00:20The Chinese government renovated on Wednesday its call for the lifting of U.S. illegal sanctions against Venezuela.
00:30And the governments of Russia and Cuba signed a memorandum regarding the joint development of cancer vaccines.
00:41Hello, welcome from the South. I'm Luis Alberto Matos from Dele Soe Studios in Caracas, Venezuela. We begin with the
00:47news.
01:04In Iran, thousands gathered in Tehran's Valiar Square on Tuesday evening to mark Islamic Republic Day.
01:10As U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran continued, citizens waved Iranian flags and held portraits of lead supreme leader Ali Khamenei
01:17while singing the national anthem and chanting slogans.
01:20Similar gatherings took place in Tehran's Tohid and Englehav squares, with the national anthem played across the country as events
01:26were also held in Bandar Abbas and Karaj.
01:29Islamic Republic Day bars the 1979 referendum that established the Islamic Republic after the fall of the monarchy.
01:35The anniversary is observed each year with official ceremony speeches and public rallies.
01:46Iranian President Masoud Peshisqian joined the massive public gatherings held to mark the anniversary of Islamic Republic Day on Tuesday
01:53night.
01:54A large crowd of citizens lined the streets of the capital, Tehran, to see him.
01:58Peshisqian walked through the crowds and listened to several participants.
02:01Despite the U.S.-Israeli aggression in its faces and the continuous escalation of political and economic threats and pressures, this
02:07thing reflects the continued popular momentum of support from the country's leaders.
02:20In Israel, health authorities have reported more than 6,000 injuries since the start of the attack on Iran on
02:27February 28, 2026.
02:28The agency noted that the official toll stands at 6,638 injured in the war against Iran.
02:34It also noted that the total number of hospital admissions since October 7, 23, amounted to 82,956 in the
02:42context of the offensive in the Middle East.
02:45This surge in casualties coincides with Tehran's response to the bombings by Israel and the United States that claimed hundreds
02:52of victims.
02:59And in this regard, emergency services reported that at least 20 people were injured, three of them in moderate condition,
03:04and another 16 with minor injuries, while 14 were transported to hospitals following the impact of Iranian miso fragments in
03:11the main break area east of Tel Aviv.
03:13In addition, approximately 100 people were evacuated due to damage to their homes, while emergency services continued their work in
03:2011 affected localities.
03:22This attack is part of Iran's true promise for operation in response to the constant Israeli-U.S. aggressions against
03:29Iran.
03:35And the Iranian government condemns the actions of the United States in Asia, which violate the sovereignty of Middle East
03:40countries.
03:41Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Irakshi said that Tehran seeks to strengthen its regional ties based on friendship and mutual respect,
03:48with a focus on cooperation.
03:49However, he noted that Washington insults the leaders of Arab countries and that Western media do not condemn U.S.
03:56actions against the Islamic nation.
03:58On February 28th, the United States, together with Israel, launched joint attacks against Iran.
04:03Therefore, Tehran undertook defensive operations against Israeli and U.S. targets.
04:19And the United States has criticized the inaction of North Atlantic Treaty Organization member countries in the face of aggression
04:25against Iran.
04:27U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed his intentions to withdraw from NATO following the conclusion of the conflict in Iran.
04:32The President stated that the North Atlantic Treaty has never convinced him as a military force.
04:37He reiterated that his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, shares his views.
04:40The U.S. President once again criticized his allies' lack of response to his calls regarding the Strait of Hormuz,
04:46indicating that the response should have been immediate.
04:58And in China, the Pakistani foreign minister's visit is boosting international efforts to curb the escalation in the Middle East
05:04and move toward a political solution.
05:06I correspond to Bruno Falsi with the details.
05:11Greetings, comrades.
05:13The Pakistani foreign minister, Mohammed Ishak Dar, is here in Beijing in an official visit to China amid escalated tensions
05:24in the Middle East, following the illegal United States and Israel attacks on Iran.
05:31During his meeting with the Chinese foreign minister, Wang Yi, both countries called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and
05:42the start of negotiations that respect Iran's sovereignty.
05:46China and Pakistan jointly presented a five-point plan.
05:52The first point is to halt the fighting and allow the humanitarian aid to enter.
05:59The second is to resume dialogue respecting the independence of Iran and the countries of the region.
06:07The third point is to protect civilians and critical infrastructure, including energy and peaceful nuclear facilities.
06:17The fourth is to ensure the security of strategic routes such as the Strait of Hormuz.
06:25The fifth and last point is to strengthen the role of United Nations and international law.
06:32This approach seeks to stop the aggression and protect the Iranian people at a time when the conflict is already
06:41affecting the global energy supply.
06:45With this news, from here, the capital of China, we go back with you in the studios.
06:53Germany, the far-right winning system continuing to rely on Russian oil amid rising prices due to the conflict in
06:58the Middle East.
06:59The party alternative for Germany warned of the critical state of the national economy and the aggression by the United
07:04States and Israel against Iran,
07:06and therefore recreated its position that the country should turn to Russia for energy supplies.
07:10It also noted that gasoline prices have risen by more than 15%, which is exacerbating the country's current economic situation.
07:18The political party warned that German companies are suffering due to high energy prices, excessive regulation and the welfare state,
07:25which has been affected by the escalation of aggression in Western Asia.
07:39Russia warns of a potential impact on the energy market due to the war in the Middle East and proposes
07:44a new architecture for global logistics and international trade.
07:48During his speech at the International Logistics and Transport Forum, Russian President Brian Putin noted that Russian logistics routes can
07:54be beneficial from an economic perspective thanks to their production in shipping times.
07:59Putin added that more countries and companies are placing greater emphasis on the security and stability of routes and supply
08:05chains, opting for those not affected by armed conflicts.
08:08Furthermore, the Russian leader stated that another long-term challenge lies in a technological revolution in logistics and transportation and
08:16in the use of artificial intelligence.
08:25The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the death of 30 people following a plane crash on the Crimean Peninsula.
08:32The Cataran Authority revealed that a 26 aircraft crashed with seven crew members and 23 passengers on board in a
08:42mountainous area near the town of Kuisifjevo.
08:45Meanwhile, rescue teams continued to search operations at the crash site to determine the possible causes of the accident.
08:52According to preliminary investigations, the plane lost contact with the Ministry of Defense at 6 p.m., local authority, due
08:59to a technical failure.
09:06The French educational sector mobilized rejected massive levels while demanding salary improvements.
09:12Consequently, protesters marched towards the Ministry of National Education with banners denouncing the educational measures of Emmanuel Macron's government.
09:20Indeed, the education workers signaled that they need a break from austerity policies that dismantled the public education system.
09:25This mobilization is part of a week of action led by unions concerning the government's 2026 education budget, which demands
09:33that around 4,000 teaching positions be cut from the 2026-2027 school year.
09:44Let's now take our first break.
09:46We're going to be right back.
10:14Welcome back.
10:16Artemis 2 is the first crewed mission of the Artemis program and the first journey of astronauts beyond low-Earth
10:22orbit since Apollo 17 in 1972.
10:25This launch attempt, the mission's first, comes after delays in February and March caused by technical issues with the rocket,
10:31including hydrogen leaks and a problem with the helium flow.
10:34The crew, which includes NASA's Raid Weissman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch, along with Canadian space agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen,
10:41could break the distance record set by the Apollo program trolling farther from Earth than any human ever has.
10:56In the United States, the city of New York lifted a nearly three-year ban that prevented municipal employees and
11:01agencies from using the Chinese social media platform TikTok to post content.
11:06New York Mayor Soran Mamdani explained that this change aims to broaden the reach of government information, allowing departments to
11:13publish content relevant to New Yorkers.
11:15The measure includes strict security precautions such as the mandatory use of dedicated devices that do not contain confidential data
11:22and the designation of specific staff to manage the accounts.
11:26This decision reverses the policy adopted in 2023 when New York joined the other state governments and concerns amid concerns
11:33about data privacy.
11:51The government of Russia and Cuba announced the joint development of cancer vaccines.
11:56The Russian government announced that a memorandum on the development of cancer vaccines was signed as part of a partnership
12:01between the two countries.
12:02The announcement came following a meeting of the Russian-Cuban Intergovernmental Commission for Commercial, Economic and Scientific Technical Cooperation.
12:11The cooperation is therefore part of a joint working framework to promote technical capabilities related to personalized treatments.
12:24The international ecumenical leaders arrived in Cuba to reaffirm their solidarity with the island and condemn the U.S. blockade.
12:31The delegation reiterated the support and solidarity of the faithful community around the world amid the complex situation facing Cuba
12:37due to the escalation of the blockade imposed by the U.S. government.
12:40Likewise, the religious leaders rejected the intensification of restrictions imposed by the Donald Trump administration and highlighted the Cuban side's
12:48willingness to uphold the principles of peace through dialogue.
12:51Cuban President Miguel DĂaz Canelo expressed his gratitude for the visitors' shows of support.
13:01We greatly appreciate and attach great significance to your visit.
13:04It confirms that Cuba is not alone and entirely one we are currently experiencing,
13:08but also reaffirming the historic relationship you have had with the Church and the Cuban people.
13:14And care facilities in Cuba are benefiting from the installation of photovoltaic systems.
13:18Several healthcare facilities benefited from the installation of these systems, such as the Carlos Castellanos and Luis SaldĂvar nursing homes.
13:25Subsequently, they have access to electricity that improves the quality of life for the elderly, one of the most vulnerable
13:31sectors of the population.
13:32The installation of photovoltaic systems guarantees a sustainable and reliable source of electricity for the operation of essential equipment and
13:39services in various institutions.
13:46We feel safer in a center where we can handle any existential emergency that may arise at any time of
13:54day, because it is not just about the panels.
13:57They are used not only for lighting, but also to power certain medical devices that are used in healthcare facilities.
14:05And this is one of the most significant benefits we enjoy.
14:09In addition to lighting during the night that allows us to provide a better quality of life for the elderly
14:15who live here.
14:19We have food that we can cook, and we can take a shower a little later since there is still
14:25light, all thanks to the solar panels.
14:27We watch TV, especially the news, which is important.
14:33And in Cuba, the plastic tube company Whole Plus, located in the east of the country, has established itself as
14:39a key part of the national production network by ensuring access to drinking water.
14:44Whole Plus plays a key role by implementing innovations that ensure essential supplies that the plant's production is destined for
14:51these specific sectors.
14:52This division of these vitally equipped the agricultural sector and water infrastructure.
14:56Despite its strategic importance, the company's management emphasized that the factory's operations face challenges arising from the escalation of sanctions
15:04and the economic blockade imposed by the United States.
15:07These measures hinder the acquisition of raw materials and access to spare parts for the production lines.
15:20The United States protests continue in Ecuador amid plans by the National Electoral Council to bring forward local elections.
15:26The protest is being led by the Popular Unity Movement and other social organizations and will march from the Ministry
15:32of Agriculture to the Electoral Authority's headquarters.
15:34This is to denounce various actions by electoral authorities, including the advancement of these sectional elections, which were scheduled for
15:43February 14th, 2027, and moved to November 29th of this year.
15:47Various sectors and political organizations allege that this change may violate political rights and exacerbate the disadvantages faced by those
15:54with pending cases before the National Electoral Center.
16:03And Haitian authorities reported between 30 and 70 deaths as a result of a series of attacks by criminal groups
16:08in the city of Petit Riviere.
16:10During the attacks, the perpetrators set homes on fire and set up barricades in the Yantenese neighborhood, spreading terror among
16:17residents.
16:17The Asian National Police and the Kenyan UN mission attempted to rescue civilians, but trenches docked by gun members blocked
16:23the passage of official vehicles.
16:25The lack of communication and extreme insecurity are preventing an accurate assessment of casualties in what civilians describe as a
16:32lawless territory.
16:39When the Chinese government urged the United States to leave the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Venezuela,
16:45reiterates its commitment to upholding cooperative relations with Caracas.
16:49Furthermore, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning states that the general license explicitly excludes China, Russia, Cuba, Iran, and North Korea
16:58from maintaining cooperative ties with the South American nation.
17:01Here we are from Beijing's opposition to the manipulation and imposition of limits on cooperation between China and Venezuela by
17:07the United States.
17:08It therefore calls on the Trump administration to lift the unilateral and illegal sanctions which allow it to whitewash its
17:15actions harming the legitimate rights of the parties involved.
17:23China firmly opposes the United States' manipulation of so-called general licenses to impose limits in cooperation between China and
17:30Venezuela.
17:31China's legitimate rights in Venezuela must be protected.
17:34The United States should immediately lift its unilateral and illegal sanctions against Venezuela,
17:39instead of manipulating the so-called general licenses to whitewash its actions that harm the legitimate rights of all parties,
17:46including Venezuela.
18:00The Chinese National Meteorological Center issued a general alert due to the thick fog affecting visibility in large parts of
18:07eastern and central China.
18:08There were events intensified from morning until noon in parts of Shandong, Yangtze, Hunan, and Guizhou provinces.
18:14According to the official report, visibility could drop to less than 200 meters, so drivers are urged to maintain safe
18:20speeds.
18:21This measure, the government aims to prevent mass accidents on one of the busiest days of the week for commercial
18:26traffic.
18:32Also in China, at least four people were killed and nine others injured in an explosion on a highway in
18:37the southwest of the country.
18:38The explosion occurred at a construction site on a section of the National Highway link in the provinces of Sichuan
18:44and Hubei.
18:44Rescue workers reported 12 people injured and one missing.
18:48However, three of the injured died after receiving medical treatment at the hospital.
18:52According to authorities, renewable gas is suspected to be the cause of the explosion,
18:57and an investigation has been ordered to determine the cause of the incident.
19:08In Japan, citizens rallied against military deployment and protesters gathered in front of the Fuji Camp of the Ground South
19:14Defense Forces.
19:15The Japanese Defense Ministry announced the deployment of a hyper-velocity colliding projectile for island defense at Fuji Camp,
19:21as well as the deployment of a land-based version of the land-to-ship guided missile at Kenkun Camp
19:27in Kumamoto Prefecture.
19:28In this regard, protesters are voicing their opposition to the Japanese government's measure,
19:33as it affects the stability of the country and the region.
19:41As local residents, we cannot remain silent.
19:44We must speak out to reassure our community and ensure their safety.
19:47This time, they are deploying a high-speed gliding projectile,
19:51but this will continue after Camp Kengun and Camp Fuji.
19:54They will deploy more throughout the country.
19:56We cannot ignore this. We must express our opposition.
20:02As mentioned in the last statement,
20:05the government is ignoring the Constitution with the missile deployment.
20:08It should focus on its primary duty of protecting the lives and well-being of the people.
20:14Missiles have been transported to Kumamoto and deployed there without any explanation.
20:18This is equivalent to deceiving us.
20:20We are extremely outraged.
20:25We are extremely outraged.
20:43From the occupied West Bank, a protest is taking place to reject the Israeli death penalty law against Palestinian prisoners.
20:50The occupied provinces of the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, responded to the call by the Fatah movement and other
20:56national and Islamic forces to condemn the resolution of the Israeli parliament.
20:59The Palestinian mobilization, along with Arab and international efforts, seek to pressure for the repeal of the law that allowed
21:06Saudis to execute Palestinian citizens under the pretext of alleged terrorism.
21:10The protest aims to strengthen the Palestinian people's determination in the struggle for their freedom and legitimate rights.
21:21We have come to the end of this news review.
