00:01A priceless, ancient golden helmet from Romania, stolen last year from a museum in the Netherlands, has been recovered, Dutch
00:09authorities announced on Thursday.
00:11Under the guard of heavily armed police, prosecutors unveiled the 2,500-year-old Cotofineshti helmet, one of Romania's most
00:20revered national treasures from the Dacia civilization.
00:22Today, I saw how deeply moved, happy, relieved and grateful my colleagues were when I told them that the helmet
00:31and two bracelets had been found.
00:34We can hardly imagine what this must feel like in Romania, for our colleagues at the National History Museum in
00:41Bucharest and for all Romanians.
00:44The artifacts were stolen from the small museum at the end of a six-month-long exhibition last year.
00:50They were recovered as part of a deal prosecutors reached with three men arrested for the heist shortly after it
00:56occurred.
00:56Their trial will begin later in April.
