00:11This comes a day after announcing a reset of ties with China, despite maritime tensions that don't show signs of
00:17abating.
00:18Executive Order No. 111 makes official the Philippine names of the features, including those not controlled by the Philippines.
00:24Marcos officially instructs the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority, or NAMRIA, to produce and publish updated charts and maps
00:32using the Philippine names of the features.
00:34The charts and maps should also show the Philippine Maritime Zones as indicated in the Philippine Maritime Zones Act.
00:40The EO also orders education government agencies, state universities, and colleges to use the updated maps in lessons.
00:47This could strengthen an internal narrative as the country asserts its sovereign rights and sovereignty claims in those waters and
