MAN FREES TRAPPED GOLDFINCH IN FIELD
WITH VID
BY JAIANSH SHARMA
Checkout this moment a man rescues a goldfinch tangled in plastic twine and safely releases it back into the wild.
Matt Minnis, from Trowbridge, Wiltshire, UK, filmed the moment after heading out to a nearby field one evening.
Upon arriving, he noticed the bird on the ground with its foot and wing caught in blue plastic twine, struggling to free itself.
The footage shows him carefully untangling the goldfinch and checking it before releasing it. After being freed, the bird flies up into a nearby tree and begins to sing.
The moment captures a timely intervention, with the bird able to escape what could have been a dangerous situation.
Viewers reacted warmly in the comments.
One wrote: “I'm so glad you did. How sad if nobody found him. You both were blessed at that moment.”
Another added: “A moment that was meant to be. That wee bird was so very lucky to have you there to minister that gentle care. Well done!”
