00:00Sporting clubs, you know, they provide that gathering point, that support network, I suppose,
00:05and probably a sense of community and pride as well.
00:11So we felt like we needed to move to a two-team competition
00:13so that our young local players could have more opportunities to play and get a game.
00:18So we applied to the NTFA and worked really hard to build a good culture for the club.
00:24There was a few key people that worked really hard, that really had long ties with the club
00:30and believed that a town like Campbelltown, a regional town, needs a sporting club
00:37and I think, yeah, they worked really hard to bring, to engage some of those young people back into the
00:44club.
00:44We really focused on becoming a family club, made sure that we were inviting people to bring their kids along,
00:50their grandparents, their aunties and uncles, and really focused on making it a community club.
00:55I think that was a big key in the success in bringing people in.
01:00So I think that sense of unity helps keep people in the towns, it helps with connection,
01:07it helps with keeping people that will then volunteer, they'll then contribute,
01:12they'll then invest in the future of the town.
