00:00The next 12 weeks will be the toughest of your life.
00:04Lord Sugar is on the hunt for the next big thing.
00:08This is an opportunity of a lifetime.
00:12Battling for his backing, some of Britain's brightest prospects.
00:16Come on, boys. Look at that. Your life depends on it.
00:20And then hit him.
00:21It's a deal worth fighting for.
00:23I can sense a bit of friction, absolutely.
00:25Daniel, was that on you?
00:25No.
00:26I was talking then.
00:28Twenty candidates.
00:30I've never been kicked in the balls by a goat, to be honest with you.
00:33Twelve tough tasks.
00:35This is a complete and utter joke.
00:39Just jump straight in.
00:40One life-changing opportunity.
00:42You're fired. You're fired.
00:44You've completely messed it up. You're fired.
00:55Previously on The Apprentice.
00:57Five seconds, guys.
00:58Teams went live to the nation.
01:00This is not easy.
01:02Oh, my God. None sold.
01:04Pasha's sales squad took the win.
01:06Totalling £893.60.
01:09Last defence.
01:10And on the losing team, Levi...
01:12You were really painful to watch.
01:14...and Connor...
01:15You're fired.
01:16...were taken off air.
01:18While Kieran...
01:19Do you know you've been in the losing team five times?
01:21I would like to be the project manager on Task 10.
01:23You got it.
01:24...made his own deal of the day.
01:26Sorry.
01:26If I lose, I walk.
01:27Wow.
01:28Fawzi.
01:35Hello, this is Krishma.
01:39Good morning.
01:40Lord Sugar would like you to make your way to Rocker Gallery in West London.
01:44The cars will be outside in 30 minutes.
01:47Okay.
01:50Everybody!
01:51We need to be up!
01:53Boys!
01:54We need to be at Rocker Gallery London in 30 minutes.
01:58Brian!
02:00Give us five more minutes, we'll be awake.
02:02I know your mum is not my job to come back in five minutes.
02:09Obviously, I've got a VPN.
02:10Yeah?
02:11You put yourself out there.
02:12You in?
02:13You're straight through to the final fight.
02:14Please.
02:15You walk, mate.
02:16It's the rules.
02:19Cannot believe it is the last task.
02:22I know.
02:22This is the one that determines the final fight, I feel.
02:32It feels like all eyes are going to be on Kieran today after his brave and bold move in the
02:37boardroom.
02:37Yeah.
02:37There's a lot of pressure being on his team.
02:39I mean, it's always a losing team when he's around.
02:43Near the banks of the Thames, Rocker London Gallery.
02:49A high end hub for design and innovation.
02:57Good morning.
02:58you're standing in the rocker gallery built to showcase the latest trends in high-end design
03:07and that is exactly what your next task is all about. Now the UK spends an astonishing
03:13nine billion pounds a year on products for their pets. I want you to take a bite out of that
03:21market
03:21so you're going to come up with a new pet lifestyle brand, design an innovative pet product and create
03:30a social media video and then tomorrow you'll pitch your product to a room full of retailers.
03:36The team that secures the most orders will win and on the losing team at least one of you will
03:43be going for walkies. Lord Sugar's asked me to tell you that this is an important task because after
03:50this it's the final five and there are seven of you so two from the losing team will be fired
03:56so give it your all. Everything clear? Good luck and off you go.
04:05Teams have two days to perfect a product for pets before trying to tempt buyers tomorrow. First job.
04:13We're all there in the boardroom it's win or walk so I'll be leading this one for you guys.
04:20Work out who's top dog. Final task before interviews who wants to be PM?
04:27Well I'm going to put myself forward guys just off the bat obviously I love pets and I also worked
04:32at
04:32pets at home that was my first job when I was 17 um so yeah. Guys I would also like
04:39to put myself
04:39forward as PM as a dog owner I know what dogs love. I've had German Shepherds growing up and now
04:44I also
04:45have a Shih Tzu so I've had big dogs small dogs um I can speak dog. I can speak dog
04:50as well but people
04:52call me the dog whisperer. I've got a cockapoo I had a lab rescued a Shih Tzu I've also had
04:57a cat
04:58cat sand dog sources all of it. Guys I want to create something for dogs that's the direction
05:03I want to take this with I've thought it through and I would love to be your project manager for
05:07this one guys. Oh wow. Both of you guys have you know pets like you know have dogs and you
05:13know
05:13all that stuff but my vote's with Karishma for this one. Yeah my vote's going to be with Karishma as
05:18well.
05:19Being project manager on week 10 is a huge risk however I have such a clear vision for this task
05:25like it could not have been any more catered for me and I have no doubt that me and my
05:29team can win
05:30this. I'm so excited thank you guys for voting me in and Kieran's going home. On the other team
05:37there is also a big demand for Cats products at the moment. It's growing as well it's a growing market.
05:42Project manager Kieran. So let's go with Cats. Scratches round for inspiration. I've never had
05:50a cat. Have you ever had cats? No. So I'm going to be really honest with you guys um I
05:55have a bit of a
05:56fear of pets. Right. What will your thoughts be on cat bed? I've never had a pet in my life
06:03so it's a bit
06:04my knowledge of it is not great. I think we need to look at so cat trees. Yep. It'd be
06:10used to for
06:11exercise for the cats. So in terms of that what are we thinking? Um okay. Anything come into mind?
06:23I'm not a huge fan of animals and going down the cat route was quite risky if I'm honest. I
06:28think
06:28nobody knows enough about cats and so whether that comes to bite us later on or not we'll find out.
06:33We could even make it look like a tree. It could just be brown trunk, green grass. Well the tree
06:40idea
06:41I like it. I like it because people have house plants right? So why not have a tree?
06:50Across the hall. Me and Pasha I know for a fact we speak to our dogs. We go hey baby
06:54good morning
06:55are you hungry? Planning to pounce on a winning idea. Now imagine if you had the power to leave
07:01your dog voice notes. Project manager Karishma. In my head okay there's a dog bed right and dog owners
07:10communicate and leave like little voice messages for their dogs. My dog would absolutely love that
07:15and I can already tell you that I would buy that bed. This is why we have our experts. I've
07:19got a very
07:20clear idea of what I want this to look like. I think we should go down the luxury market. Loads
07:25of people
07:25that invest in dogs they have the money to spend on dogs. You know I would sell my kidney for
07:29my dog
07:30to have the nicest bed. Dogs like fluffy materials. So that's a huge thing to think about. Yeah. It
07:36needs to look expensive from the logo to the bed itself. Yeah. Team Alpha seems to have fallen on
07:42their feet. Karishma and Pasha have got all the experience you could want with regards to pets having
07:47had dogs their whole life. There's really no excuse now because they've got to deliver. The logo needs
07:53to be minimalistic and chic. Like I thought of Maison Le Chien which means house of dog. I do like
07:58French. Yeah. Sure vibes. I think that it's high-end but it's also premium. Perfect.
08:05You'd sort of have a pod here with a little window for quiet time. Set on creating a winning cat
08:12tree. We can
08:16use team. You can dangle bits of fruit off them. You could dangle a squirrel off it.
08:23In regards to the team split. For me I think because I feel like you have a better idea of
08:28how
08:28you want the trees to look. I think personally it would be good for you to go into the design.
08:33I agree.
08:34I'm not going to lie to you and I hope you don't think the same way. Working with your attention
08:37to
08:37detail sometimes can be missed and I feel like I'd add that. Okay. Dan how would you feel about
08:44doing the branding? I mean I'm really easy going. In terms of the branding make it look friendly,
08:51nice, inviting, something like that. Rothner told Kieran that he really lacks attention to detail
08:58and I can see what she's talking about. He hasn't given any direction to Dan at all. I mean inviting,
09:04friendly and nice. I mean what kind of brief is that? So the design team is myself and Lawrence and
09:10my
09:11branding team is Pasha and Priyash. We're going to put Pasha sub team leader. Let's win this.
09:16Let's win it. Perfect. Come on let's do it. Let's go.
09:2010am. Teams divide. Half will sink their claws into branding. The brief this morning was so clear.
09:27It's luxury. We know what Krishna wants. Yeah. And you know we're going to add that element of a
09:33French twist to the name. Yeah. While the rest designed products aimed at furry friends. I genuinely
09:39want you to get this win after your little ballsy claim. I want the win really badly. I need it.
09:44Yeah. Otherwise it's home time for me.
09:49The Royal College of Art. Base for both product design teams. I'm Kieran. Nice to meet you. Good to
09:55meet you Tim. Unleashing her creativity. So if we like do like a rough sketch. If we imagine it
10:02looking almost like a realistic sofa. Project manager Karishma. Over here somewhere there needs
10:07to be a speaker so the audio can come out and then we have a cushion right. On team cat.
10:13So our plan is
10:14essentially to make it look like a tree. Branching out. So one stem two branches coming off with
10:20seating areas. Yeah. And then a main pod at the top which is then branched over. Estate agent Kieran.
10:26We're going to have a mouse running around the artificial grass on discs and then we can have
10:30additional little things on that dangle. Wait what do cats like do you have any idea because
10:35I'm not actually sure what do they have like anything and everything or. I don't my knowledge on that
10:41is very little so then I don't want. We've got the mouse. Retailers to say. Ah they like cheese.
10:47That's mouse right. Yeah mouse love cheese. But the cat will be at the top chilling. Why would you. Oh
10:53yeah.
10:55What does a cat like. Err what toys can. Cats don't really like to play with many toys to be
11:01honest.
11:02Um. Apple. Um. Fruit fits in with tree. They just love being. I think stick with the fruit like
11:08it. Err. So basically just apple and a banana.
11:15West London. At creative agency RPM. Chic canines or Chic Lachien.
11:24Karishma's branding crew. I feel like with what Karishma said this morning Chic Lachien is very
11:31bougie. That is a luxury brand. Search for a name with pedigree.
11:37Chic Lachien. Chic is very much like Paris.
11:41Chic. It's very like elegant. The only thing is as a normal person would they get what that means.
11:49If you're walking down the dog section. Yeah of course if you don't know French then you're not.
11:53You're not going to know it and like that to me sounds like a fancy French restaurant or something.
11:57I don't speak French at all but chic is a very well-known word. It's elegant right.
12:05Let's just because I know that obviously time is not going to be on our side so.
12:09Chic Lachien. Yeah. Just to confirm the brand name is going to be Chic Lachien.
12:15The team wanted to add a bit of French flair to make their dog bed feel high-end
12:20but neither passion or Priya speak French and they've spelt chic incorrectly.
12:24There's nothing chic about that.
12:27I think if we can have the sheet bigger than the Lachien.
12:30Yeah. Like that. Perfect.
12:35Across the hall.
12:37I do really like Oh My Catty. I think that's quite an edgy name for like a new pet brand
12:41coming to market.
12:43Flying solo on feline branding, Dan.
12:48I'm just going to go with my gut feeling and go with what I think is going to be great.
12:53So what I would like it to look like I'd like it to be quite like bold.
12:56That one on the far right there and then a huge exclamation mark at the end like a brand.
13:03But we do something that looks something like this. It goes from large to small and large again.
13:07Mm-hmm. Something like this shape.
13:09Yeah. I'm trying to not just think about one product. I'm trying to think of like a whole brand name
13:13and conception.
13:14I'd like to see it with maybe two bold lines underneath the actual lettering.
13:20Ah, yeah. And then I'd like to start playing around with some colours if that's okay.
13:23Maybe like a racing green. And if I could just duplicate that whole thing because I want to switch it
13:27around.
13:28I just want to see some ideas come to life.
13:32I think this is quite a turning point for Dan. Dan, who's very corporate, who plays it safe,
13:37who never takes any risks. He's come up with something quite catchy in terms of the name.
13:41The logo design isn't terrible. I mean, he's taking ownership. I like that.
13:47Can you zoom in on this third one at the bottom left?
13:50This one? Yeah. I think that one is my final masterpiece.
13:582pm. So we've got a design. We've got a logo. Catching up.
14:04The final name is Sheik Lachien.
14:08Team dog.
14:10OK, awesome. Um, can I just double check the spelling of Sheik Lachien?
14:14So it is, uh, sorry, C-H-I-Q-U-E.
14:21That's not the spelling of Sheik.
14:23When something looks Sheik and stylish we say C-H-I-C.
14:27C-H-I-C? Really?
14:30I thought Sheik was C-H-I-Q-U-E.
14:34Sheik.
14:35That might just be, the way I'm spelling it might just be like slang.
14:38So now I'm actually not sure, but...
14:40I'm just going to be positive and that that is a French way of spelling the word Sheik.
14:45Uh, thank you guys so much.
14:47Well done. Bye.
14:50I'm not going to lie, I know it's a stupid question,
14:52but I would not spell Sheik this way.
14:54I personally, I don't speak French.
14:56I wouldn't have used a word that I can't speak or, you know, I know myself.
15:00Do you know, how would you usually spell it?
15:02So it would be C-H-I-C.
15:03C-H-I-C. Oh, like Sheik.
15:06Yeah, like Sheik.
15:08OK, fine.
15:08I don't actually know.
15:09That makes sense.
15:11If they spelt the first word of our logo incorrectly,
15:15Pasha and Priya have made a huge mistake.
15:17A huge mistake that is not something that we can just, you know, sweep over.
15:20It's the name of the brand.
15:22I think we'd best be positive, move on and yeah, we'll see how it looks tomorrow.
15:28Design deadline looming.
15:30The last thing we need to give Tim the measurement of...
15:33is the height of this stone.
15:35For Kieran's cat tree...
15:37So that's minimum, 90.
15:39Needs to be double that.
15:41Finishing touches.
15:43I think 1.5 to get what we want.
15:47You don't want to go too tall because people's apartments or houses might not...
15:50The room might not be that tall.
15:52Trust me.
15:53I wouldn't...
15:541.6 metres high from...
15:561.6 from the floor to the top of the tree.
15:58Wait, wait, wait.
15:59Yeah, that's it, mate.
16:00Can you discuss this with me before you do that?
16:01Is that too tall?
16:02No, no, no, that's not big enough.
16:04I think you're getting very large.
16:06That's as tall as me and most houseplants are as tall as me.
16:09This is what...
16:10That's the vision.
16:12Just...
16:13OK.
16:13Trust me.
16:15OK, I'm not...
16:16Trust me.
16:18Every time Kieran measures his tree, he adds more height to it or more width.
16:23I mean, at this stage, you're going to need a palace to put this thing in.
16:27I mean, it's huge.
16:29Well, if I'm going to stick to it, do we need to get on the stairs?
16:31Right, go for it.
16:31OK, let's increase this to 1,800.
16:34OK.
16:36On the other team...
16:38Our body of the sofa will be this fleece material in the beige.
16:41Yeah.
16:42...laying out her vision for their luxury dog bed...
16:45..the cushion itself will be this Sherpa Fofa.
16:50Leader of the pack, Karishma.
16:52The whole point of this is for owners to be able to communicate with their dogs...
16:55Fabulous.
16:55...and leave a nice message.
16:56Beautiful.
16:57So, if we write a rough script for this, keep it short and sweet,
16:59and this would be activated by, yeah, sound like an ambulance going past fireworks,
17:03something like that, the dog would feel safe.
17:05OK, fine.
17:06I think it's a clear vision that we should work with.
17:09I don't think that trying to reinvent it from my side for the sake of looking busy is a good
17:13idea.
17:13We're going to say, hey, baby, I miss you.
17:16And then we'll do kisses.
17:17Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
17:19Hey, baby, I miss you.
17:20I'm running late, but I'll be home soon.
17:22Love you so much.
17:23See you soon. Bye.
17:26Karishma is doing what Karishma does best, coming up with ideas and leading from the front.
17:30But this product's USP is pretty bold.
17:33It's a talking dog bed and nobody is challenging her.
17:36I hope the buyers are as convinced by it as the team are.
17:40Is that great or what?
17:40It's a one-take-one-take.
17:41It's just the authenticity of it.
17:464pm.
17:47I think I do prefer for Pawsome Friends.
17:49It's quite a nice tagline.
17:51Brands built.
17:52Letting them hear and feel you when you can't feel them.
17:55Yeah.
17:55It's a bit long.
17:56Is it?
17:57Designs signed off.
17:59As a dog owner, I would pay for that.
18:01Tomorrow, try to get buyers to bite.
18:08Hey, Taya.
18:09I hope you like it.
18:11It's quite an edgy logo that I did.
18:13I mean, it's definitely eye-catching.
18:15Yeah.
18:15I like it.
18:16I like it.
18:16Hoping their branding can fetch them a win.
18:19I actually really like the logo.
18:20It's classy.
18:21I love the paw print.
18:23Team dog.
18:24If you can promise me that that is the correct spelling of the word, it can be spelled either way.
18:27Yeah, it is.
18:27I trust that and I'm ready to move on with that.
18:29And then we've got the tagline, which is, um, what's the first word?
18:37It is letting them, letting them hear and feel you when you can't feel them.
18:44Mm-hmm.
18:45So, I obviously do think the tagline is a bit lengthy.
18:48Yeah.
18:48You know, most well-known brands go for a small one, a little one.
18:52I'm not going to lie, it's very long.
18:56The whole point of a tagline is to be memorable.
18:58And in this case, the people who made it couldn't even remember it.
19:01I asked Priyash and Pasha what's the tagline, and they both couldn't remember.
19:05So, for me, it's a very big mistake on their part.
19:08If, during the pitch today, I forget it, someone step in and say it,
19:11because I just don't think I'll remember it.
19:14Across the hall.
19:16Right, the big unveil.
19:18Okay, I'm excited.
19:20The moment of truth.
19:22Wow.
19:23What the hell?
19:23Okay.
19:25For Kieran's cat tree.
19:27Wow.
19:30I think this is awesome.
19:31Yeah.
19:32I do find that the dome, the more I look at it, it's pretty huge.
19:37The dome's big.
19:38I didn't realise it'd have such a huge surface area.
19:42It's quite big.
19:43I'm not sure how many houses this would fit in unless you have a huge house.
19:47Yeah.
19:48But how do customers take it home?
19:49Would they pick it up in the shop?
19:50Can you fit it in a car quite easily?
19:54Just order it online.
19:57The overall size of the product, I mean, it's huge.
20:00And I think, especially if you are selling to consumers where they've got
20:04typically smaller flats, especially in London,
20:06I mean, where the hell are you going to put the thing?
20:09So, how's the cat going to get in here?
20:17For the other team.
20:19Right.
20:21Oh.
20:22Oh.
20:23I like this.
20:25Karishma's talking dog bed.
20:26Hey, baby.
20:27I miss you.
20:28I'm running late, but I'll be home soon.
20:30Love you so much.
20:31See you soon.
20:32Bye.
20:32Oh.
20:33I love.
20:34It's a one-take wonder from Karishma as well.
20:37So, this is going to be audio activated.
20:39Any loud bang, an ambulance, a knock on the door.
20:42Hey, baby.
20:42I miss you.
20:43I'm running late, but I'll be home soon.
20:45Love you so much.
20:46See you soon.
20:47Bye.
20:49Also, last minute change that I suggested.
20:51We initially started with a round bed.
20:53Yeah.
20:53Then I was like, no, let's do it.
20:54Hey, baby.
20:54I miss you.
20:55I'm running late, but I'll be home soon.
20:57Love you so much.
20:58See you soon.
20:59Bye.
21:00All right.
21:01So, obviously, it does go off with quite sensitive sounds.
21:04Hey, baby.
21:05I miss you.
21:05I'm running late, but I'll be home soon.
21:07Love you so much.
21:08See you soon.
21:09Bye.
21:10That's really annoying if it keeps going off.
21:12So, guys, you know, today's a big busy day.
21:14We've got the pitch.
21:15Hey, baby.
21:15I miss you.
21:16I'm running late, but I'll be home soon.
21:18Love you so much.
21:19See you soon.
21:20Bye.
21:21Right, and it's off.
21:2410am.
21:25So, we're obviously going to do a social media video today.
21:27I'll go to consumer research, get all the information.
21:32Before shooting their viral videos.
21:34Hello.
21:35Hello.
21:36Hi.
21:37For half of each team, a masterclass in content creation.
21:41I've created quite a lot of social media content over the years with my pets.
21:44What pets have you got?
21:46I've got cats.
21:47Perfect.
21:48From social media supremo, Zara McDermott.
21:52Some of my top tips are hook the viewer in the first three seconds.
21:57Could you ask a question?
21:59Does your cat do this?
22:00Does your dog do this?
22:01Another tip I've got is about humour.
22:04Humour sells.
22:05That could be a really good way to increase engagement.
22:10West London.
22:11Who of you likes the brand name?
22:15Six out of six.
22:15Okay.
22:16That's really promising.
22:17For team Moggy.
22:18So, let's go and take a closer look at the product.
22:21Market research.
22:25Oh my god.
22:29It's very tree.
22:33I live in a studio flat.
22:35This is way too big for studio flat.
22:38For my cat to jump from here to this platform and then to come around in here,
22:45I think that would be quite tough for her.
22:48Yeah, I hear your thoughts.
22:49A million dollar question is, just a raise of hands, would you buy this for your cats?
22:57Sorry.
22:58Oh, flicking hell.
23:01They just didn't really like the product at all.
23:03It wasn't really fit for purpose.
23:05It was a very similar thought to what I had this morning with it being too tall.
23:09How is the cat going to be able to jump up there and get out?
23:11On the other side, they love the brand name.
23:13They love the logo.
23:14And so, I'm feeling like I did a great job.
23:19Okay.
23:20So, I'm going to write that they can successfully jump out.
23:26Across town.
23:28Now, tagline is letting them hear and feel you when you can't feel them.
23:34Barking up the wrong tree.
23:36From the tagline, do you understand what the product would be?
23:39Not a cliche.
23:40No.
23:41Okay.
23:42Priyash and Lawrence.
23:45So, obviously, our name is called Chic La Chie.
23:48So, chic is another word for, like, classy, glamour.
23:52Yeah, it's just like a...
23:53You know, like you say something...
23:54Is it French spelling?
23:54Um, yes.
23:56So, I think we're all familiar with the term chic, but I've never seen it spelt like that.
24:00I don't understand that at all.
24:02Chic is part of my everyday vocabulary.
24:04Yeah.
24:04That's not.
24:04I'm French.
24:05I think it's spelt C-H-I-C and you should have it the other way around.
24:09So, le chien chic.
24:10Wrong way around.
24:13Okay.
24:14So, welcome to our dog bed.
24:15You can record your voice and it will play that recording to sort of give the dog that sense of
24:19calm.
24:20If you are not in the house and they hear you, they will look for you.
24:24I agree.
24:25I think I would freak out the dogs more than anything.
24:27Okay.
24:28So, would you recommend this product to a friend?
24:30No one?
24:31Uh, would you guys buy this product?
24:33No.
24:33No.
24:34Do you like the idea of the audio function?
24:36Is it something you would use?
24:37None of you.
24:40That was honestly, unfortunately, a car crash.
24:43Being shown up by spelling the name wrong by someone that's from France, really embarrassing.
24:48And the product, very few positives on that side as well.
24:51I think spinning that's going to be really, really tough.
24:53We are in a really bad place with that feedback.
24:56Just to be disappointed.
24:57Yeah, very much so.
24:59That was literally, yeah.
25:00Carnage, car crash, I don't know what to call it.
25:02Chic la chien.
25:04Oh, fuck.
25:07Back at the house.
25:08All right.
25:09Three, two, one, action.
25:11I'll be with you soon.
25:12Bye.
25:13Girl, who's that?
25:14He sounds cute.
25:15While Karishma and Pasha shoot their viral video.
25:18Brown eyes, blonde hair.
25:21He's at home waiting for me.
25:23So, I just thought I'd leave him a cute little message.
25:26Chasing their tails.
25:28What are the chances of getting him on a podium?
25:31No, no, no, no.
25:32Rosner and Kieran.
25:34Could we get a shot of his head poking out of this?
25:36Yeah, he's knocking on it.
25:38That tree is really freaking out.
25:41With their star on strike.
25:43Right now, we have to pivot.
25:45We don't have much to go off of.
25:47A change of direction.
25:49I was thinking what might be cool for you to walk in on the camera and be like,
25:51guys, look at this.
25:52My cat never goes out into the nature.
25:54Watch me bring the nature indoors.
25:56We need loads of ideas just so that when we're editing,
25:59because obviously this is wasted time.
26:00We can't just stand around.
26:01Yeah, all right.
26:02Yeah, just like a lot of energy.
26:03Does anyone else's cat do this?
26:05Just sits at the window, but never actually wants to go outside.
26:09I am getting super nervous, super stressed.
26:13Things aren't going exactly how I planned,
26:15but we've pivoted and I'm ready to make it happen.
26:20Come on.
26:21You're the one who wanted to trade.
26:23Brilliant.
26:23Okay.
26:24Yes, Kiran, smile while you're doing that.
26:26Perfect.
26:313pm.
26:32Ahead of the pitches.
26:34Hi, everyone.
26:35Hi, how are you?
26:36Hi, I'm good.
26:37For both teams.
26:39Do you want to hear the bad news or the good news first?
26:41Let's go bad.
26:41Yeah.
26:42A chance to check in.
26:44None of them would buy the product.
26:45None of them.
26:46They said it was too tall, not very accessible for the cats.
26:49Good news is that they love the brand name and the tagline.
26:52They said it was really catchy.
26:54I mean, I love the branding because I created it.
26:57For team dog.
26:59I'm going to be honest with you.
27:00It was really bad, the consumer feedback.
27:02Reality bites.
27:04Zero out of six understood what it did.
27:07Can you be a bit more specific in terms of like what did?
27:10So zero out of six knew what the product was based off.
27:13Okay, that's fine.
27:14Unfortunately, we had a French guy there and the word chic is spelt wrong.
27:17It isn't spelt wrong.
27:18No, it is.
27:20It is and it's in the wrong order as well.
27:22It should be Lachian chic.
27:23They just said, oh no, I've never seen it like that before.
27:26So we just had to listen to what they said.
27:27In terms of the beds, none of them liked the audio.
27:30And they basically said it would freak out the dog.
27:32And that was pretty much the feedback across the board.
27:35I don't want to hear none of that anymore.
27:36It's negative.
27:36It's put me in a bad mood and take a deep breath in, take a deep breath out and drop
27:40it.
27:40Because I have a dog, she has a dog and we thought it was nice.
27:45It is.
28:17So let's get in there, let's smash it and let's get some sales.
28:18Do we make this connection between the human and the dog closer?
28:23This is not just any sofa bed.
28:24This is a literal talking sofa bed.
28:27You can create a personalized message for your dog so that when you're away from the home,
28:32any sound that may be disturbing, they trigger the sound of your soothing,
28:35calming and familiar voice.
28:37Hey baby, I miss you.
28:39I'm running late, but I'll be home soon.
28:41Love you so much.
28:42See you soon.
28:43Bye.
28:43Dogs will love it.
28:44The dog owners will love it.
28:46I'm going to pass it over to Pasha here, my colleague,
28:48who's going to tell you a bit more about our brand story.
28:52Now I'm hoping that you guys look at this and this gives you luxury.
28:57The chic dog.
28:58That is the goal.
28:59The chic dog on the chic bed, which is ultimately perfect if you like luxury,
29:04if you like the higher things in life.
29:06Now you guys might be thinking chic is spelt a little bit different to usual.
29:11Personally, I feel like the normal spelling that you'd see of chic is a little bit more slang.
29:15It's a different way of spelling it and I feel like it just brings out that extra pop of French
29:20elegance.
29:21I don't think anyone here speaks French, but ultimately this is for dogs and le chien means dog.
29:29Thank you, Pasha.
29:30So without further ado, I'm going to play our social media campaign video that we did today.
29:37I'll be with you soon.
29:38Bye.
29:39Girl, who's that?
29:40He sounds cute.
29:41Girl, let me tell you.
29:42Brown eyes, blonde hair.
29:45So I left him a little voice note.
29:47He's at home waiting to be on the sofa.
29:49Gorgeous.
29:50Bye.
29:51I'm running late, but I will be with you soon.
29:54Bye.
29:55I would love to open the floor to any questions.
29:58Um, I think the audio feature is really appealing.
30:02I slightly worry that it's going to be confusing for the dog.
30:06Perhaps overstimulate it rather than calm the dog down.
30:09Um, science has proven that dogs like to sit on surfaces that smell like their owners.
30:15Science will hopefully soon prove that dogs like to listen to the voice of their owners when they're gone.
30:20Across town.
30:21Does anyone else's cat do this?
30:23Just sits at the window.
30:24It doesn't actually go outside.
30:26Also hoping to impress.
30:28Look what I've just bought.
30:30Oh my cat, come on.
30:32Kieran's cat crew.
30:35As you can see, uh, we have created a one, a one-of-a-kind cat tree.
30:42We wanted to make this big just so it's, it's more comfortable for your pet.
30:47And our finished product definitely will catch eyes when you have visitors into your house.
30:53And it will also blend away next to your house plants if you don't want it to be on show
30:58too much.
30:59Now I know it's quite literally a cat tree and there's a reason for that.
31:03We thought, why not bring a little bit of the nature indoors?
31:06If they want to have a little play around by themselves, they can.
31:08Or they can go and have a little rest in there.
31:13We'd love to open it up to some questions, uh, to hear what you guys think.
31:16So I was wondering about this size.
31:18If you guys thought about, like, how customers could carry it home.
31:23The item isn't the lightest, I'll be completely honest.
31:27So whether or not you can offer a delivery service or they can arrange for someone to pick it up
31:32separately,
31:33that's on them.
31:35However, it is something that stands out, makes people stop, look and buy.
31:44Introductions over. Teams have one hour to tempt buyers into big orders.
31:49Hello. Hi James. Nice to meet you.
31:53On team dog.
31:54Because you guys are a global brand.
31:56What are you thinking around the, like, 3,000, 4,000 mark?
31:59While Lawrence and Priyash fail to get a bite.
32:02It doesn't really match what our customer wants.
32:05So we won't be placing an order with you.
32:07Pasha draws on her past connections.
32:11I've actually worked at Pets A Home.
32:13That was my first job four years ago when I was 17.
32:16I understand the area you, if your dog has anxiety, this is a natural way of potentially calming your dog
32:23down.
32:24Have you got evidence that the owner's voice without the owner being present does do that?
32:29We don't actually have, this is such new technology.
32:32There's mixed opinions.
32:33We are waiting for there to be research on how dogs respond to this kind of audio.
32:36I think I'm just questioning sort of the problem you've identified and whether this is actually the right, the right
32:42solution.
32:43And on that basis, we probably wouldn't be placing any orders.
32:46OK. I appreciate that, but even just a few hundred units, a hundred, two hundred.
32:52We just think there's too big a gap between the evidence you've got and what this product can deliver.
32:58It's a car crash, to be honest with you.
33:01The problem that we're coming up against is the practicality of the audio.
33:04We're saying that it de-stresses animals, but realistically, we have no facts to prove that.
33:09Disappointing? Yeah, very.
33:10We did our best. Let's move on to the next.
33:12Let's go to the next.
33:13I've got to be much quicker with these ones.
33:14Yeah, come on.
33:16Across town...
33:17It'd be great to hear a little bit about what you thought of it, and especially if you could see
33:20it in your stores.
33:22Also in talks with industry top cats, Dan.
33:26We would be interested, because we love innovative products, and there is innovation there.
33:31It's quite unique to get a cat tree which is interactive.
33:34We do sell a huge amount of cat trees every year, and very much a test purchase for us.
33:39We're about 2,000 units.
33:40Is there, like, if we were to do an exclusivity deal with you guys, is there a potential?
33:45At most, we might go to maybe 2,300 if it was exclusive.
33:49Yeah, okay. Well, for exclusivity, we need a few thousand more, really.
33:52That's fair enough.
33:53Be delighted to accept your offer, and we'll shake on 2,000 orders.
33:56Okay, thank you very much.
33:56Thank you very much.
33:58I think Dan's approach to Pets at Home, one of the largest retailers here, was very gentle, very friendly.
34:04I mean, he secured an order of 2,000, but far too quickly.
34:07And if he'd have just kept pushing, I'd be certain he'd got a much bigger number than he ended up
34:12with.
34:12I think 2,000 is good.
34:14Yeah, they seem to genuinely love the product.
34:16Really well done, mate.
34:18On Team Dog,
34:20is there anything we can do just to get sort of a trial order of maybe around the sort of
34:241,000 mark?
34:25While PR man Lawrence sells himself.
34:28No, our clients are really discerning, I'm sorry.
34:31But you're a good salesman.
34:32Come and wait for us.
34:34In talks with supermarket giant Tesco.
34:37We've done a great job making a product that makes dogs feel safer.
34:41Pasha and Karishma.
34:43Dogs spend their whole lives serving us, and we took this so personally.
34:46How do we give back to the dog?
34:49Look, obviously you guys are super passionate about the product,
34:53and that kind of link on the audio is something we've never seen before.
34:56Because this is such new and futuristic technology,
34:59we're hoping to push around 5,000 units today.
35:02Closer to 1,000 is what we were thinking.
35:04This is going to be something that people want in their home,
35:06and something that they love.
35:07So could I push you more towards 3,500?
35:10We could maybe push to 1,300 units, but that would be the max.
35:14Okay, could I be super cheeky, push for 1,500?
35:18We'd be so happy.
35:19It's a nice, gorgeous, round, juicy number,
35:21and we'd both leave very happy from this conversation.
35:24That sounds like a deal.
35:25Perfect, 1,500.
35:27I love that, and I know dogs around the country will love it too.
35:29While Karishma collars a deal,
35:32on the other team...
35:34I saw lots of lovely smiles from you lovely ladies.
35:36I'm hoping it was all positive.
35:37..still to secure a single sale...
35:40What did you think of the products?
35:42..Roth now.
35:43The weight of it is bothering us a lot.
35:47The weight and the size.
35:49You know, I think we would need a forklift for a customer to lift it.
35:54So, you're right, it's a little bit heavy, I'm going to be honest with you.
35:57For me, it's about replicating nature.
35:59Trees are tall.
36:00Let's try and allow the cat to see how big nature truly is,
36:04and then eventually they might be able to come out with you on walks, you know?
36:06But the other thing was that the cat would fall...
36:09Or just wouldn't be able to get in.
36:12..to stretch across to get into the bed.
36:15Why don't you try it out in each of your store
36:17and see if that is something that you feel like you could invest in?
36:20But our problem is the size.
36:22But we wish you the very best.
36:24Thank you very much.
36:25OK, guys, don't worry.
36:27Yeah.
36:28Don't worry.
36:28Move on.
36:30Yeah.
36:30About it, we'll go to the next.
36:3220 minutes to go.
36:34When I first saw it, I thought it should have been in the vivarium,
36:38because I was expecting a snake or a lizard to be up here.
36:40For both teams...
36:41The audio aspect for some dogs,
36:43it might actually encourage them to search out their owner.
36:46A final push for sales.
36:48It's very unique and very innovative.
36:51We could take a small risk on maybe three.
36:53It's brilliant.
36:53No, thank you.
36:53Thank you very much.
36:55We'd absolutely love, love, love for you to believe in our product as much as we do,
36:58because this would change dog lives.
37:00I mean, I think for today, we're not looking to place an order.
37:03How many would you guys have brought up to work by?
37:05As it is, probably none.
37:07We love the concept, but the product's not there yet.
37:10I think your process is good.
37:12The kind feedback is lovely.
37:13Do you know what's lovelier?
37:14A big order.
37:16Just one in a store could create a whole bundle of excitement online.
37:21We'll go with 50.
37:21Thank you very much.
37:22No problem.
37:22We were thinking something around sort of the 1,500 mark.
37:26We'll go to 1,100.
37:271,100.
37:27Final offer.
37:28Thank you very much.
37:29I think that's an absolute pleasure.
37:31Thank you guys so much.
37:32Thank you so much.
37:33Thank you, sir.
37:34Brilliant.
37:35Yeah, bye guys.
37:386pm.
37:39We've done the best that we can.
37:40I mean, we've squeezed as much as we can out of them.
37:42Sales over.
37:43It is a bit disappointing, but I'm hoping that we did enough.
37:47Kieran wasn't the right project manager really for this task.
37:50And, you know, if we do lose, he's obviously sealed his fate,
37:52but ultimately one other person in his team is going to be walking home tomorrow as well.
37:56We've done our best.
37:57There was actually nothing more that we could have done.
37:59Yeah.
37:59Exactly.
38:00If we lose tomorrow and I get brought back, I am fighting.
38:03Fighting for my life.
38:04Bring it on, because I'm sticking around.
38:08Tonight, orders totted up.
38:10Tomorrow in the boardroom, claws out.
38:20One thing's for sure is that is anyone's game today.
38:22I don't think anyone can call it either way.
38:24And you know what?
38:25We've made it to task 10.
38:27We should all be very proud of ourselves.
38:28Not long now, guys, we find out that final fight.
38:32The deal was we're in a walk.
38:35What a comment that was in the heat of the moment.
38:37You regret it or no?
38:38If we haven't done enough, I'll be regretting it.
38:45I'm really nervous.
38:47I gave it my all in this task.
38:49And I just don't know what way it's going to go.
38:52I've definitely not come here to leave at the last hurdle.
38:55I've come here to make an impact.
38:56And I'm going to make sure that this final boardroom, I make it count.
38:59This is the most stressed and anxious I've been before a boardroom.
39:03And p.m., it's week 10, it's literally go hard or go home.
39:12You can go through to the boardroom now.
39:27So, this task was to design an accessory for a pet.
39:34Yeah.
39:36So, let's start with Team Alpha.
39:41Karishma, you became the project manager.
39:44Yes, Lord Sugar.
39:45And decided to make a dog bed.
39:47Yeah, absolutely.
39:48So, we wanted to create something that fits into the realm of dog care and also furniture.
39:54Something people would accept in their living rooms as not just something for their dog,
39:59but something that fits with the luxury theme.
40:00That looks like a British Airways first class seat, actually.
40:05There we go.
40:05At least it's first class, yeah.
40:06Yeah.
40:07The main feature being the USP is the technology feature inside.
40:10It's an audio feature which allows the owner's voice to be transmitted to the dog when the dog's at home
40:16alone.
40:17So, if there's a bang on the door, fireworks, an ambulance outside, the audio feature would be triggered.
40:23What about if I was to go?
40:25Hey baby, I miss you. I'm running late, but I'll be home soon. Love you so much. See you soon.
40:30Bye.
40:31Yeah.
40:32That's it, is it?
40:33That's the voice, yeah.
40:34So, you've got the doggies laying in there and like a bang of lightning or something like that might set
40:41it off, yeah?
40:42If it's loud enough, yeah.
40:44Your dog shitsues itself.
40:49So, who designed this thing?
40:51So, Lawrence and I designed the product itself. Pasha and Priyash went off to do the branding.
40:57Right, and what's the branding?
40:58So, the name of our brand is called Chic Le Chien, and that basically means the chic dog.
41:05Chic? Well, it's a funny spelling, isn't it?
41:09Erm, so, I do believe that that is an alternating way of spelling chic.
41:14Erm, and it looks more French and the C-H-I-C was a bit more of a slang, a
41:22slang spelling.
41:23Erm, I'm not sure that's true.
41:25But I just tried to back it up.
41:26You remind me of Del Boy doing a bit of French, you know?
41:29That mongey too.
41:32Yeah.
41:33What's that? Can someone read out that tagline for me? I can't see it.
41:37So, it's letting them hear and feel you when you can't feel them.
41:42So, it was incorporating the storyline and it's not as short.
41:46It's long, isn't it?
41:46Yeah.
41:47It's longer than a dog lead.
41:48The idea of an advert or a logo is, you know, you get it straight away.
41:53Yeah.
41:54Do I get that? It's got anything to do with dogs?
41:58No.
42:00Anyway, you then do a social media clip, right?
42:06And who did that?
42:07That was Pasha and myself.
42:09Right.
42:10Shall we see it?
42:11I'm happy with you too.
42:13Hi.
42:14Girl, who's that?
42:15He sounds cute.
42:16So, brown eyes, blonde hair.
42:19So, I left him a little voice note.
42:21He's at home waiting to be on the sofa.
42:23We're all just...
42:25I'm running late, but I'll be with you soon.
42:28Bye.
42:30Right.
42:31So, explain to me the rationale behind it.
42:35So, what we wanted was to create a girl's brunch.
42:37They're talking about a boy.
42:38He's got blonde hair, he's got brown eyes.
42:41The audience feels...
42:42That was the dog?
42:42That was the dog the whole time.
42:44Okay.
42:44So, then you go and do some consumer research.
42:49Who did that?
42:49That was myself and Prehash Lord Trigger.
42:52And you had some bit of a negative feedback there, didn't you?
42:55Yeah, they didn't really like the product at all.
42:57They said that the audio clip would freak out the dog.
43:00Hmm.
43:01But out of the six, how many would buy mum?
43:03Zero.
43:07That's very encouraging, isn't it?
43:09Right.
43:10Let's go over to this other team, Eclipse.
43:12Now then, Kieran, I remember you saying to me at the end of the last board meeting,
43:18win or walk, basically.
43:20Walkies, yeah.
43:21Yeah.
43:22I mean, this is week 10, so you've used up your nine lives.
43:28Okay, tell me what happened.
43:30So what our plan was to bring nature indoors, because you get a lot of indoor house cats these days.
43:35And Dan's idea initially was the tree.
43:37I think what we try to do is give cats a real nature feel to it,
43:41because obviously they don't tend to go outside a lot.
43:42I thought the cats do go outside.
43:44They get lost and they don't come back.
43:46I think that shows Rothner's knowledge of cats.
43:49I mean, I tried.
43:50Cats don't go outside.
43:52Rothner, you've got a fear of animals, haven't you?
43:54Yeah, I have a bit of a phobia, but I was still excited for the task.
43:57You're petrified.
44:00I think I managed to conquer it a little bit.
44:03You've done very well with the cat.
44:05Anyway, just tell me, who designed this tree?
44:09Myself and Rothner went to design the tree.
44:11It's a bit big.
44:12It looks like you needed planning consent from the council.
44:16So the plan was, obviously a lot of people have house plants.
44:20So our thought was, you know, you've got a cat tree and a house plant.
44:24Why don't we combine the two?
44:26It is large, but then it's two items in one.
44:30I loved working with Kieran, but when it came down to sizing,
44:33I did say to him multiple times, is it going to be too big?
44:36And he just kept saying, trust me, which I did trust.
44:39I've seen bigger ones.
44:40You kept adding more and more height to it.
44:43It started off quite small and it ended up six foot.
44:46Yeah.
44:46You won't miss it.
44:48Go big or go home, right?
44:49Yeah.
44:50Stating the obvious, you have to be a very, very,
44:53very athletic cat to get up the top there.
44:55No, I disagree.
44:57Well, did you get one to do it?
45:00No.
45:01Let's, let's work out how it split up.
45:03Dan, you were put on branding, right?
45:05Yeah.
45:06Okay.
45:07And the logo was Omar Khatty.
45:10Yeah.
45:10And what's the, what's the thing underneath it?
45:12For Pawsome Friends.
45:13Well, at least it's short, isn't it?
45:15Um, yeah.
45:17And the market research wasn't very good, was it?
45:19I think, yeah, because we were chatting to a lot of people who were living in London,
45:23they just said that they couldn't see this in their house just because it's too big.
45:26Um, there were some positives from the consumer research.
45:29In terms of the logo, the brand name and the tagline, I mean.
45:33I suppose they loved that.
45:34They did also.
45:35Oh, well, of course, yeah, that was because that's your product.
45:39It made you feel very, very happy.
45:42Let's have a look at your social media.
45:45Does anyone else's cat do this?
45:48Just sits at the window, but doesn't actually go outside?
45:52Look what I've just bought.
45:53Oh my gutty, come on.
45:55You don't know me because you're dead, though.
45:59What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
46:03It jumped a bit, didn't it?
46:05So the story behind it is the cat's looking outside.
46:10It can't go outside.
46:11So we've brought nature inside and that's why you can see all the greening outside the window.
46:15Even with the cat, I think you were quite disappointed that he wasn't behaving in the same way
46:18and time was running out.
46:19I just had to be like, Kieran, we just need to pivot.
46:21And I actually said, Kieran, do what we can.
46:23Right, okay.
46:24How was the project manager?
46:26Was he like a loose cannon or what?
46:28I think he was, he had really great ideas, but I feel like he ran, he runs quite fast.
46:33Was he behaving like Chairman Meow?
46:35The tough part of working with Kieran was that he has a lot of great ideas,
46:39but he's going at a thousand miles per hour.
46:42Yeah.
46:43Well, okay, let's see how we did, shall we?
46:47This is the most important thing.
46:49So we'll start off with Karen.
46:53Can you tell me how this team did with their retailers?
46:57Well, four of the six retailers placed orders.
47:02Oh, that's good.
47:02Yep.
47:03And the total number of orders was 2,058.
47:08Right.
47:10Tim, exactly the same thing.
47:14Well, they pitched to all of them and unfortunately they only managed to secure two orders from the six.
47:23Totalling an amount of 2,600.
47:27What?
47:29Yeah.
47:32Well.
47:33No.
47:34Okay.
47:35Dear, oh dear, oh dear.
47:37It's a shame.
47:38You don't realise that you left a load of orders on the table.
47:42Pets at home would have ordered 3,500.
47:46Right?
47:47And the message there is you didn't push them enough.
47:51You gave in too early.
47:53Let's go walkies.
47:56We had a deal.
47:58We've got a deal.
48:00Thank you for the opportunity.
48:02Thank you for the opportunity.
48:03Well done, Karen.
48:04Cheers.
48:05All the best, guys.
48:15Well, you lot, um, you could all go back to the house because obviously it goes without saying that you're
48:22in the final five.
48:23Thank you, love, Chigga.
48:25How you made it, I do not know.
48:27I haven't got, I haven't got a bloody clue.
48:30You're a lucky charm, you really are.
48:33I hope you like my business plan though.
48:34Well, we'll soon see about that.
48:36Yeah.
48:37Okay, go back to the, uh, go back to the house.
48:39Thank you very much.
48:40Good luck, guys.
48:41Good luck.
48:42Good luck.
48:43Well done.
48:46Oh, my gosh.
48:47Oh, my gosh.
48:51Look, um, like two very intelligent.
49:04Candidates left here, you will realise that there's only room for one of you.
49:10When you come back in this boardroom, we're going to have a more of a deeper dive in what your
49:14business ideas are.
49:17And then I shall decide which one of you is leaving the process.
49:21Yes, of course.
49:22Off you go.
49:29Well, you did it!
49:30Oh, my God.
49:32I am absolutely gassed right now.
49:35Can't wait for like our business plans to be ripped to shreds.
49:41We've got a seat at the table at 5-0-5.
49:44Like when I tell you, from Hong Kong to here, these girls have grown.
49:48So mad.
49:49There could be a winner in this car.
49:51I know.
49:53It was win or won.
49:55I'm not a beg.
49:56I'm not going to beg for my place.
49:57A deal was a deal.
49:58And Lord Sugar hasn't seen the last of me.
50:06Well, Dan started off quiet, but he's turned out to be quite an intelligent person, hasn't he?
50:12I look, for Dan, this really was a game of two halves.
50:16Half of it, the logo, the name, the brand, got some really good feedback.
50:22But on the other hand, pets at home, if pushed, they would have ordered three and a half thousand.
50:27So he left 1,500 orders on the table, and that is not good.
50:32Mm.
50:33And Rothner?
50:34Listen, I really like Rothner.
50:35I think she's a good candidate.
50:37She really is a calming influence amongst some of the chaos that happens.
50:41But unfortunately, Dan and Kieran did actually manage to take orders.
50:45I mean, she got no orders.
50:46She spoke to two retailers and got zero.
50:49Mm.
50:52Yes, could you send the two of them in, please?
51:05Right, so I'll start with you, Dan.
51:09Um, unbeknown to you, you left orders on the table.
51:13Now, you started off with pets at home.
51:16Why did you leave it at 2k?
51:18Yeah, I can only apologise that I didn't push them hard enough.
51:21But I felt like I did ask them, um, for more units.
51:25But, um...
51:25What about Finn and Fur?
51:27What happened there?
51:27You only bought three.
51:29Oh, yeah.
51:29So I kept that quite short, just to be honest, because they were small business.
51:33I knew they weren't going to place huge quantities.
51:35So, you know...
51:37They placed 1,100 with the other team.
51:39Yeah, they did.
51:41They've got a big online presence.
51:42Now, um, Rothner, I've got your CV here, OK?
51:49It says here, best business skills.
51:52Confident in negotiating, it says.
51:55You didn't negotiate anything there.
51:58I did try my hardest, and I was honestly very disappointed in myself.
52:02However, I don't think, for me, the issue actually was the negotiation.
52:05It was just the fact that they disliked the product.
52:07It's just too big, and the dimensions were a little bit off.
52:10You went with Kieran to keep an eye on him, as you put it, you know?
52:15You didn't keep an eye on him, did you, really?
52:17He let him build that thing.
52:19If it would have been four foot tall, you'd have been able to sell loads of them.
52:23Why did you just not put your foot down?
52:25He just kept saying, trust me, and he kept looking at me as if I'm being a hindrance.
52:29Good, good.
52:30You should have been a hindrance.
52:31Yeah, and I regret that.
52:32I really do.
52:33It's like being on a sinking ship.
52:35You're up to here with Walter, and you think, no, I'm not going to listen to you, Captain, anymore.
52:42So why shouldn't I fire you, Dan?
52:45I think over the past ten tasks, I know it's taken me a little while to get into the process,
52:50but I feel like I've learnt a lot.
52:52I've taken a really huge risk coming into here.
52:54I've left my business that I've been growing for the past eight years.
52:57Why did you do that, then?
52:57Why did you take the risk, then?
52:59Because I've not really had a mentor or guidance in the business world.
53:02Everything I've done, I've done it myself.
53:04Yeah.
53:04And the market that I'm in, I know it really well.
53:06I know it's got huge potential.
53:07There's multi-million pound contracts with government and huge organisations that I want
53:11to be able to unlock.
53:13And I feel like with your expertise and kind of support.
53:17Multi-million, you reckon, yeah?
53:18Yeah.
53:19Hmm.
53:20And, Rosna, now your business idea is Bespoke Cake Studio, which is like,
53:25what is it, wedding cakes, isn't it?
53:27Yeah, it's wedding cakes, but also another side of it is having like a Subway style for
53:32cakes.
53:32So you come in, choose your sponge, choose your buttercream and your toppings, basically
53:36tailoring each cake slice to the individual.
53:39And I do see it expanding as a franchise, if I'm completely honest.
53:42If the experts are able to rip into my business, and I'm happy, I love criticism.
53:46You haven't got a business, have you?
53:47A business plan.
53:48I go above and beyond in all that I do, and I'll make sure that I make this business a
53:52success with your guidance.
53:53I'll give you 10 out of 10 for putting yourself forward.
53:57Well, look, only one of you can go through to the final five.
54:03I have to consider what's the best option for me at the moment, yeah.
54:12Quite a bit of a dilemma here.
54:14Rothner, one can't ignore the fact that you didn't sell anything.
54:19Lord Sugar, I was key.
54:20I don't want to hear any more at the moment.
54:23Dan, looking at the sales, had you had pushed pets at home, your team would have won.
54:29So it's a tough one.
54:33However, Rothner, you sold nothing, and at least Dan did sell 2,000 pieces.
54:39So you've been really impressive in this process, but I have to tell you that regretfully,
54:47your journey is over now.
54:49You're fired.
54:51Thank you very much for the opportunity.
54:52Good luck, Rothner.
54:54Good luck, sir.
55:03So Dan, you're through to the final five.
55:06You know what that means.
55:08You're going to have to be grilled by my advisors.
55:12So I wish you luck as far as that's concerned.
55:15Okay.
55:15Well, thank you, Lord Sugar.
55:16Okay.
55:17Hold on down.
55:24I'm guided.
55:25However, I've done this whole thing with integrity, and I'm really proud of the way I conducted myself.
55:30You know, this isn't the end for me.
55:31If anything, I'm going to utilize everything that I've learned from this and just go on to be successful.
55:37I actually don't have a clue who's going to come back.
55:39I think both of them are going to be fighting very, very hard.
55:42It literally is the final five interviews are next.
55:45So who can he see himself working with?
55:48Yeah.
55:48Like, they're both strong candidates.
55:49So who can he see himself working with?
55:51Oh, my God!
55:52Oh, no!
55:53Oh, no!
55:54Miller has arrived!
55:55Hello, mate!
55:57Oh, my God, mate!
56:00Dan!
56:01Come sit.
56:02You've got to tell us, mate.
56:03OK, well, look, obviously, it was really upsetting for me to see Rothna go because she put up a really,
56:07really great fight, you know?
56:09Oh, babe.
56:09That's a big pressure.
56:12Like, you guys know I was so quiet in the beginning, and I remember, like, in the hotel before we
56:17left Hong Kong, everyone was eating in the hotel, having dinner, and there wasn't enough space on the table, so
56:23I was sitting by myself, and Rothna was like, come sit with me.
56:28And then I don't think I would have got this far without her.
56:30She's a really tall person.
56:32She, yeah, really loved.
56:33But what they did say to me when I left is that we're going to get a really big grilling
56:37on our business plans, so they said, be prepared.
56:41Wow.
56:41Yeah.
56:45Now, five candidates remain.
56:48Lord Sugar's search for his next business partner continues.
56:55Next time...
56:56Feels like I'm going to throw up.
56:57Tough questions.
56:58You don't keep us out of accounts.
57:01Correct.
57:01Well, I would call that a hobby, then.
57:02Tough talk.
57:03Do not give me cocky answers.
57:06It's not cocky.
57:07That couldn't have gone any worse.
57:08And in the boardroom...
57:10Are you having a laugh or what?
57:11Tough luck.
57:13You're fired.
57:26...
57:30...
57:36You're fired.
57:38Yeah, it's no way to RM O'Riss-O'Riss.
57:42You're fired.
