00:00It was probably technically the most challenging thing that I've done on this show.
00:05Yeah.
00:06And, yeah, audiences, hold on. You're in for a while.
00:10You are. You really are.
00:11Good to see you guys.
00:12Very good. Very nice to meet you, finally.
00:14Yes, right at the very end.
00:16How do you guys feel knowing that you might never be part of a show this bonkers and wild and
00:25unhinged again?
00:26Like, because The Boys was, it kind of set the bar.
00:31It's special. It's special, and I'm really grateful.
00:35I feel like that's a, I'm so happy, I feel like we talk about this a lot, like, I'm so
00:39happy that we knew this was our final season going into it.
00:42You know, because so often with shows now, you find out you're done, and, you know, whatever the last season
00:48was, that's the ending, I guess.
00:50But it was really nice to go in, film the last season, knowing it was the last season.
00:54It's Eric's intended ending for the show.
00:56So we just got to just take it all in and really, you know, really relish those moments of, you
01:02know, it sounds insane, but, like, I'm covered in blood again.
01:05And I'm like, I really got to take this in because it might be the last time.
01:08You know, it's really, it's surreal.
01:11But I think it went amazingly, and it was great to really take that ride one last time with these
01:17guys.
01:17Yeah, how did you, how do you say goodbye to a character that's been part of your life for so
01:23long?
01:23It's tricky.
01:24I mean, in many ways, I don't feel like I really have said a goodbye.
01:27I don't have to, you know.
01:29You know, the character is, in some ways, an extension of myself, just with various, you know, volumes turned up
01:37or down, depending on.
01:39But, you know, I just feel incredibly grateful to have been a part of this show.
01:45And the satisfaction for me always comes at the end of the day when you can stand back with, you
01:49know, the cast and the crew and be proud of the work you've done.
01:53And certainly with the boys, it's been a game changer in terms of the landscape of television.
01:58The things that we've done, the things that we've gotten away with, there's no other show like it.
02:03And it's just great to finish on our own terms.
02:05I think that's why everyone's so sad.
02:06It's like, when will we see TV like this again?
02:09But you have set the bar, so like, it does open the doors, obviously.
02:12I guess so, yeah.
02:14For better or worse.
02:15Were there any kind of standout, crazy moments that you guys were involved in filming for season five?
02:20Not to get into without really telling anything.
02:23Spoiler heavy, but yeah, all I can say is the finale is just, it's bonkers.
02:28It's really, it's a lot.
02:30Technically the most challenging thing that I've done on this show.
02:34Yeah.
02:36And yeah, audiences, hold on.
02:39You're in for a while.
02:40You are, you really are.
02:42It's, well, the craziest thing about this season is, Eric has said this, you know, no character is safe.
02:50And so, you know, typically we read a boy's script and we're like, whoa, I can't believe we're doing this
02:54crazy thing.
02:54And now in season five, we read these scripts and, you know, characters do meet their, their end.
03:03And reacting to that is, that was the most shocking part for me.
03:06It was like, oh, wow, they're doing that to such and such.
03:10You know, and then what that means is it's like, you know, the characters leaving, but also the actor as
03:18well.
03:18So it's, it's just, it's odd.
03:21It's just, it's very emotional because we know these people so well.
03:25But yeah, it's just, it's shocking.
03:26It really is.
03:27Well done doing that without saying any names and spoiling anything.
03:30I feel like you're well versed in non-spoilery stuff.
03:33I hope so.
03:34I hope I'm not ruining everything right now.
03:36Absolutely.
03:37You're on the homestretch.
03:38Nice.
03:39Fans are very much though, like, they're like, I will not be satisfied unless I see a Homelander, Butcher, Showdown,
03:48like fight to the death.
03:49I don't know what happens, like, thankfully.
03:52So I can't spoil it.
03:53But are you satisfied with the endings for your characters without giving anything away?
03:59Are you happy?
04:00And is it how you imagined it would be?
04:02Yes, I am satisfied with my characters' ending.
04:06I am.
04:07Good.
04:07I'm just trying to word this so carefully.
04:10I'm not trying to catch you out.
04:12No, no, no.
04:13Yeah, listen, I feel like Eric Kripke and his team of writers have done a wonderful job of landing the
04:18plane.
04:20Yeah.
04:20And, you know, I think more importantly, audiences are going to be satisfied.
04:26You know, we've been a guided missile aiming in one direction and, you know, how we get there is always
04:35a fun, crazy, bad ride.
04:37Just hold on to your seats.
04:39Yeah.
04:39I love that you're, the second one to say, like, you're landing the plane.
04:43And I love that it's just kind of a throwback to that very first scene of Homelander and not landing
04:48the plane.
04:49He didn't land that plane.
04:49They did not land that plane.
04:51He crashed that plane.
04:52I have every faith that you guys will land this plane very well.
04:56I cannot wait for it.
04:57Thank you very much.
04:57Hope one day we get more boys.
04:59But for now, it's been a ride.
05:01Thank you very much.
05:02Thank you so much.
05:02It's lovely to see you.
05:03Yeah, lovely to see you.
