00:31Hello, everybody. It's Tuesday, the 31st of March.
00:34Welcome to Countdown.
00:35I'm sitting here with two wrong feet and ugly shoes
00:38and ready to guide you through 15 rounds of letters and numbers.
00:42The case for the defence, as always, comes from Susie Denton,
00:45joined all week by the brilliant Mike Bobbins.
00:48And we've heard her say this many times before.
00:51How about this for a number?
00:53Rachel Riley's here.
00:54And three great quotes from, I think...
00:56I'll go and say it.
00:57I think it's one of the greatest movies of all time.
00:59And certainly one of the most re-watchable movies of all time,
01:02which is 2000, Julia Roberts, I think, at her best,
01:06and Erin Brockovich.
01:08And, of course, the real-life story of Erin Brockovich,
01:11which, of course, we know we go to the small town of Hinkley
01:13and Poisoned Water in a class-action suit.
01:16Just in case anyone hasn't seen it, I don't want to spoil it any further.
01:19But I don't know where you rank it on your movie list.
01:21We're both big Julia Roberts fans.
01:24And even Steel Magnolia's Pretty Woman and all,
01:26I think it's her at her absolute best.
01:28I mean, I watched it at the time.
01:30It's a great movie, but I can't say I've revisited it.
01:32Whereas you know full well that I've watched Pretty Woman
01:35back-to-back twice in a row.
01:36But I love those kind of legal dramas, and it's amazing, isn't it?
01:39Over the years, it's the same storyline,
01:41and it still seems to happen in various places in America.
01:45And it's that conspiracy and the big corporate.
01:47It just gets us, doesn't it?
01:49And when you see on a movie gang, you see based on a true story,
01:53you take it with a pinch of salt.
01:55So after the movie was made, the real Erin Brockovich
01:58went to the screening or the first viewing of it.
02:02And, of course, they asked her the question,
02:04how accurate was it, actually?
02:06And she said about 98%.
02:08Now, I love that.
02:10And I think it makes the movie, Susie, so much more powerful.
02:13I agree.
02:13And I think Julia Roberts actually worked with her quite a lot.
02:16So she absolutely nailed it.
02:19I agree.
02:19It's an absolutely brilliant film.
02:20Well, listen, we're all very excited because it's a green day today.
02:23If you haven't been watching the last few episodes,
02:25David Bateman's been using this old-school four-coloured pen
02:29that we used to all have as kids.
02:31And we're on the last colour today.
02:34And, listen, how did we get there?
02:36Because you've had three really close contests.
02:39How are you feeling about the later rounds?
02:41Because I'm lost in admiration for how you hold it together.
02:44I'm just taking it one round at a time.
02:46That's it.
02:47That's all that's in my head.
02:48Do you look quite calm?
02:49Are you inside?
02:50Are you quite nervous when you're playing?
02:51Nervous, yeah.
02:52Yeah, really.
02:53Because when we go backstage after the episode,
02:56you're reliving every round and you're like,
02:58I can't believe I didn't get that.
03:00But you should have such confidence.
03:01Ninety-eighths and high-ninety scores.
03:03Be good to get the first century today, wouldn't it?
03:05Yeah.
03:06Well, listen, there's a bit of a steward's inquiry
03:08when it comes to the challenger today.
03:11He's from Penarth in South Wales.
03:12Calm down, Bobbins.
03:13You don't know everyone in Wales.
03:15Well, actually, he does.
03:16His dad and I play golf at the Worgenthal Golf Club quite a lot.
03:20Spent many a Sunday afternoon regaling every putt and missed putt.
03:25And, yeah, very big character.
03:28Oh, I love it.
03:29My dad's like, well, he's a lot like me, isn't he, Reece?
03:31Yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:31You see where you get it from.
03:32Yeah, yeah.
03:34Annoying.
03:35Yeah, he's annoying.
03:35All right, so just a big hi to Bob Bubbins if he's watching.
03:38Yeah, shout out to Bob.
03:39I hope he's watching.
03:40It's quite nice.
03:40I just met Reece and someone said that Reece knows your dad.
03:43Yeah.
03:43This is very Welsh.
03:44Yeah.
03:45This is very Welsh.
03:46You did a great thing just before the titles that people do,
03:48is you went through everyone you know that's ill.
03:50Yeah.
03:51Yeah.
03:51Yeah, I won.
03:52I won 4-3.
03:55Excellent.
03:56Right, well, listen, I'm on your side, David.
03:57I'll keep an eye on this and make sure there's no skullduggery
04:00or tomfoolery.
04:01Reece against David.
04:02Countdown to Tuesday afternoon.
04:04Let's do Countdown.
04:07David, off you go.

05:42Asteroid. Excellent. Well, David, great start for you.

06:43Well, it's a consonant.
06:46It's a vowel.
06:47Pot, are it?
06:48In the vowel.
06:49Reece? Six. And David? Six. Nice. Let's get you on the board, Reece.
06:53Morg. Yeah, David.
06:57Yeah. Morg, yes, kind of jumped out a little bit there.
07:00So if we dig a little bit deeper, where do we get dictionary corner?
07:04I don't know. No, just one of the six we had, really.
07:07Yeah. Remove. Remove, yeah.
07:09But also, the rough, like someone that's very rough.
07:12Yes. That's also a six. Not having that.
07:15Let's get the numbers for the first time today. David?
07:19Could I have two large, please, and four small?
07:22I thought you might say that. Thank you, David.
07:24Two large ones, four little ones.
07:26And the first numbers of this contest are nine, seven, two, four.
07:31And the large ones, one hundred and twenty-five.
07:34With the target, 323.
07:37Ree, two, three. Numbers up.
07:39The title of the curtain of the curtain,
07:44311 more不行
07:47Therefore, let's get started.
07:49Very quickly, three.
08:00I see a tape on the curtain,

08:28Straight to 3, 2, 5.
08:29Yeah, minus the 2.
08:30Lovely.
08:30Ten apiece.
08:31Nice.

08:35All right, first Tea Town teaser of the day with the scores 24-16 is multi-dine.
08:42Multi-dine.
08:43The two of them could have as many free soft drinks as they wished,

08:48The two of them could have as many free soft drinks as they wished,
08:51so get ready for this.
09:08Welcome back.
09:08Good musical reference in there with the get ready for this.
09:11It was unlimited free drinks and, of course, two unlimited.
09:14What was there?
09:15Was it No Limits?
09:16That's the one, yeah.
09:17That was it.
09:17Huge fan.
09:18Oh!
09:19Huge fan.
09:19I got the 12-inch of that.
09:21Do you know what?
09:22I think I had it as well.
09:23I had the 12-inch as well, yeah.
09:25All right, let's get some letters now.
09:27The limit will be nine, and you're picking them.
09:29Rhys.
09:31Consonant, please.
09:31Thank you, Rhys.
09:59Great selection so far.
10:00A final I.
10:01Let's start that clock.
10:03Let's start that clock.
10:04Let's start that clock.
10:05Let's start that clock.
10:06Let's start that clock.
10:12Let's start that clock.
10:19Let's start that clock.

10:24Let's start that clock.
10:25Let's start that clock.
10:25Let's start that clock.
10:30Let's start that clock.
10:31Let's start that clock.
10:33Reece.
10:34Six. David.
10:36Seven. And a seven.
10:38Reece. Minted. Yes.
10:40David. Pointed. Yes, you'll be
10:42kicking yourself there. Jumps out.
10:44It jumps out. Pointed
10:46for seven. Where else can we go?
10:48There is an eight, we found. Piedmont.
10:51Talk to me about this, Susie.
10:52Yeah, so Piedmont is a region
10:54in north-western Italy. It's in the
10:56foothills of the Alps. Absolutely beautiful.
10:58And with a small P,
11:00named after this, it's a gentle
11:01slope leading from the foot of the mountains
11:03to some flatlands. Ah, Sabrina
11:05would have got that yesterday. She would, actually.
11:07That's true. All their hill climbing.
11:09Excellent work. OK. More letters.
11:11David. Could I start with a vowel, please?
11:14Thank you, David. E.
11:16And another vowel, please.
11:18O.
11:19And a third vowel, please.
11:21E. And a consonant, please.
11:24R. And a consonant, please.
11:26N.
11:27And another consonant, please.
11:30S.
11:31And one more consonant.
11:33C.
11:35One vowel.
11:37A.
11:38And another consonant, please.
11:41A final T.
11:43And here we go.
11:44p,
11:44And a pronunciation, please.
11:45And one more voor thing, but
11:46anyway.
11:49took away.
12:12And another consonant
12:14David? Eight.
12:17Rhys? Seven. Yeah, I had the same intake of breath there.
12:20What's the seven, Rhys? Cornets. Go on, chump.
12:24Enactors. Oh, it's a check.
12:27I've not seen that one. And they are in the dictionary, David.
12:31Well done. Yes!
12:33APPLAUSE
12:34Any time you have Susie reaching for the keyboard,
12:37that's a good sign, David. Yeah.
12:40It sounds to me like you have another eight, though. We have three eights.
12:43Oh, come on. We have three eights. Carotene. Yes.
12:47Resonate. Yeah. And Ancestor.
12:50Loving your work with the eights. But let's get on to those numbers.
12:53What's Rhys going to do? We don't know yet what his style is, Rich.
12:56Let's find out. One large and five small, please, Rachel.
12:59A classic, I would say. A very popular choice, sir.
13:02One large, five little. Let me show you the selection.
13:04They are two, two, four, five.
13:09Seven and the big one, 25.
13:12And the target, 295.
13:14295. Number is up.
13:15That's both Maruello
13:18Yeah.
13:20And, yeah, here's the stars.
13:44Who's in the unknown?
13:47295, Rhys. 295. And for you, David? 295 not written down.
13:52So, David, you'll go first, then. 7 plus 5 is 12. Yep.
13:57Times 25. 300. Minus 4. 296. Minus 2 over 2.
14:032 over 2 for another one and a 10 points. Rhys?
14:067 plus 4 is 11. Yep.
14:102 divided by 2 is the 1, is 12. Yeah, you just switched the scores.
14:14Yeah, I just did it slightly differently. Times 12 and then minus the 5.
14:18Times the 25 for 300. Minus the 5. Yeah.
14:23Great work. Well done.
14:25And you pull in 10 points each as we have our daily chat
14:29with our Dictionary Corner guest. And it changes every week.
14:32Some Dictionary Corner guests will be militant
14:35about what they want to talk about. They'll have a plan for every word.
14:38And Mike is the antithesis of that. And when I'm doing radio,
14:41especially during Covid, and we were going to have a couple of hours
14:44where we were just shooting the breeze and talking, Mike's the first person
14:46you book, because you can throw anything at him.
14:48So I'm going to throw sport at you today. Yeah.
14:51Maybe later in the week we'll talk about the runaway success
14:53of the socially distant podcast that you do.
14:57But I know you just have really enjoyed this period
15:01of Welsh football success after years in the wilderness.
15:04And one particular trip with your son, which is just beautiful.
15:08Yeah. Well, it's the World Cup qualifiers.
15:10And I was trying to get a ticket for the Wales-Ukraine game.
15:12Couldn't get one anywhere.
15:13This is to decide.
15:14The big one, to go to the World Cup for the first time,
15:16you know, since the 50s.
15:18And then a friend of mine got in touch with me, Dan,
15:21and said, I've got two tickets in the family enclosure.
15:23So I took my son. Yeah. Loved it.
15:26We stood right beyond the goal.
15:28And I said, if we score first half, Ben, we're right there.
15:31So we scored first half, right?
15:33And then couldn't see it on the TV, recorded it, couldn't see it anywhere.
15:36And then a friend of mine works in the press corps.
15:37She sent me a photograph.
15:38She said, have you seen this photograph of you and your boy?
15:40And then if you go...
15:41It's like a Caravaggio painting.
15:42Up from the ball, and then my classic John Toshek,
15:461970s Welsh shirt is me.
15:47First face right there with my son going nuts next to me.
15:51But he thinks that's Welsh football now.
15:52He thinks that we just win things and go to major tournaments all the time.
15:55Yeah. And he will remember that for the rest of his life.
15:58Forever.
15:59So this is what I'm going to put you in the spot.
16:00Take me back to your teenage years as a sports-mad teenager.
16:05Just give me a story.
16:06Well, yes, different times, obviously, in the 80s.
16:09Well, my sort of...
16:09When I was his age, maybe a little bit older, sort of 15, 16,
16:14my PE teacher at the time, it was summer term,
16:17said, the rugby team, do you want to go to Wimbledon, see the tennis?
16:21I said, oh, fantastic.
16:22So no forms to fill in, no health and safety,
16:25just pile us all into a sliding door minibus.
16:29So we drove to Wimbledon, really hot day.
16:32He parks up in Wimbledon, the area, and said,
16:34give me a couple of minutes, I'll be back.
16:36Shut the door, left us all in there on our own.
16:3845 minutes, maybe, minimum.
16:41And after 45 minutes, he came back,
16:42we were sweltering in the back of the bus, and he just went, sold out.
16:46LAUGHTER
16:49It just filed under, like, could never happen today.
16:53I think he thought he was just going to turn up and get 16 things
16:55outside the court, you know?
16:57LAUGHTER
16:57I mean, it's like Newport County.
17:00I know.
17:00Oh, that is absolutely brilliant.
17:02Yeah.
17:02One more little thing, because buying a ticket for Welsh football now,
17:07as you say, it's, you know, like, love no money.
17:08Used to be able to get them in the door.
17:10Yeah.
17:10That's what success brings.
17:11And there's a wonderful moment as Wales rose again under Gary Speed.
17:16And that's a Daffod Ewan and an old folk song called
17:19Uma o Heed, which is his...
17:21I'll put it up there with You'll Never Walk Alone and Sunshine in Leith.
17:24And he's performed it live.
17:26And it is as good a clip as you see.
17:28If you haven't seen this, look it up.
17:30And you got to actually perform with him.
17:32Tell us about that.
17:33Well, yeah, I was doing a thing for S4C without a shame, you know.
17:37Yeah.
17:37Called Yacht out of Douth.
17:38About me trying to learn Welsh.
17:40And on the last day of recording, we turned up in a little theatre
17:42in Crosshands, in West Wales.
17:45I walk in there, and then on the stage with his guitar, Daffod Ewan.
17:48So I sang Uma o Heed with Daffod Ewan on stage.
17:50Oh, unbelievable.
17:52Yeah, very nice.
17:53Now, you've opened the floodgates for singing,
17:54so I'm going to give you a day's notice.
17:56We are going to talk Elvis tomorrow.
17:58I'm waiting for this.
17:59I'm waiting for this.
18:00You may have to perform.
18:02So you can dream of tomorrow.
18:04But for now, Mike, thank you.
18:0949.26.
18:10And we get more letters now from David Bittman.
18:12Could I have a vowel, please?
18:15Can indeed.
18:16I.
18:17And a consonant, please?
18:19X.
18:21And a vowel, please?
18:23A.
18:24And a consonant, please?
18:26C.
18:27And a consonant, please?
18:30T.
18:30And another consonant, please?
18:33L.
18:34And a vowel, please?
18:37U.
18:38And another consonant, please?
18:41F.
18:43And another vowel, please?
18:47A final O.
18:48Let's do it.
18:50We are ready for a minute.
19:20David? Just a five. And Rhys? A six. A chance to close that gap. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
19:27David? Float. And for you, Rhys? Oxtail. Well done. Well done. Yes, there you go.
19:33Oxtail, an important six points for Rhys. It's game on. What else did you find in the soup of those
19:38letters?
19:39Well, it was tough because there was no E there. So we also had oxtail, but I'm wondering if we
19:42can have foxtail.
19:44You can have foxtail, yes. Inspired by Rhys. A common meadow grass. Soft, sort of brush-like flowering spikes. Well
19:52done.
19:52Rhys, you had that as well? I did. I was going to listen to how many he had and then
19:56gamble weather.
19:58If you just watch the odd episode of Countdown, you may not pick up on the nuance of that. It's
20:03so, so important.
20:04If you pick the letters, you declare first, and that's very much part of the tactics of the game.
20:08So you actually played it well. Six was the right choice. Get the points on the board.
20:12But if you lose by one, well, we'll just remind you of the foxtail moment.
20:16Your letters, Rhys. Can I have a consonant, please, Rachel? Thank you, Rhys.
20:20R. And a vowel. E. And a consonant, please. T. And a vowel. I. And a consonant. L.
20:35G. And another consonant, please. N. And a vowel, please. And a final E.
20:48Good luck, everybody.
20:49Thank you, Rhys.
21:20Rhys? Just a six. David? Eight. Look at that. Look at that, Rhys. Retail. And for you,
21:26David? Integral. Integral. Very nice. Nice spot. Nice spot for integral. Did you have
21:33integral written down? We didn't. No, we didn't. You had to look like you were caught stealing
21:37there. So what else have you got? Two other eights. Gratinny. Gratinny. Sounds French,
21:44but, you know. It is. Gubbly. It's when you've got... The cheese. Yeah, au gratin. So onion soup and you
21:49have
21:49the kind of gratin. Lovely. Lovely. And alerting. A bucket of eights, but all we care about now is
21:55the numbers. And David, it's on you. May I have two large and four small, please? You've got a usual
22:00now, David. You can have the usual. Thank you very much. Too large or a little coming up for you.
22:04And they are nine, one, ten, ten. Uh-oh. And the large one's 25 and 75. Could be fruity. Let's
22:13see.
22:14The target, 238. 238. Number's up.
22:18MUSIC PLAYS
22:49238. Tricky enough. David? 239. One away. Yes, Rhys? 239. Yes. Join most of the nation. David,
22:57off you go for one away. 25 times one of the tens. 250. Minus the other ten. 240. Minus the
23:07one.
23:08One away. Lovely. Same way, Rhys? Not quite. 25 minus one. 24. Yep. Times 10. 240. And then the other
23:18ten minus the nine is one. Take that one away. 239. Yep. It was, as you said, Rachel, fruity.
23:25Yes. So 238. I said fruity. Unfortunately, that fruit was a durian. This is banned from many
23:30areas because it's stinky. And that one was impossible. One away is the best you could have done.
23:33Well done, both of you. Lovely key tag to you for this. Weeds ahoy. Weeds ahoy. You spot
23:41Hank in the make-up department. You spot Hank in the make-up department.
23:59Hello again. The Hank who was in the make-up room was Hank Marvin. Of course, Hank Marvin in the
24:04shadows,
24:04which gets us to eye shadow as the answer. Right. Let's get underway again, Rhys, and you're going to pick
24:10these letters. Can I have a consonant, please, Rachel? Thank you, Rhys. T. And another. M. And a vowel,
24:20please. A. And another. O. And a consonant. S. And a vowel, please. A. And another one, please. E. And
24:35a consonant.
24:35W. And another consonant, please. Lastly, T. All right, let's play.
24:43T. All right, let's play.
25:13Rhys. Er, risky six. And David? A risky six. OK. Let's see if it's the same, Rhys. Matts.
25:22Spell? M-A-T-T-E-S. And David? Totems. And totems. More than one totem pole.
25:28Yes. Unusual, this. Had to do a lot of digging in the dictionary, but a mat is a mask used
25:34to obscure
25:35part of an image in a film and allowing other images to be substituted, so you can put the S
25:40on that.
25:40Excellent. And totems fine. Yes, absolutely fine. Stoat. Stoat is there, which is a five. Five.
25:47Yeah, we can actually do better than five, so well done. All right, 70 plus 45. Let's get more letters
25:52now from David.
25:54May I have a vowel, please, Rachel? Thank you, David. I. And another vowel, please. U.
26:01And a consonant, please. N. And a consonant, please. D. And a vowel, please. O. And a consonant,
26:11please. L. And a consonant, please. H. And a vowel, please. A. And another vowel, please.
26:24Lastly, E. Countdown.
26:27E. Countdown.
26:28E. Countdown.
26:33E. Countdown.
26:58David Bateman? Six.
27:00Rhys Morgan? Yeah, six.
27:01What's the six, David? Nodule.
27:03And for you, Rhys? Handle.
27:06And handle? Very good indeed.
27:08Nodule and handle. Very nice.
27:10And sixes, and what else?
27:12Well, there is an eight, which I, first of all,
27:15jokingly wrote down head lion, that's the chief lion,
27:18but there is a lion head.
27:19There is, and believe it or not, it's a goldfish.
27:22Ah! With a very large head.
27:23Beautiful. Beautiful.
27:2676.51.
27:27We have four more rounds to go,
27:29and if you can hold on a second, get Susie's email by gout.
27:32Well, most of us would be in bed on antibiotics
27:34and all sorts of painkillers.
27:36You've got this terrible dental condition.
27:38I am on the antibiotics.
27:39Yes, absolutely. Lots of painkillers.
27:41Yes, we have to keep telling her every day that she was here,
27:43but we're going to spur you the origins of words
27:46because you just do that all on your own,
27:47and that is a lot to do with a mouth sitting out like this.
27:51Yes, just can't open it too widely.
27:53So, four rounds to go.
27:54You don't have to wait for them, Rhys.
27:55We'll get on with it.
27:56Consonant, please.
27:57Thank you, Rhys.
27:59S.
27:59And another, please.
28:04And a consonant, please.
28:08V.
28:10And a vowel, please.
28:13And another vowel, please.
28:17And a consonant, please.
28:21And a consonant, please.
28:23And a vowel, please.
28:27This is a consonant, please.
28:29But what will you do?
28:29You too?
28:58MUSIC CONTINUES
28:59And for you, David?
29:00Seven.
29:01Seven, what's the word, Rhys?
29:03Repulse.
29:03And what about you?
29:04Same.
29:05Excellent.
29:06There you go.
29:06We're repulsed twice here.
29:08What about in Dictionary Corner?
29:09We've got two more, eight.
29:11Yeah.
29:11We've got pleasure.
29:13That's simple.
29:14And a favourite word of mine, pearlers.
29:16Pearlers, which, do you know what?
29:17We had the other week as well, and we got into it, didn't we,
29:20about sort of the dictionary definition of it,
29:22because we think a great goal, don't we?
29:24Yeah.
29:25Yeah.
29:25A couple of pearlers.
29:26Absolute pearlers.
29:26Yeah.
29:27A couple of pearlers, those two.
29:28Ah, yeah.
29:28David and Rhys, couple of pearlers,
29:30and we're into the last letters with David.
29:33May I have a vowel, please, Rachel?
29:35You may.
29:35Thank you, David.
29:36A.
29:38And another vowel, please.
29:39I.
29:41And a third vowel, please.
29:42E.
29:44And a consonant, please.
29:46Y.
29:47And another consonant, please.
29:49G.
29:50And another consonant, please.
29:56S.
29:57And a vowel, please.
30:00A.
30:01And a final consonant, please.
30:03And a final consonant, please.
30:03And a final D.
30:04Lost letters.
30:05And a vowel, please.
30:06And a vowel, please.
30:22And a vowel, please.
30:23And a vowel, please.
30:23And a vowel, please.
30:24And a vowel, please.
30:24And a vowel, please.
30:24And a vowel, please.
30:25And a vowel, please.
30:26And a vowel, please.
30:26And a vowel, please.
30:30And a vowel, please.
30:36David?
30:37Just six.
30:38And Rhys?
30:39Yeah, six.
30:40Off you go, David.
30:41Saying.
30:42And for you, Rhys?
30:43Exactly the same.
30:44There you go.
30:45Great minds and all that.
30:47And talking of great minds.
30:48We just find a seven.
30:50Yeah.
30:51Gainsay?
30:52Yes, to contradict or deny the fact.
30:54There you go.
30:55Excellent stuff.
30:56No Disney ending then for Rhys.
30:58That'll do for David.
30:59Weird not having you having a crucial kind of conundrum
31:02and a nail-biter.
31:03But listen, only because you've been brilliant.
31:06You're on 89 already.
31:07Rhys on a spectacular 64 already.
31:10But it's not going to get it done.
31:11So let's enjoy these last two rounds.
31:13What are you going to do with the numbers?
31:14Can I have four large and two small, please?
31:16You can indeed.
31:17Out with a bang.
31:18One of the best selections, if I do say so.
31:21Two little ones.
31:22They are five and six.
31:24And often a challenge.
31:2550, 25, 75, 100.
31:29And the target to reach 847.
31:32847.
31:33847.
31:33Numbers up.
31:34$1.
31:35$1.
31:38$4.
31:42$4.
32:02$5.
32:058, 4, 7. Rhys?
32:078, 4, 8.
32:108, 4, 8. One away. David?
32:128, 4, 5.
32:138, 4, 5 is two away. Rhys, you are holding your forehead and all.
32:16We're willing you through this. Come on.
32:195 plus 6 is 11. Yep.
32:22Times 75. 8, 2, 5.
32:25Plus the 25. 8, 50.
32:28And then 100 divided by 50... Is 2.
32:31Is 2. And take that away.
32:32And 7 points.
32:33Well done, Rhys. 7 points. Gets you to 71.
32:36Was there another 3 possible there?
32:38There was, yeah. A little rejiggle of this.
32:42So, 100 divided by 50 is 2.
32:45Add it to the 75 for 77.
32:48And then 6 plus 5 is 11.
32:51And just times them together. 8, 4, 7.
32:56So, here we go, Rhys.
32:57It would be nice to go out with a big 81 score, wouldn't it?
33:00Which you can do with this Countdown Conundrum.
33:02And yet again, we see David flirting with the century,
33:05but not quite getting there.
33:06On 89 at the moment, as we reveal this Tuesday afternoon,
33:10Countdown Conundrum.
33:11REECE
33:12REECE
33:30REECE
33:32Outfoxing.
33:32You have done exactly that to David.
33:35Yeah.
33:37APPLAUSE
33:38There's something I love about that after, of course, Fox Tailgate.
33:42Yeah.
33:42That you got outfoxing in the very last round.
33:46Oh, yeah.
33:46Oh, dear.
33:46Well, listen, what a delight to have you.
33:48Thank you for having me.
33:49You'll see Mike next Tuesday at the golf club, anyway.
33:51Yeah, no doubt, yeah.
33:53And, hey, we really have another conundrum here.
33:56You've ran out of ink.
33:57What are we going to do?
33:58You've used the four colours, David.
33:59Ah!
34:01Start again.
34:02Start again.
34:02Start again.
34:03Two fours make eight.
34:04I don't even need Rachel for that one.
34:06So, perfect stuff.
34:07Halfway to a comment, and Dr Champ will see you tomorrow.
34:10Excellent stuff.
34:11Mike, Susie, wonderful.
34:13You did most of the talking.
34:14You did most of the pain.
34:15Great.
34:17Rachel, what trooper she is.
34:18And that means we're going to have another red letter day as well.
34:21Yes, lovely.
34:22Tomorrow, then, we will see you.
