13:15This is the kind of music
13:16that gets us in trouble.
13:18You know what I mean?
13:19You're all looking fine
13:21enough to make a good dog
13:23break his chain.
13:24Bark, bark.
13:26Bark.
13:27You know that being
13:28in front of so many
13:29beautiful women,
13:30I can't even help
13:32but think of all
13:33all the times
13:34I've made love.
13:37Like,
13:38like so bunches
13:39and bunches of times
13:40for sure.
13:41Oh, you and me both.
13:43Right?
13:43I have also definitely
13:44made love before.
13:47Right?
13:48And it's not even scary.
13:49No, no.
13:50No, we're not
13:51lying about that.
13:53And here's a little song
13:54that proves it.
14:06When my woman
14:07takes off
14:09the clothes
14:10It's a sight
14:12that I surely know
14:14Oh, buddy
14:16It makes me
14:18shout out loud
14:19Joe
14:19Awesome, buddy
14:21Your middle
14:22is my favorite part

14:27Ha ha ha ha
14:28Yes
14:29That's right
14:30Yeah
14:30Yeah
14:32That is a really
14:33good song
14:34And the specifics
14:36of it really
14:36proved that we
14:37have both
14:37definitely made
14:38love before
14:39Yeah
14:39Cause when we
14:41make love
14:41crazy things
14:43happen
14:44Yeah
14:44You do not
14:45have to tell me
14:46that
14:47But if someone
14:48in the audience
14:49could actually
14:49tell us
14:50What
14:52kind of things
14:53happen when
14:53you make love
14:55Yeah
14:56Yeah
14:56You can't be
14:57too specific
14:57No
14:57Don't like
14:58literally say
14:58anything that
14:59happens
14:59Please
15:04Oh, yes
15:05That was a test
15:06That was a test
15:07That was a test
15:07Y'all passed
15:08our little quiz
15:09you sexy ladies
15:10And now
15:11Here's your reward
15:17Yes
15:19Yes
15:20Yes
15:23Oh
15:25Shucks
15:26Come over here
15:28baby
15:28Yeah
15:29Turn off those
15:30lights
15:31Let me run my
15:33hands through
15:34your sexy hair
15:36That's good hair
15:39Now
15:41What
15:42Now what
15:43Just kidding
15:44We totally
15:45know
15:46We know
15:47We know
15:48First step
15:49to making love
15:50Get on the bed
15:52Oh, yeah
15:53Sorry
15:54Sorry
15:55It's so firm
15:56It's technically
15:57a box spring
15:58Yeah
15:58Sorry about that
15:59But the next step
16:01The next step
16:01We take off
16:02all of our clothes
16:03And fold them
16:05very neatly
16:05on the floor
16:07I think
16:07Right
16:09Gadzooks
16:10Your middle's
16:11even better
16:11than the last girl
16:12Middle
16:13Damn
16:14Come a little
16:15closer baby
16:16Don't worry
16:16I don't
16:17bite
16:19Right
16:19That's not part
16:20of this
16:20That's not
16:21what I'm supposed
16:22to do
16:22I don't
16:23Then it's time
16:24to do the thing
16:25humans
16:25have been doing
16:26for hundreds
16:27of years
16:28Oh, yeah
16:30That's when we
16:31when we wake up
16:32the next morning
16:33No, we did
16:34what we did
16:35Yeah
16:36Yes, we did
16:37There's no need
16:37for me to really say
16:38it
16:39Not at all
16:40I'd rather you
16:40not say what we did
16:42Yeah
16:43That's right
16:45We're telling the truth
16:46about having made love
16:47by the way
16:48Oh, yeah, totally
16:48We are totally
16:49telling the truth
16:50And to prove it
16:51let's just say
16:51at the same time
16:52our favorite part
16:54of a woman
16:55Three, two, one
16:57Left leg
17:00Still don't believe this?
17:02Oh, well, you should
17:03Well, let us spell it out
17:04for you
17:05We're talking
17:06S-E double hockey sticks
17:08And this sex song
17:09ought to prove
17:10that we are
17:11experienced
17:12whoopee havers
17:13Let's go
17:17Ooh, baby
17:19I'm moving to the left
17:21I'm moving to the right
17:24I'm moving to the baby
17:26Who tells me what she likes
17:28Tell me
17:30Please tell me
17:31Be specific
17:33What specifically
17:34How does that
17:36Oh, yeah
17:37Thank you so much, everyone
17:39That is our time
17:40I know that was quick
17:41But if I know anything
17:42about that
17:43They make it love
17:43That's a good thing
17:44Yes, sir
17:45We'll see you later
17:45Same sexy time
17:47Same sexy place
17:48Hit it
17:52I'm moving to the left
17:53I'm moving to the right

18:06around the corner
18:07and just went
18:07Great scene!
18:09Yeah!
18:09Wow
18:10And no one prepared me

18:13No
18:14No
18:18Tonight's show

18:33Everyone, please welcome
18:35Jon Hamm!
18:42Be your neighbor
18:45Be your neighbor
18:49Be your neighbor
18:51Baby, that's what I'm talking about
18:53Come on, I love you!
18:57Be your neighbor
19:05That's how you make an entrance.
19:07The one and only John Hamm right there.
19:09Come on.
19:10They love you.
19:12Give the love.
19:14My goodness.
19:15Welcome back to our program.
19:17Oh, man, it feels like I never left.
19:19Happy to have you here.
19:21Did I read that you were an acting teacher in St. Louis?
19:24Yeah, yeah.
19:24I went back to my old high school, taught acting for one year.
19:27No way.
19:27Had some famous student, Ellie Kemper.
19:30No, really?
19:31Yeah, really.
19:32Fantastic.
19:33I got to walk the red carpet with one of my students
19:35on Bridesmaids and also the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
19:39Come on.
19:39That's fantastic.
19:40That's awesome.
19:41Yeah, yeah, no, I was decent.
19:42Did you do auditions in St. Louis when you were starting out?
19:46Well, people don't know the St. Louis hotbed.
19:48A hotbed of the entertainment industry.
19:50Wow.
19:51We did not know that.
19:52I did not know that.
19:53You know why I didn't know that, Jimmy?
19:54Because it's not.
19:55It's not true.
19:55It's not, yeah, no, but...
19:56No, not, but yes, I did, I did audition for my fair share of things there.
20:00What were they, like, local commercials?
20:02Local ads.
20:03I think I did an ad for the Missouri Lottery.
20:05Ooh.
20:05It was very exciting.
20:07A lot of, uh, sort of, you know, uh, they used to call them, uh, what do they call them?
20:11Like, uh, uh, PSA kind of things, you know?
20:15Yeah, I, because I think that we might have found your first, your first on-camera job.
20:22This is an educational health and fitness video called...
20:26Get ready.
20:26...called Flip for Fitness.
20:28Oh!
20:29Remember that?
20:30Oh, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho.
20:30Here, this is real.
20:31This is Jon Hamm talking to the kids about fitness.
20:33This is so real.
20:34Take a look at this.
20:37Hi, now, I'm not here to lecture you, like, like you need another lecture, but, uh, the
20:42governor of Missouri is so concerned with your health that, uh, he wants to spread the
20:45word on fitness, which is why he started the governor's council on physical fitness
20:49and health.
20:50Now, I know what you're thinking.
20:52Fitness is you.
20:54Yeah!
20:55Come on!
20:55All my own wardrobe, I'll have you know.
20:58Was it?
20:59Yeah!
21:01That was my wardrobe.
21:02I brought that in.
21:03Really?
21:03That was also my hair.
21:04That was not a wig, boy.
21:05Wow!
21:07Did you think that you could pull that, that, that hair off these days?
21:10I, I, oh, yes?
21:13Oh, God.
21:17Because, if I may.
21:18I think you may.
21:24There you go, bud.
21:28Oh, a double?
21:32Wow, brother.
21:37I mean, I mean, I mean, this is it.
21:39This is, uh, I got a good flip to it.
21:42This is, all right.
21:43It's a proto Bieber.
21:44You could almost do the Bieber flip.
21:46Yeah.
21:46But it's, uh, it's, the curtains are parted right in the middle, so you can give everybody
21:50a look.
21:51Yeah.
21:51We actually have another, we actually have another clip of you.
21:54Oh, God.
21:54It's really fun.
21:55What, what's this, Joe?
21:57And who says a healthy breakfast has to be cereal and dry toast?
22:00I mean, the original.
22:01Think, uh, egg burritos and salsa.
22:03Think, uh, peanut butter and banana sandwiches.
22:06Think yogurt sundaes.
22:07I mean, whatever gets you going.
22:08I mean, those are all good ideas.
22:10See, the yogurt sundae.
22:11Have a yogurt sundae.
22:12Peanut butter, banana sandwich.
22:14Have a breakfast burrito.
22:15Come on.
22:15Yeah, it doesn't have to be the same.
22:16Oh, come on.
22:17Flip the fitness.
22:18Come on.
22:19Flip the fitness, man.
22:20We're flipping.
22:21Flip that fitness.
22:22Flip that fitness.
22:22Flip it.
22:26In this, in this past year.
22:29It's really hard for me not to fall in love with you.
22:32Um, in this past year, by the way, people have, I can take it off.
22:35Oh, well, okay.
22:35I mean, sorry.
22:37No, yeah.
22:40People have loved your, uh, loved your dance moves lately.
22:44Oh.
22:45Have been going viral.
22:46Yeah, I've, I've gone viral a couple times.
22:48I, I, I, I.
22:49One for Bad Bunny.
22:50I should get a shot.
22:51No, you're still viral.
22:52Yeah.
22:53No, you, you hit Bad Bunny, which is great.
22:55Love that.
22:56And then, yeah, we love Bad Bunny.
22:58And then.
22:59Correct answer.
23:00Correct answer.
23:01Do you have a go-to concert dance move?
23:03No.
23:04You don't.
23:04Uh, you know, I feel the, I feel the, uh, vibrations.
23:07I feel the move.
23:08I feel the music.
23:09Yes.
23:09And I try to express myself in a, in a physical way as much as I can.
23:13Yes.
23:13I'm also 55 years old.
23:16Okay.
23:17Not super flexible.
23:19Okay.
23:20So I don't, you know, I don't, uh, I don't try to do too much.
23:23But you, you do it just enough.
23:25Just enough.
23:25I, I've danced with you many times.
23:27We have danced.
23:28Do you remember, do you remember I had a party in LA once and it was, it was okay.
23:33It was kind of happening.
23:35It wasn't really.
23:35It was, it was, it needed a spark.
23:37It needed something.
23:38It needed a spark.
23:38You came over to me, you go, dude, let's, let's.
23:40We need to get up on a table and start this party.
23:43And we did.
23:45We jumped on a table.
23:46On a backhand and onto a table.
23:47We got the party.
23:48We got the party started.
23:48Yes, sir.
23:49Come on.
23:49That's what we do.
23:51We had to get it going.
23:58Good stuff.
24:00Here's, here's you from your friends and neighbors.
24:04Uh, that's a good looking dude.
24:06Yeah.
24:08Woo.
24:09Yes, sir.
24:10Now, people don't realize I have a, I have several active injuries on my face.
24:13Yes, you do.
24:14Yeah, as well.
24:14I've just been beaten up in the show, but I was having a moment in the club and the
24:18first person to send me this, this meme, meme?
24:21Yes.
24:22Um, was Brian Williams.
24:24Oh, really?
24:24Yes.
24:25The, the, the NBC, the, the newsman.
24:28Yeah.
24:29He's a very talented guy.
24:30He sent me a text and was like, I think you should be aware of this.
24:34It became a giant meme.
24:36Sure did.
24:37And I thought it'd be fun.
24:37Maybe he had something to do with it.
24:39Show you a couple.
24:39Maybe Brian Williams started.
24:40The Briwa bump.
24:41Uh, this meme says, uh, when someone cancels on your plan, so you have to spend the night
24:46in playing games.
24:48Like, oh yeah.
24:49It's multi-purpose.
24:50It's multi-purpose.
24:51It's good.
24:51It's great.
24:52Uh, here's this one.
24:53Says, uh, when you're petting a dog and someone says, wow, he usually doesn't like it.
24:59Yeah.
25:01And this one I like, too.
25:02This one says, when the kids that I love so much fall asleep.
25:06Yeah.
25:07I love them so much.
25:09Go to bed.
25:10Uh, your friends and neighbors, giant hit.
25:13I told you this before, but no one else could do this show.
25:16This is your show.
25:17That is very, very kind.
25:18You're fantastic in it.
25:19Your monologues are great.
25:21Your acting is fantastic.
25:23That's right.
25:24Correct.
25:25Correct response.
25:26Uh, by the way, it's so good.
25:28It got picked up for season three.
25:29Come on.
25:31That's what I'm talking about.
25:33It's a great show.
25:35Uh, tell everyone what's happening this season, this Friday.
25:38This, this, uh, you'll see a little clip of sort of the, the, the setup of the season.
25:41So all of this stuff happened in the first season.
25:44And if you haven't seen it yet, listen, I encourage you, go ahead and watch it.
25:47It's really fun.
25:47It's pretty great.
25:48It's really fun.
25:48But I'm going to spoil it because it's been out for a year.
25:50So what have you been doing?
25:51Yeah, yeah, yeah.
25:52Uh, anyways, the, the, the, the fallout of what happened in the first season, we kind of,
25:55we kind of recap at the beginning of the second season.
25:57And then there's a, uh, an, an event that happens, which I won't, that I won't spoil.
26:02But somebody comes in and kind of disrupts the, uh, the neighborhood.
26:05Yeah.
26:05Who's great.
26:06Yeah, he is great.
26:07Uh, and then, uh, we, we have our pal, Olivia Munn.
26:09Olivia Munn.
26:10Amanda Peet.
26:10Amanda Peet is great in this as well.
26:13So many good folks.
26:14And it's awesome.
26:15Yeah, it's addicting.
26:16Uh, I want to show a clip.
26:17Here's Jon Hamm in the new season of Your Friends and Neighbors.
26:21Take a look.
26:22In a town where perception is nine-tenths of the law, you want to keep up appearances.
26:28Like having an office in Manhattan to go to work in every day, which helps get your co-parenting
26:33back on track.
26:34Let's go.
26:36You're finally feeling comfortable again.
26:38In control.
26:39Safe.
26:40Optimistic, even.
26:47And, as you already know from a painful experience, that's generally when life will serve up a perfectly
26:54aimed kick in the crotch.
26:56Yeah, come on.
26:57Wow.
26:58That is Jon Hamm, everybody.
27:00The new season of Your Friends and Neighbors premieres this Friday on Apple TV.
27:06More tonight's show after the break.
27:07Stick around, everybody.
27:08I'll sing it.
27:09Get your own to the beyond.
27:11Party heaven, we won't guarantee to be like heaven or more.
27:14You don't stop.
27:15We won't ride it in the free...
27:18More than four, a higher level of justice.
27:20More steps beyond dope.
27:22Don't go, smooth and hold the coat.
27:26Our next guest stars in the popular series The Boys, which returns for its fifth and final
27:32season, April 8th on Prime Video.
27:35Please welcome Jack Quaid.
27:37Jack Quaid.
27:40You know I'm evil.
27:43Yeah, I'm talking about a boy.
27:46Yeah, I'm talking about a boy.
27:49Yeah, I'm talking about a boy.
27:51Yeah, I'm talking about a boy.
27:52That's Jack Quaid.
27:53That's Jack Quaid.
27:53Yeah, I'm talking about a boy.
27:59Come on.
28:00That's what I'm talking about.
28:02Jack Quaid, welcome to the show, my friend.
28:05Hi, it's so great to be here, man.
28:06It's nice to see you.
28:07Nice to see you.
28:08This is our first time really meeting, but you and I have shared the screen.
28:12We actually have.
28:13Yeah, you were in the very first episode of The Boys.
28:15You were playing yourself.
28:17Jimmy Fallon is canon in The Boys universe, which is great.
28:20Yes, I am.
28:21And yeah, you crossed it.
28:23You were interviewing Translucent here.
28:24I was.
28:24Translucent was there.
28:25And I was watching you on a screen, so I think we've kind of shared.
28:28We're scene partners.
28:29Yeah, we're scene partners.
28:30Yeah, I love it.
28:31Nice to finally see you.
28:32Thanks for being here.
28:32Of course.
28:34Jack, I want to ask you a bunch of things about The Boys, too, but I also want, I know
28:38you're into improv comedy.
28:41Yeah, I do a lot of sketch, but occasionally someone will have me on their improv show.
28:46And recently, this was really, really cool.
28:48There's this amazing comedian named Connor Ratliff, does all these shows out here.
28:52Yeah, we have some fans in the audience.
28:53Yeah, all right, good.
28:55He does this thing called the George Lucas Talk Show.
28:57He does this amazing podcast called Dead Eyes.
29:00But recently, he had me on a show called The Acting Class.
29:02It's like a fake acting class.
29:04And it gave me the opportunity to do improv with my mom, which was insane.
29:09Who is the coolest?
29:10The one and only Meg Ryan.
29:12Of course.
29:12Come on now.
29:15We love her.
29:16Yeah, it was great.
29:17She was...
29:18How was she?
29:19It was, she was amazing.
29:20She got like, I mean, no surprise, but like giant laughs.
29:23Yeah, she knows how to do it.
29:24She didn't really know what it was, because I wasn't pitching it well.
29:27But she was like, I just want to be part of your world.
29:30I just, I just want to see what you do.
29:33And she crushed it.
29:34Yeah.
29:34It was amazing.
29:35Of course she does.
29:35When did you first get into sketch comedy?
29:37I first got into sketch comedy when I, like when I was a kid, I would make like movies
29:41on my, you know, like a video camcorder with my friends.
29:45I made a, like a 50 minute long movie with my friends called Bicycle Cops.
29:50It's technically a comedy and you get to watch us go through puberty in real time.
29:56Wow.
29:57We shot in sequence.
29:58We didn't know that you could do it out of sequence.
30:0050, five, zero minutes?
30:01Five, zero.
30:02Wow.
30:02It's not good.
30:04No, no, no.
30:05No, no.
30:06It's good and long.
30:07Yeah, very good and long.
30:08And then I got to NYU and I got into the sketch comedy group, Hammercats.
30:12So I, every month I was like doing a sketch show, which was amazing.
30:16I think I know Hammercats.
30:18Yeah.
30:18There's like a lot of people have come from it.
30:20Like back in the day, it was like Donald Glover.
30:23Then it was Rachel Bloom.
30:24Yes.
30:24I got there and I was with like, uh, Steph, Oscar winner, Steph Shue, uh, um, Bowen Yang,
30:31Matt Rogers.
30:31And then after us were like the Please Don't Destroy kids.
30:34Oh yeah.
30:34Yeah.
30:35It was, it was a blast.
30:36I, I love doing it.
30:37True.
30:37Uh, your first thing that you, that you ever started was a show called Vinyl, which I loved.
30:42You were the one person that watched it.
30:44Yes.
30:44I really appreciate that.
30:45It was by, uh, Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger.
30:48Mick Jagger was a producer.
30:49Yeah.
30:49It was incredible.
30:50I would do anything if they, if they were, that's a great party to be in.
30:53It was great.
30:54It took place in the seventies.
30:55It was about the music industry.
30:56And I remember like, yeah, Mick Jagger was a producer.
30:59I'm like 22.
30:59This is my first show.
31:01I'm so intimidated by literally everything and everyone.
31:03Yeah, of course.
31:04Uh, and I remember wrapping a scene one day and, you know, Mick Jagger would come by set sometimes,
31:08but you never really expected him.
31:10And I remember walking down a hallway, just having wrapped a scene.
31:13And then he came around the corner and just went, great scene.
31:15Yeah.
31:16Wow.
31:16And no one prepared me for Mick Jagger whatsoever.
31:20No, no, no.
31:21Wait, wait, what do you even do then?
31:22Do you just, you, you go like, yeah.
31:25Yeah.
31:26Great scene.
31:27That was the one.
31:28That was great.
31:29Yeah, great.
31:30It's like I'm back there.
31:31It's insane.
31:31Yeah, yeah, yeah.
31:32But like in reality, he probably was like, great scene.
31:34Yeah.
31:35But in your story.
31:36Oh, I filled in dancing.
31:38He's on stage.
31:38I filled in, yeah, pointing his fingers.
31:39Fingers.
31:40Yeah, he's so cool.
31:41Let's talk about the boys.
31:43Yes.
31:43It's brilliant.
31:44The final season.
31:45I'm bummed that it's the final, but I'm psyched that it's coming back because I want, I love
31:48it.
31:49Yeah.
31:49It's coming out next week.
31:51And so what was it like shooting that you and the cast, I mean, you obviously know that
31:55it's ending.
31:56We know it's ending.
31:57Thank God we knew going in.
31:59And this is like, you know, Eric Kripke's intentional ending for the show.
32:02Like we're ending on our own terms, which is just so special.
32:05It never gets to happen in TV anymore.
32:07Yeah.
32:08But it was great.
32:09Like I've known these people for like nine years.
32:11It's like five seasons, but it's been nine years of just being on this absolutely insane
32:17show.
32:17Are you totally, it is insane show.
32:20Are you all bonded?
32:22Do you know?
32:22We're so bonded.
32:23We do this thing now when, you know, we shoot really long hours.
32:26And once we hit around 2 a.m., we're just trying to like keep each other awake and keep
32:30each other laughing.
32:31So we enter this phase, which I like to call goof hour, where we are just trying to make
32:36each other laugh at all costs.
32:37So there was a moment this season where I just started doing this thing.
32:41I could sense everyone was dozing off.
32:43Are you familiar with the gingerbread man from Shrek?
32:46Of course.
32:47Okay.
32:48So I would just, I would just, out of nowhere, I would just go, do you know the muffin man?
32:54Like, what are you talking about?
32:56And I'll be like, the muffin man!
33:00Don't tell him anything!
33:02And that, that was, that was like, the cast loved it.
33:06Crew, not so much.
33:07Okay.
33:07Yeah, that's right.
33:08But yeah, that kept everybody's spirits up.
33:10It was good.
33:11Yeah.
33:11Yeah.
33:11But how about the show becomes a hit and people dress up as you for Halloween?
33:15Yes.
33:15It's the, it's the highest form of flattery, in my opinion.
33:19It's like, cause I, when I was a kid, I had a year when I was like four years old,
33:23where
33:23I dressed up like Buzz Lightyear.
33:25Like every day.
33:26It was insane.
33:27I was Buzz, you can't tell me different, but no, seeing people dress up.
33:33So I know what that means.
33:34And seeing people dress up as, you know, Huey, but like, honestly, any character from
33:37the show, like it's the highest honor.
33:40So thank you so much to all the fans who have ever done that.
33:44That's insane.
33:44Uh, in a normal superhero show, everyone usually lives happily ever after in the end.
33:52Is that something that we can expect?
33:53No.
33:54In no way.
33:55No, it's the boys.
33:56You know, it's not going to be a fairytale ending in, in any regard.
34:01Uh, but yeah, like, no, this is the final season and we really do mean that.
34:06There are characters, uh, I won't say who, but who meet their end and it's crazy.
34:12It's really, really nuts.
34:13And it was emotional.
34:15Like, you know, I'm covered in blood a lot on the show.
34:18Um, and it was so weird to, you know, be covered in blood and various goos and then to just
34:24like also be emotional about that, where I'm like, I'm really going to miss this.
34:27And I'm just, head to toe.
34:30Yeah, but it's like, it's just been the honor of my life.
34:33Like, I truly love the show and everyone involved, so.
34:35Yeah, you, you and the cast are fantastic.
34:37You knocked it out of the park on the show.
34:38You're very, very talented.
34:39I want to show a clip.
34:40Here's Jack Quaid in season five of The Boys.
34:43Take a look.
34:44Huey, none of the FBSA people are ever getting out.
34:48It's hopeless.
34:51Look, I should be the last guy who has any hope.
34:53I've been strangled by Ezekiel.
34:55I've been hunted by Noir, chased by sharks inside of a whale.
34:59Shot at by Russians, almost blown up at hero-gasm, and lasered at Vought on Ice.
35:04Look, the point is, oh, and one time I had to sit naked on a chocolate cake.
35:07It's a long story.
35:08The point is, by all sane logic, I should be dead.
35:12Or crazy.
35:13Or both.
35:14Then why aren't you?
35:16Because if you lose hope in here, you're not going to make it.
35:18Jack Quaid, everybody!
