I think that's
39:49Another manipulation
39:50Tactic too
39:53Both Ian Shirley
39:55And Robert McBain
39:56Were easily
39:57Manipulated
39:59Ian had described
40:00Dan Raven
40:01As being a nice guy
40:02But was aware
40:04That Trista
40:04Did not like him
40:05And wanted him
40:06Out of the picture
40:07Robert McBain
40:08Said he had never
40:10Even met
40:10Dan Raven
40:11Personally
40:12But simply knew
40:13Of Trista Rayback's
40:15Hatred toward him
40:16It was apparent
40:17That Trista Rayback
40:19Was actually
40:20The mastermind
40:24But without
40:25Any direct evidence
40:26Of Trista's involvement
40:28Prosecutors are worried
40:29She might be exonerated
40:31So
40:32They make
40:33A difficult decision
40:35There are always fears
40:37Of taking your case
40:39To a jury trial
40:39Especially since
40:40Trista
40:41Had not confessed
40:43And was blaming
40:44Ian
40:45For his actions
40:46And McBain
40:47Just going along
40:48With it
40:52Trista's attorneys
40:53Seem equally concerned
40:54About risking
40:55A jury trial
40:56So they accept
40:57A plea deal
41:00In February of 2015
41:02Trista was sentenced
41:03To 15 years
41:05Of initial confinement
41:06With 10 years
41:07On extended supervision
41:11When I heard my dad's sentence
41:13I wasn't surprised
41:14By 20 years
41:16But I think Trista
41:17Should have gotten
41:18At least the same
41:18As my dad
41:19At minimum
41:21The fact that you can
41:22Plan
41:23And I can say that
41:24Plan
41:25A murder
41:26Like that
41:27And get people involved
41:28Not just once
41:30But to try it
41:31Multiple times
41:31And then you get
41:3315 years in jail
41:34I mean
41:35What kind of joke
41:36Is that
41:38I don't think
41:38Any sentence
41:39Would have been
41:39Fair enough for me
41:40Honestly
41:41It's not
41:42For me to judge
41:43It's not really
41:44Even a judge
41:45To judge
41:45But I don't think
41:47It was fair
41:51Every year
41:52Me and
41:53You know
41:54My cousins
41:55My friends
41:55We get together
41:57We have a guys
41:57Camping weekend
41:58Where Dan's ashes
41:59Are spread
42:00And just hang out
42:01With Dan
42:02You know
42:02And talk about
42:03Old times
42:04There's a memorial
42:05Out there
42:06For Dan
42:07And we go out
42:08There every year
42:08Camping
42:09Just to kind of
42:10Spend time
42:11With them
42:12I feel like
42:13Dan's been there
42:14For me
42:14A few times
42:15And I try to live
42:17As best as I can
42:18For him
42:19I feel like
42:20He's watching
42:20Over me still
42:23I just want him
42:24To be remembered
42:24For
42:25Not the hard times
42:27That him and Trista
42:28Went through
42:29But the good times
42:31I remember him
42:32And I will always
42:33Remember him
42:35I sentir
42:36Bye
42:50I will always
42:50Come here
42:50And you
42:51I don't know
42:54He'll Aber이다
