00:00Oh
00:30The last few weeks have been really difficult and set us back quite a bit with low recovery, low ounces
00:39an hour and lots of hours, and lost production, and just being a general pain in the ass.
00:46Parker Schnabel is ready for a new chapter in his season, and is launching an all-out blitz to hit
00:54his 10,000-ounce goal by getting over 600 ounces this week.
01:00We've got four plants back up and running now, which is really good.
01:05We've got Gigi, the golden goose, running the new plant's awesome.
01:10You know, Gigi is a really nice addition to the sluicing fleet, and so that's, you know, hopefully going to
01:18put us over the top, because it does run a bit more yardage than any of the other plants on
01:23the mine site.
01:24With Dominion Creek firing on all cylinders, Parker's relying on his other claim, Kennan Stewart's, run by foreman Mitch Palashki,
01:34to be the difference maker this week.
01:39Just, like, spread really thin, and, you know, Mitch has done an incredible job without having a ton of equipment.
01:49Well, right now, I'm in the 550 here at Ken's, loading rock trucks, and we are barely keeping up with
01:55the rock sand.
01:58Wash plant rock sand is running all out, putting pressure on Mitch's two rock truck drivers to stay ahead of
02:06the pay pile.
02:09Here at Ken's, it's all about yardage.
02:12The ground here in Cut2 isn't real high quality, so we've got to get through the volume.
02:17And in order to do that, I need, you know, as many trucks down here as I can get.
02:22You know, we've been pushing everything since the start of the season here.
02:25Everybody's getting tired.
02:31Yeah, so Mitch is pretty frustrated right now.
02:34We need some support.
02:36Like, they want us to get all this pay out of here.
02:40We need some help, for sure.
02:48Hey, Bailey, how's she going today, buddy?
02:51Yeah, I'm just feeling super tired towards the end of the season here.
02:55Yeah, that happens, buddy.
03:16Mitch, you got a copy?
03:18Bailey, you got a copy?
03:20I got sucked into the ditch a bit.
03:24Fox is really close to tipping.
03:27All right, man, I'll be over there in a second.
03:35Holy ,, Bailey.
03:36How you doing?
03:38There's a little bit of piss in my pants, but other than that...
03:46Holy...
03:48When it's lean like this, you can't dump it to get the load out.
03:52You know, you can see the tires are already off the ground.
03:54It'll flip it the rest of the way over.
03:56The last thing we want to do is damage anything.
04:06You want to do it or do you want me to do it?
04:15What are you doing?
04:15What I'm going to do here, I'm going to try to keep a little pressure on this, put it in
04:18drive.
04:19Just give it a little bit of throttle and a little bit of steering input back towards the center of
04:23the road.
04:23And if you feel that cab start lifting at all, just kick it into neutral as fast as you can.
04:28It's the last thing we want is this cab to roll here.
04:29Yeah, copy that.
04:31You ready?
04:32Yeah.
04:42Try and give it a little.
04:57There we go.
04:58There we go.
05:04Man.
05:05Dude, that A-State is smoked.
05:09The A-State holds the front axle suspension system together.
05:17I'm just limping this truck back to Dominion, you know, I've just lost 50% of my trucking crew.
05:22Dude, the pay pile is getting low.
05:25I need trucks rolling.
05:39Yo!
05:41Yo!
05:42What's going on?
05:44Unfortunately, this one here is completely shot.
05:50This A-State bushing is kind of brought out, and I'm a little concerned just because, like,
05:56this plate is completely dropped.
06:03You've got one, two, three, four, five broken bolts.
06:12This is a nightmare.
06:14Those broken bolts are two inches inside of that hole.
06:20The A-40 rock truck has a front suspension axle stay that keeps the front axle aligned when
06:28moving on uneven ground.
06:29It's made up of two shock absorbers and two spherical bushings, all bolted together to the frame of the truck.
06:38But five bolts have broken off inside its housing.
06:42To get them out, holes will need to be drilled into the bolts so an extractor tool can fit inside
06:50and unscrew them.
06:52Then, the A-State can be pulled apart and new parts installed, allowing the truck to be driven safely.
07:01Every hour we're not moving material is, uh, putting us behind.
07:05I get that, dude, but I think the fastest thing to do is just, we just fix this.
07:08But we don't, we can't give you a spare right now.
07:10I mean, I don't, I don't have a spare available here.
07:13There's no spares around here, man.
07:14Nothing?
07:15No. Tyson's not going to give up any trucks.
07:17Well, maybe I'll just go take one.
07:19I think, I think you should.
07:20We're going to have to figure something out, because otherwise we're going to turn off the wash plant.
07:33Let's go find Tyson and see if we can get ourselves a rock truck.
07:40You know, I've only got two rock trucks down at Ken's, and one of them's gone down.
07:44So, we definitely can't keep the plant going with what we got.
07:47There he is right there.
07:49Perfect.
07:53Hey, man, how's it going?
07:54Pretty good, you?
07:55Oh, had better days in search of a rock truck.
07:59We got the front axles about ready to fall out of one of ours.
08:02So, I took it to the yard.
08:03Janko's working on it.
08:04He's got the parts, but he's going to be a bit to get it running.
08:08And I was hoping you had a spare that I can grab, get back down there so we can keep
08:11sluicing.
08:13We don't really have a spare, man.
08:15We're running flat out here with three wash plants.
08:19Yeah, I hear ya.
08:23I don't know what to say, because, yeah, every, every truck's being used.
08:27And, you know, one, you know how it is when you're running lots of trucks.
08:31One goes down, another gets up, and it's...
08:35I mean, if I don't get a truck and get back down there, like, Roxanne's going to shut down.
08:40Right.
08:40So, I mean, I could, I could really use the favor today, bud.
08:46I mean, I know it's not ideal, man, but I just, if we're going to hit 10,000 ounces, we've
08:52got to try and keep all these wash plants running.
08:55It'd do me a huge favor if you had something I could, I could grab right now, man.
09:02Right, well, I just can't do that, man.
09:09Thanks. No worries.
09:15This is .
09:33Last week was a big blow.
09:36You know, we spent almost two months stripping this Valhalla cut.
09:40And when we got to the bottom, you know, right above pay, we got the worst news, basically, at least
09:4420 feet of clay on top of that.
09:45And we do not have the time this year to deal with it.
09:48So we had to abandon that and move on.
09:51And it's a, it's a, that's a big one.
09:53That's a big up.
09:55Rick Ness is licking his wounds.
09:58After spending a million dollars on his Valhalla cut, he hit a clay layer blocking his path to the pay
10:05dirt.
10:06Rick doesn't have enough time to break through it this year.
10:10And now he's heading back to another spot he abandoned earlier this season.
10:17We've got no choice now.
10:18We've got to return to Vegas Valley.
10:20We've got pay dirt.
10:22We know it's good.
10:23We know it's got a lot of gold.
10:24We still have a lot of work to do to make it safe.
10:29Last year, Rick's Vegas Valley cut saved his season, paying out nearly $2.1 million in just three weeks of
10:38running.
10:39Woo!
10:44Seven weeks ago, Rick and his crew tried to return to the hotspot.
10:51I don't like this.
10:55It's too dangerous.
10:56But we're forced to pull the plug.
10:59Hey, Bailey, let's get the out of here.
11:01We need to get this set up better.
11:03We're not ready for this.
11:04With the unstable wall making it too hazardous to mine, Rick decided to gamble on opening a brand new cut,
11:12Valhalla, hoping to hit an even bigger score.
11:16If we do this, we're not just risking our gold bonuses or your gold, but it could be the end
11:22of the company as well.
11:25Now, with the little money he has left, he's back where he started.
11:31We've got a bit of an overhang of permafrost that's hanging over it and I just don't like it. It's
11:35not safe right now. There's nothing I can do about it. I have to clean it up.
11:38If this new plan doesn't pan out, Rick has one final option.
11:44Tony Beats came here and he gave me an offer on this ground to buy everything. It's a really good
11:50offer. It's starting to look like maybe the smartest thing I could do.
11:54And I turned it down, but nothing's off the table forever.
12:01Yeah, you know, I think this is, you know, our best plan of action is just trying to get down
12:06to pay as quick as we can. We know there's pay here. Pretty sure Rick knows what the he's doing.
12:11He can probably show me a few things.
12:15To get to Vegas Valley's exposed pay, Rick needs Bailey in the 700 to widen the far side of the
12:23cut, creating more space for their trucking crew.
12:27But there's a block of thawing permafrost overhanging the entrance to the cut, making the wall unstable.
12:36Rick must use the 460 to dig back the overhang and make it safe enough to mine the cut below.
12:52Can you hear me right?
12:54Yeah, go ahead.
12:56It definitely probably sucks to be in that 460 right now, not a 700.
13:01I don't know how I'm even going to make this work, but that's what I'm going to do. Walk back
13:05and forth a million times.
13:11Harder than .
13:13You know, we don't have a dozer here or any kind of ripper machine to get this permafrost out of
13:17here.
13:19All I've got is our 460, and with this big old kind of held together bucket, you know, you can't
13:25cry about it, you can't just not do it.
13:27You just have to do it.
13:35What the f*** is that?
13:38What the f*** is that?
13:39F***, man.
13:40Can you...
13:42Ah, dude!
13:50oh great that's the first
14:01yeah this is not what we need right now it's the only other excavator and they got no bucket now
14:08Rick Ness has hit a major obstacle on his return to Vegas Valley right you got a copy
14:18yeah I just ripped the floor out of a bucket on that 460 it's completely gone
14:24I guess I don't know what you're gonna do about it but I'm gonna I guess I'm gonna get this
14:27machine
14:27out of here if I can and we're gonna have to look for another bucket
14:58what the
15:01I knew it was worn out but I didn't think it was that
15:04I mean I've seen it I've seen it happen before I didn't think this one was there I knew it
15:09was
15:09getting thin looks like it's been patched together before so what's gonna be the quickest you better
15:14go buy a bucket yeah I would get your phone out of your pocket and start making calls yeah figure
15:20out who to call first yeah good luck with that I pretty much do it as soon as that happened
15:27that
15:27we could fix that bucket but it's gonna take way too long we need that machine now so I'm gonna
15:31have to find a new one and get here quick
15:54I mean just because we passed our goal doesn't mean all of a sudden we gonna give up so maybe
16:01we just keep on producing and that'll
16:03There'll be more gold than we ever got out of the ground, and they f*** you up.
16:08Let's not waste the opportunity.
16:10Like, with the gold price being this high, let's keep on going as long as we can.
16:15Klondike kingpin Tony Beetz has been on cruise control,
16:19with two plants sluicing on the Indian River
16:22and Sun Mike's trommel running 24-7 on Paradise Hill.
16:27But last week, Tony stumbled,
16:30spending $4 million on a property he can't mine.
16:35So the whole thingamom that moves, the laces there, that is a mess,
16:40so we've got to sort that out.
16:42But, you know, there's other places we can go.
16:44You're not going to give up that easy.
16:46To bring in even more gold,
16:49Tony wants Sun Mike to dial up his production.
16:54I think we'd better give Mike a challenge,
16:57and they get him to open up the Hester cut.
17:02Last year, we left the Hester cut behind,
17:04and we're well on our way of making the same mistake.
17:09Now, we'd really like to go in there and at least get a chunk out.
17:13Then, you know, at some point, we'll have at least something to sluice there.
17:23Oh, I wonder who that could be.
17:31Good job, Mike.
17:33Oh, I had better days, had worse.
17:37Then why not put some effort in the Hester cut?
17:41Let's start by the plan of pumping the water out first, Mike.
17:44Putting the pipe in.
17:46And then we'll take it from there.
17:49It'll be worth the effort.
17:50There's no question about that.
17:52We're doing good stuff.
17:54Okay, good enough.
17:55First, we need to move them old dredge boilers out of the way.
17:58That's when the dredges used to come around here.
18:07Whoa, what the f*** was that?
18:12Five years ago, Tony discovered two old-timer dredge boilers at the Hester cut.
18:20That's pretty big a f***, huh?
18:23Wow.
18:24That has to be gold enough.
18:27From 1913 until the 1960s, the old-timers dredged the Hunker Valley for gold.
18:34And on one legendary day, they pulled in 800 ounces.
18:40I'm excited about this, to be honest with you.
18:43Tony thinks they abandoned the dredge at his Hester cut, leaving behind a pocket of rich virgin ground.
18:53If I'm correct, then there is no other piece on Hunker virgin ground left as big as this.
19:00But the spot has been Tony's perennial end-of-season nemesis.
19:06It's full of f*** water.
19:11Talk about a waste of f*** time.
19:16Now, he's determined to conquer the cut.
19:20Last year, we had troubles with the water running out of the bank, so that was kind of f***ing us
19:24up.
19:24I was just thinking, when we started digging it out, we should start with the wall first, if anything.
19:28Because then, if anything slumps down, we don't have to worry about it no more.
19:30We'll be taking this side out down here.
19:32We'll be plonging away at all that all the f*** away along.
19:36Yeah.
19:37Because the slope is f***ing out, you know.
19:39It is.
19:53Before he can pump out the water, Tony needs to remove the old dredge boilers,
19:59then make the hillside safe from sloughing into the cut by digging it back and trucking the mud out.
20:08Wouldn't hurt if it would give Mike a hand with it, anyway.
20:12But I like doing these hotball things, yeah.
20:16Well, it is not my first rodeo, so to speak.
20:19We're going to get them boilers out of the way.
20:22I'm going to kick this one over the bank.
20:28Well, that's nothing spectacular.
20:30Let me f***ing do that again.
20:32Just when you want something to tumble down the f***ing hill, it doesn't.
20:39That makes for a whale better show now, it doesn't.
20:42No skill required for that one, wasn't it?
20:44Perfect.
20:46Put the other one over there, too.
20:55So now to be sure if the boilers are off the hillside down there, start digging it out.
21:02You know, you've got to have a plan.
21:05We're going to put trucks on those lids, so you want it to be safe.
21:15He's going to have to clean it off a bit, level it off so the trucks can get up to
21:18him flat.
21:19But then what I would like to do, Zach, is back them f***ing up in here, yeah.
21:25Okay, sounds good.
21:26With a stable ledge, the trucks can start hauling the mud out.
21:32Hopefully it all goes smooth, and then, yeah, I'll be happy.
21:35But if it is consistent f***ing f***ing, then no, I really ain't going to be happy.
21:53Good job done.
21:56Wall dug back.
21:57Now Mike and his crew can focus on draining the cut.
22:02Good job done.
22:04Get pumping, Mike.
22:05I want that cut dry by the end of the week.
22:07End of the week?
22:09Right?
22:10Let's f***ing get on it.
22:13Everything on that fuel roll is tight, right?
22:15Yeah, okay.
22:17Fire and all!
22:31We've got to take the water out.
22:33There's got to dry up.
22:34There's a whole bunch of things down there.
22:36Let's get on with the program.
22:38Because otherwise, if we don't hurry up, then it ain't going to happen.
22:56We're trying to catch up here.
22:58Having that rock truck go down definitely didn't help us out.
23:01You know, we're behind right now.
23:03Foreman Mitch Blaschke is feeling the pressure, with Parker relying on him for a good haul this week.
23:11He's been down to one rock truck hauling pay for the last 24 hours.
23:25How's it going, man?
23:27It's a big cut.
23:28We're gaining on it.
23:30Yeah, which is good.
23:33What do you think?
23:33Do you think we're going to get through this?
23:36It'll be close.
23:37You think it'll be close?
23:39I'm a little concerned about it.
23:40We're hauling pay up there just while I have, like, one truck.
23:45All right.
23:46Yeah, I don't really have anything else.
23:48We're still going to have to keep the circuit going.
23:51There's nothing we can do about it.
23:53Just do as good a job as you can, right?
23:59You know, the truth is, Dominion, that's a priority right now.
24:03Okay.
24:04Which is a little bit problematic for you, but it won't be for long, I don't think.
24:08Okay.
24:15Okay.
24:16All righty.
24:17Well, we'll keep at it.
24:19Thanks, man.
24:20All right.
24:20No worries, man.
24:27You know, we've all got to learn to share our resources up here.
24:30There's a lot going on, but, you know, one truck down here is 50% of my fleet at the
24:35moment.
24:35For some reason, it's still not here.
24:38Man, it should have been here hours ago.
24:40So, just going to get a hold of Taylor here.
24:45Yeah, hey, Taylor, man.
24:47Just down here at Roxanne, we're not going to be able to keep up with this thing.
24:52Dude, I don't know what to tell you, man.
24:54It's not going to take us too long.
24:56We can get this thing up and running for you.
24:58Okay.
24:58Thanks, man.
25:01The rock truck's fix has been delayed due to five broken bolts inside the A-Stay housing.
25:10I'm just finishing up here, trying to get this last bolt out.
25:17Once I get a hole through it, I should be able to tap an extractor through it and try to
25:22take it out.
25:27Nice.
25:29Cut all the way through it.
25:43I finally got these broken bolts out.
25:45With the final bolt out, Janko and Taylor can now separate the A-Stay and remove the worn parts.
25:55So, we need to lift up this front end of the truck here to split the A-Stay from the
26:01frame
26:01and then get it pounded out and get the new parts put back in.
26:08Just trying to get this thing right on the tow hooks to lift it.
26:13This A-Stay should start separating.
26:16Yeah, there we go.
26:20Okay.
26:20Hopefully, this thing will just fly out of here.
26:24Beauty.
26:26We got these, and now I'm ready to install them.
26:29Everything's all cleaned up, ready to go.
26:41So, this is going to push this bushing into this housing.
26:47As you can see, it's going up nice and easily now.
27:01Oh, awesome.
27:02It's seated.
27:02Should be able to send this thing to work right away.
27:08Hey, Mitch.
27:09This truck is good to go.
27:11Hey, Billy.
27:12Go get your truck, man.
27:12We got some pay at all.
27:23We're the game team out here, baby.
27:26Mitch and his skeleton crew are back to full strength
27:29and must now play catch-up to deliver a big haul this week.
27:34Man, it's so nice to have in that rock truck here now.
27:36It's making a huge difference.
27:38We're getting caught up, and it is putting a dent in this material.
27:42You know, it took a little bit to get it here,
27:44but it's certainly worth the wait.
28:02Well, today I'm in Austin City.
28:05I don't get over here too often anymore,
28:07but I need a bucket for my 460 excavator.
28:10We're hoping to get a good deal on one.
28:13This is where the gold rush happened.
28:14This is where everybody came to,
28:15and they were in the gold fields just outside of this town
28:19trying to make their fortune.
28:20There's a lot of gold out there.
28:23I mean, there is still good ground here,
28:25but it's real hard to come by.
28:27You know, people have had it locked in for a long time,
28:29and Parker and Tony probably have the bulk of it,
28:32if I'm being honest.
28:33I mean, they both have tons of ground,
28:36and they're making a fortune.
28:40I've seen a lot of people come and go since I've been here,
28:43and not a whole lot of people stay.
28:45Somehow I've managed to stay for 13 years.
28:49Rick is heading to the Hunker Creek turnoff,
28:51which leads to some of the biggest gold mines in the Klondike.
28:58I've only been to this spot once before.
29:00It's, uh, look at this stuff.
29:04Look at that money to burn.
29:06Fanny D11.
29:10There's a sign that says Office on it.
29:13It's got to be it.
29:19All right.
29:21Hopefully he's around.
29:25Poppa Dog.
29:26Wet Dog.
29:28What's up?
29:29What's going on, man?
29:31Who's Wet Dog?
29:32That's Bosco.
29:33Have you met Bosco?
29:34No, I haven't.
29:35How's it going?
29:36Good, man. Good to see you.
29:37It's a pleasure.
29:38Oh, yeah.
29:38No, I'm having a blast still.
29:39That's good.
29:40I mean, there's a brand new D11 sitting there.
29:42That's cool.
29:43Fresh off the track?
29:44How many of them?
29:46That's number five.
29:48Elevens?
29:48Yeah.
29:49Holy up.
29:51I've heard rumblings.
29:52How many wash plants?
29:53Four.
29:54Oh, yeah.
29:55This is, especially with gold prices up,
29:57this has become a much bigger sluicing project,
29:59so you just have to have the wash plants going.
30:02Yeah.
30:03Slammed.
30:03Hence four plants.
30:04Yeah.
30:05What else is new?
30:07I need to find a bucket.
30:09Let's go have a look around.
30:11Cool.
30:13Oh!
30:15Oh!
30:16Oh!
30:16Oh!
30:16Oh!
30:22What's your season been like?
30:23Hmm.
30:25Chasing a girl.
30:26You know.
30:27Sure.
30:28Same as you, probably.
30:31I don't know.
30:32I'm not chasing any single one anymore, ever.
30:36Do you have any pin-on 460 bubbles?
30:38We might.
30:49Oh, right there.
30:51There's these guys.
30:53Dude, I remember that bucket.
30:54I don't think that fits,
30:55because this we used for the coupler, right?
30:58Because we had a coupler.
30:59Yeah, yeah.
31:00I'm pretty sure this is a Hitachi bucket.
31:03Yeah, that's the wrong one.
31:10There's a real peach for you.
31:12That's beauty.
31:13I think this might be your only bet.
31:16I'm not in terrible shape.
31:17No, I'm not too bad.
31:19What do you want for it?
31:20A handshake?
31:21I'm not saying I'm going to give it to you for free.
31:23So maybe you could help us out?
31:25I mean, I would normally say, like, 10 grand,
31:28but that's just because I don't like
31:32dealing with things like this.
31:33I don't know.
31:34Five grand?
31:36Yeah, why not?
31:38Five grand?
31:38Yeah.
31:39Perfect.
31:40Appreciate it.
31:40No worries.
31:42What else do you need?
31:44Half my life back.
31:45Yeah.
31:48Can't help you there.
31:51Do you think about getting out?
31:55I mean, I'd less think about getting out
31:58and just wonder when the out is.
32:00Sell the place.
32:02Eh.
32:04I'll buy it from you.
32:12Sell the place.
32:16I'll buy it from you.
32:24The only other competition is Tony.
32:26He keeps coming down there.
32:29Yeah, he won't pay you what it's worth.
32:31No.
32:31It'd be a bad time to sell, I think.
32:34Well...
32:34No, when gold prices are high,
32:36it's the time to do it.
32:37Yeah.
32:39Okay.
32:40Think about it.
32:41All right, well, I'm sure you need to get back to the grind.
32:43Do I have a few things I need to get wrapped up?
33:02All right.
33:03Good to see you as always, man.
33:04For real.
33:04Good to see you, too.
33:07Well, it's always good to visit Parker,
33:10see what he's got going on out here.
33:11I mean, it's astonishing.
33:12The amount of work that they get done here,
33:14it's just crazy.
33:15It's cool to see.
33:16And I got a 4.60 bucket out of it,
33:18and, you know, got to catch up,
33:19and it's a good trip.
33:21Time to get back to the mine.
33:46Making good progress,
33:47but it looks a bit, huh?
33:48Yeah.
33:48Just as far as you're going?
33:50For now.
33:52Oh, wow, look at that.
33:53Oh, hey, pal, that looks pretty snazzy, you know, huh?
33:56It does.
33:57Wow, Mike.
34:00Mike has drained the Hester cut ahead of schedule
34:03and has already started hauling pay out of the cut.
34:07It looks really well, Michael.
34:09It does.
34:10I mean, now you can drive around in him.
34:12Yes.
34:12Last time I was here,
34:14that looked like that way.
34:16He ain't going to drive no truck over there.
34:17Let's go in there and have a look.
34:20Wow, you know, that looks really, really good.
34:23Yeah, I agree.
34:24Well, this is why I said you don't go in here
34:26unless you're going to come in here full force,
34:28because otherwise, we stop for a week,
34:30it'd look like that again.
34:31Oh, yeah.
34:32I'm honestly a really tickled thing.
34:41You got a 480 in there.
34:43Yeah.
34:44And then there's a whole ass.
34:46Yeah.
34:47Get with it before it gets wet.
34:49That is all slucible material.
34:53Looks like a great job.
34:55Last time I was here,
34:56it looked like water, mud, everything.
34:59Now look at it.
35:00We drive around in there.
35:01We rocked rocks like nothing.
35:05I'd say what we're going to do is,
35:07well, the weather is still really nice.
35:09I'm going to double up in this cut.
35:11All of it as quick as we can.
35:14Fearing that the cut could flood again,
35:17Tony wants to get all gold-rich pay dirt out
35:20as quickly as possible,
35:21so he sends in a fleet of machines.
35:25Right, the other truck,
35:26you're on your way down,
35:27the other truck,
35:27you're on your way down.
35:28There you go.
35:32Put it up a little bit
35:33so you can get out of the way.
35:34Let's go.
35:41We do that five, six trucks
35:42in here, minimum.
35:44Anything to get it done.
35:45Anything to get this out of here.
35:57That truck there,
35:58hurry the up.
36:00It's to the floor, Tony.
36:02I don't give a what it is.
36:03Make it move.
36:08Stop that truck.
36:09Stop that truck.
36:10Mike, you got a truck
36:11so close there.
36:12It's not even funny.
36:14Okay, Monica,
36:15can you stop for a minute?
36:16The other guy, get out.
36:18The other guy, get out.
36:22Rock truck driver.
36:24Rock truck driver.
36:25Hey, moron in the truck.
36:28That's not where my bucket is.
36:29Just load the truck, Michael, please.
36:32I need him over here
36:33so he can get out.
36:34Otherwise, he's gonna be
36:35in the way of the other trucks, too.
36:36Just load the truck, please.
36:38Oh, shit.
36:44Oh, no, where are we going?
36:46Where are we going?
36:49Oh, no.
36:52Will we get up this hill?
36:54Well, we've got no choice but to.
37:03It doesn't want me to go up the hill.
37:10I just got to come at it
37:11from a different angle.
37:12He's getting out of your way,
37:13so you just got to back it up a bit.
37:18Monica beats.
37:20She got stuck.
37:24Come on, little truckie.
37:25You can do it.
37:30Good.
37:35Two hours later,
37:37the operators have found
37:38their stride in the chaos
37:40and are starting to build a pay pile.
37:45So basically,
37:46he's hauling the white channel off now.
37:49That looks really nice.
37:53I've looked at this
37:54for 40 years,
37:55so it's about time
37:56we're gonna see the bottom of it,
37:58you know what I mean?
38:02That looks pretty good, Mike.
38:05Thank you, Monica.
38:10Cut.
38:11Now under control,
38:13Monica heads back to Indian River
38:14to clean more gold.
38:17It's nice to see Mike and Monica
38:19working together again for a bit.
38:21You know, it's always nice
38:22to see you guys work together.
38:26Tony tells you he's proud of you
38:28by not telling you
38:31he's proud of you.
38:33And that's just how that is.
38:35That's how it'll always be.
38:40If he calls you,
38:42it's probably better
38:43than if he says
38:44you've done a great job.
39:04So, yeah, back up with the 460.
39:06He finally got a bucket on it.
39:09You know, I went all the way to Parker's
39:10and he was nice enough
39:11to sell me one.
39:14You know, getting this permafrost out of here
39:16so we can get back into Vegas Valley.
39:19After five days of work,
39:21Rick has nearly dug back
39:23the overhanging permafrost
39:25while Bailey has widened the bottom pit,
39:28ready for his rock trucks
39:29to start hauling.
39:37That should do it right there.
39:39I feel a hell of a lot better about that.
39:43Oh, yeah.
39:45Hey, Bailey, you got a copy?
39:47Yeah, go ahead, Rick.
39:49Yeah, I feel a hell of a lot better
39:50about this overhank.
39:51I got it all pulled back
39:52and I think that
39:52you continue the way you're going now
39:54and we'll be in business.
39:55Just get after it.
39:57That's great, man.
39:58Thanks.
40:01Rick's crew can finally get to work
40:03digging for gold
40:04at the bottom of Vegas Valley.
40:12You know, Tony made me this big offer
40:13on the ground
40:14and I really didn't even think about it
40:15because I liked the direction we were heading
40:17but now, you know,
40:19Parker's offer,
40:20who knows,
40:20that might be the answer for the future.
40:22There's a lot to think about.
40:28It's really f***ing with my head.
40:42Hello.
40:43Hi, guys.
40:44Long time no see.
40:45Long time no see.
40:47It's nice to get in that Hester,
40:49isn't it?
40:49Yes.
40:51That we're finally going to get serious
40:52in the Hester cut
40:53because I'd really like to see
40:55what's going to come out of that.
40:56So do I.
40:57The Beetz family
40:58already have
41:00a record gold haul this season.
41:02Should we weigh it up?
41:03With the two wash plants
41:05in the Indian River
41:06averaging over 450 ounces a week,
41:09the only question is,
41:11how much more
41:13can they get this year?
41:15So there's a sluice a lot.
41:16Are you counting?
41:17Okay, do it.
41:18Let's see what we got out of there.
41:2120, 40, 60, 100,
41:25150, 180, 200,
41:27230, 240, 250,
41:30260, 267.9.
41:36That is saying
41:37as good a sluice a lot
41:38has done or what?
41:39Yeah, sluice a lot
41:40has been down a little bit,
41:42but it's up again now.
41:43Yeah, it was good, though.
41:44So which one is next?
41:45Find a lot?
41:46Find a lot.
41:47Perfect.
41:47I'll count it.
41:48Let's see what we got.
41:5010, 20, 30, 40,
41:5150, 60,
41:54100,
41:55130,
41:57160,
41:5880,
41:59200,
42:00220,
42:02247.5.
42:04In just one week,
42:05Tony's two plants
42:07have delivered
42:08nearly $2 million.
42:09That's a pretty good
42:11haul, all right?
42:13True.
42:14Let's do the trommel.
42:15Ready to weigh it up?
42:16Yes.
42:1910, 20,
42:2030, 40, 50.
42:22As well as opening
42:23the Hester,
42:24Mike's crew have run
42:25Paradise Hills Trommel,
42:27averaging 215 ounces a week.
42:30310, 320,
42:32340, 380,
42:34400,
42:38408.46.
42:40All in,
42:41a massive
42:43924 ounces,
42:45worth
42:46over
42:46$3.2 million.
42:50The Beats'
42:51best ever
42:52gold weigh.
42:53It is crazy.
42:55At the gold price
42:55as it is,
42:56that's just not
42:57normal.
42:58I mean,
42:58look how much
42:59it is worth.
43:00It's just crazy.
43:01Yeah.
43:02That's awesome.
43:04The Beats'
43:05season total,
43:088,257 ounces.
43:10Nearly
43:12$28.9 million
43:14in gold.
43:16Anyway,
43:17that's pretty
43:17decent gold this week.
43:19A lot of bucks,
43:19guys,
43:20a lot of bucks.
43:20You guys should
43:21clean this up.
43:22Yep.
43:22Clean up,
43:23let's get more,
43:23let's get with it,
43:24let's get at it.
43:25How's that?
43:25All right?
43:26Bye.
43:27Make some more.
43:28Sounds like a plan.
43:29Go get it,
43:29go get it,
43:30but the times are good.
43:31Bye.
43:31Anyway,
43:32young lady,
43:33I've got to go,
43:33so we'll catch you later.
43:35Okay?
43:35Bye.
43:44Yo, yo.
43:45Hey, man.
43:46After Tony's
43:47monster gold way,
43:49Parker is now
43:51470 ounces
43:52behind.
43:53We're swamped
43:54down here,
43:55back to four plants
43:56again.
43:57Yeah,
43:57finally.
43:58Oh.
43:59You able to keep
44:00Roxanne going all week?
44:03We were,
44:04yeah.
44:05That's good.
44:06I know Mitch and Tyson
44:07bite its heads a little bit,
44:09but no punches were thrown,
44:10huh?
44:10I'm disappointed in you guys.
44:14I didn't raise your right.
44:16Last week,
44:17Parker's three wash plants
44:19brought in just over
44:21421 ounces.
44:23You want to start a little
44:23big bob?
44:24Bob.
44:24Now,
44:25he has four wash plants
44:27running at full capacity
44:28and wants at least
44:29600.
44:31Come on,
44:31Brennan.
44:31Ready?
44:32Yep.
44:33Bob has been running
44:34in the bridge cut,

44:51Yeah,
44:52that's good.
44:53They've been consistent.
44:54Try to give them that.
44:55Okay,
44:56Tyson.
44:56Ready?
44:57For the first time,
44:59Parker has two plants
45:00sluicing the huge
45:02golden mile pay pile.

45:59Oh, yeah.
45:59Good purchase.
46:00Sick.
46:01Yeah.
46:02I pretty much
46:02almost paid it off.
46:03To hit Parker's goal
46:05this week,
46:06Mitch's plant,
46:07Roxanne,
46:08needs to deliver
46:09over 137 ounces.
46:12The old, uh,
46:13Ken and Stewart's
46:14operation, eh?
46:15Yeah.
46:16All right.
46:16Let's see what we got here.
46:18We got 20,

46:36we had 421.3 ounces.
46:40This week,
46:41it's 606.55.
46:44So we broke 600 ounces in a week.
46:47Wicked.
46:48Back on track.
46:48That fourth plant
46:50makes a world of difference.
46:51It really does.
46:53So where does that put us?
46:54So our season total
46:55is 8,393.65.
46:59Worth
47:00nearly
47:01$29.4 million,
47:04the most ounces of gold
47:06Parker has ever mined
47:08in a season,
47:10putting him back
47:11in the pole position
47:12with over 136 ounces
47:15more than Tony.
47:17There has never been
47:18a better time
47:19to be gold mining ever.
47:21We just need to keep
47:22these things going.
47:24I know it's been
47:25a hell of a year
47:26and at this time of year
47:27things get so difficult,
47:29but I appreciate you guys
47:31just sticking with it
47:32and, you know,
47:34keeping everything running.
47:35That's what we're here for, man.
47:39All right, Jens.
47:42Such a good week
47:43having four wash plants
47:44back running
47:45and, you know,
47:46now we're over 8,000 ounces.
47:48It's in shot
47:49to hit 10,000.
47:50If this weather holds,
47:51we can keep these plants going.
47:53Just got to try
