00:00It was a long offseason. It was a long June, July, August, September last year, watching them play terrible baseball.
00:09So, you know, when you finally get yourself past some of the things maybe you disagreed with in the offseason,
00:14even though I didn't disagree with much, and then you come out and that first game, as we talked about,
00:20the lineup's long and it feels like this team is disciplined at the plate.
00:24You know, everybody's got the eye of Juan Soto to turn that into what we've seen here,
00:30which is just absolutely anemic offense, is frustrating.
00:33So you just hope that it doesn't continue. It's not like the San Francisco Giants are some sort of juggernaut.
00:38I mean, it's also annoying that you see the Yankees essentially shut down the Giants like they were a Little
00:44League team,
00:45and then when the Mets play them, you know, seven runs in that first game, yeah, that's a little bit
00:49annoying as well.
00:50But, of course, I mean, all the old adages continue about April and this and that.
00:55It's just that, you know, this is the time you're supposed to be excited about the team,
00:59and it's supposed to be fired up.
01:00Like, Yankee fans right now, that's what I want to be feeling.
01:04I want to be feeling that 5-1 feeling going to Yankee Stadium for opening day
01:10and seeing this team continue to play well, and instead we got a 3-4 team that was mentally checked
01:16out two days ago,
01:18is sloppy in the field and can't get a big hit.
