Two individuals, a man and a woman in their 20s, were found drowned after they were believed to have fallen into the sea while kayaking at Pantai Merdeka, Sungai Petani on Saturday (April 4) afternoon.

00:36They were reportedly moving from one location to another when they encountered strong waves, and their kayak is believed to
00:44have become entangled in a fisherman's net.
00:46A C.P. Hanyan said several other kayaks were also involved in the incident, and some had capsized, but the
00:53other occupants were successfully rescued.
00:56The bodies of the two victims have been sent to the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital for post-mortem, and investigations
01:03are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the incident.
