00:08The government has raised its energy security alert to a warning level,
00:12citing rising uncertainty over global supplies.
00:17From April 8th, an odd-even license plate system will limit when government vehicles can be used,
00:23affecting about 11,000 public institutions.
00:26A five-day rotation system will also restrict access to about 30,000 public car parks.
00:33Participation from the private sector will remain voluntary.
00:37Authorities are also urging flexible working hours, less travel
00:41and greater use of video conferencing to cut energy use.
00:45The government says the measures could be expanded nationwide
00:48if oil prices rise to between $120 and $130 a barrel,
00:54level not seen since the 1991 Gulf War.
